I have visited this location 4 times. Every time the staff was knowledgeable and very friendly. It is definitely worth the drive in and they were supportive of accommodating my wheelchair. Great selection of ham radios and other electronics. I have been there twice, the first time purchase a radio and another time for an antenna. I found the staff very knowledgeable and helpful. I've been going to this place for as long as I can remember - always great staff. First time I've ever had a problem was today and Jack Summers treated me like garbage and even said the amount of my purchase this time didn't warrant his concern. It feels like going to Your favourite restaurant and being served rotten beef then being told you're not worth the good stuff. Bought a Lowrance Hook Reveal 7SS came with Navionics + US&CAN. Had problems with the unit. Returned it for service and the card did not come back with it. They say it was not in it when it was received, but it absolutely was. They said they would replace it and send me a Lowrance Elite Bundle card which does not have near the number of lakes as the original one. Call back and they said they weren't sure what I had in it, not sure why I told them what it was and they should know what came with the unit. They said they did the best they could. Personally I'm not sure why anyone would shop here. I went there because I believe in supporting local business. However, after purchasing a short wave radio for $462.00 taxes included (Seagean 909x2), and trying it out for a few days, I was not satisfied with the reception and tried returning it for a refund. Regardless of the fact that the radio and packaging were all in pristine condition, I was advised of a 20% restocking fee ($80). They do not post this in the store but it is on the bill that you see after you purchased. After complaining they agree to drop the restocking fee to 10% ($40.00). As a matter of principal I kept the radio. These people do not understand the concept of good customer relationship and do not stand behind their products. They also do not understand that this customer will never set foot inside their store again. I could have bought this product on Amazon for the same price and had a customer satisfaction guarantee. Personally, I do not know why anyone would shop here. I certainly won't. read more

Prices are great and the selection is top notch and a very good staff who know the products. Truly a terrific retailer that is privately owned and operated and not a big corporate store... They are very bad at communicating. Don't expect them to contact you. You will have to hound them for information. They really need a lesson in good customer service. Also when I placed an order only one of the two items were shipped. I had to follow up and got a blunt answer that it is on backorder. But the worst thing was they charged me for the full order even though they only shipped half. Last I looked that was against consumer laws. Hopefully they will eventually ship the rest. Horrible customer service, inaccurate inventory tracking and expensive prices. Called once asking if an item was in stock; they said yes so drove 50kms to store to pick it up. Got there, item wasn't in stock. Frustrating. They promised to call when the item arrived. After a week and a half of waiting, I called them since they promised a few days and hadn't heard from them. They indicated they had 4 in stock. A little perturbing considering they were supposed to call me. Still, I drove another 50kms to the store only to find out... THEY DIDN'T HAVE ANY IN STOCK!!!! The store employee indicated they had "probably sent them all to the boat show." What kind of communication between employees and inventory tracking system is that??? My FIL purchsed an in stock Morse code reader for $100.00 + tax on 24 Dec 2014. Upon trying the product when he arrived home in London he discovered that not only did the product not have the capability to do what it was advertised to do, it was of such poor construction that the battery cover would not fit on with the 9v battery installed. I drove 30 minutes each way out of my way on 30 Dec 2014 to return the product and was charged a 20% restocking fee. The manager was reluctant to even do the refund and wanted me to take a store credit. As much as we like to support Canadian companies, I wouldn't spend a nickel at Radioworld. read more

Had the displeasure to go into this store today. Lots of pretty displays but not much help from sales staff. Staff are not familiar with what they are selling and I got attitude from the owner Jack who discounted my concerns about lack of stock and knowledge by sales staff. He resorted to name calling and would not address my legitimate concerns. I did not lose my cool at any time but in comparison to his childish behaviour a 5 year old seems more mature. I would strongly recommend you take your business elsewhere. Numerous others have complained about the snooty attitude of the staff and the owner alike and when concerns are raised you are very matter-of-factly reminded you can go elsewhere to buy your stuff. Well thats exactly what I am going to do and hopefully spread the word along the way about this sorry excuse for a business.....Radioworld seems WAY to big for its britches. Customer service seems to be the furthest thing from their mind.....seperating you from your cash seems to be their number one concern. read more
