There are a wide variety of goods being offered, and the prices are often even cheaper than Dollarama (though some stuff is kinda overpriced in comparison, like $30 kitchen shelves?) so I guess they win some lose some. I found some really good deals for plates, kitchenware, hair accessories, stationary, and foam rollers. As soon as we came in, we were greeted and asked what we could be helped with. We were directed to the aisle we needed, and told to ask staff on the floor for any questions we had on the products. Sure enough, there were dozens of brands and models on the shelves. A floor staff came by and offered assistance. We asked what brands they personally preferred, and they gave their top 2 recommendations. We narrowed our choices, also noting that several models were on sale. In general, I've found their pricing highly competitive before as well. There were so many choices, it was a bit overwhelming to keep the features on them all straight. We easily located another staff passing by, and they answered questions about the models we had narrowed it down to. In total, we approached staff 3 times. They were honest and helpful. Even when we got to the checkouts, the staff asked whether we needed anything else, and mentioned a helpful tip about contacting the manufacturer to inquire about a replacement part for the previous headphones. (Turns out that the manufacturer could do that, and sent the replacement part in the mail free of charge.) We were carefully advised that they can't accept a return on the item if the box is opened, but not a problem with the receipt in the number of days specified otherwise. I also love that they're not in the mall and have ample parking in the plaza. I've never regretted shopping here, so I don't bother buying electronics anywhere else before coming here first.

Tip: If you are buying numerous things here, try to bargain a little with one of the two women there. Save a few bucks. They are more accommodating than the two other men. ^^

He said that repairs may not be possible because the sewing machine is more than 30 years old and replacement parts would be hard to find, but agreed to try. I schlepped our sewing machine out to the World Sew Centre location in Agincourt Mall. The owner never called me -- I always had to call him for status updates. He told me that the machine's hook gear and possibly the bobbin case needed to be replaced and gave me only a vague estimate of the cost of the repair. He offered me no suggestions on where to find the parts. I did my own research and sent him an e-mail with my findings, asking him to confirm that the parts I found were the correct parts needed for the repair. The owner never replied to the e-mail. I called him to ask if the parts I found were indeed the correct parts. He said he never received the e-mail (unlikely!) and that, anyway, he would not repair a machine using third-party parts (?!). It's too much to list every single product that they have but some of them include seasonal decorations (Halloween items are displayed throughout from plates, mugs, and pumpkins to skeletons), art supplies (markers, paints, pencils, tie dye kit), stationary, desks, desk chairs, couches, rugs, bedding, lighting (such as lamps), photo frames, large trash bins, candles of all sizes and scents, fake plants and flowers, flower pots, powdered peanut butter, tea mixes with mugs, more sustainable and reusable products (set of eating utensils to use instead of single-use plastic ones, metal and silicone straws, silicone freezer bags, silicone sandwich bags, vegan wax cubes for extending the life of vegan wax food wraps), all the regular snacks, pots and pans and even Chinese sausage (lap cheong!). I never thought I'd see that at HomeSense. On the Marshalls side there's plenty of backpacks for back-to-school, a lot of footwear and it's too bad that I didn't find any clothing that I liked this time but I'll be back for sure and maybe next time I'll find something.
