The first thing we noticed after the installation was how quiet the house was compared to when we had double-pane windows. The triple-pane windows significantly decrease outside ambient noise. The windows function well and have nice features such as double-hung panes and removable panes, making cleaning easier. Installation services were professional and timely. Out of nearly 30 windows, we had only four with minor defects, and Apex replaced them quickly. It was also nice that the price for the triple-pane windows was as low or lower than double-pane windows offered by competitors. We are happy with our choice of Apex due to their high-quality products, professional service, and reasonable prices.

Extremely Disappointing Service and Communication…read more Unfortunately, I cannot recommend Apex Energy Solutions based on our experience. In March 2024, my wife and I purchased replacement windows from Apex after a salesman named Derek came to our home. Derek was professional, knowledgeable, and did a great job during the sales process. We were told the windows would be installed in July 2024, but they were ultimately installed in early October--about three months later than promised. The installation crew itself did a good job, but we had several problems afterward. Some windows were ordered in the wrong size, a bathroom window came off its hinges, several window cranks were not properly attached, and multiple windows--including one that had already been replaced--would not close properly. Jason, Derek's manager, inspected the windows and recommended that some of them be reordered. We were also told that Apex would provide credits for screens that were different from what we were shown during the sales process, as well as for lead abatement that we paid for but which was never performed. Unfortunately, the biggest problem has been the lack of communication and follow-through. From January 2025 through March 2026, I repeatedly contacted Derek, Jason, the local Apex office, customer service, and multiple managers. I was repeatedly told that someone would look into the situation and get back to me. In many cases, nobody ever did. In September 2025, Rakiya from the local office told me that the replacement windows were in stock and that she was working with Jason to schedule the installation. I never heard from either of them again. In February and March 2026, I contacted customer service again and was eventually connected with a manager named Djordje Markovic, who said he would check the warehouse for the replacement windows. Once again, I never received a follow-up. I eventually contacted GreenSky Financial in March 2026 for assistance. To their credit, they were able to get the credits for the screens and lead abatement applied to our account in April. However, as of August 26, 2026, we still have not received the replacement windows Apex agreed to provide. I understand that mistakes happen, but what I find unacceptable is the lack of communication and accountability afterward. We have repeatedly reached out and given Apex numerous opportunities to resolve the issues, yet we have been unable to get anyone to take ownership of the problem. The initial sales experience was excellent, and the installation crew did a good job. Unfortunately, the company's customer service and follow-through after the sale have been extremely disappointing. **After more than two years, we still have unresolved issues with our windows. Based on our experience, I cannot recommend Apex Energy Solutions.**

Mr Window - Missing trim on the right side of door. And siding that was not securely attached.

My story with Mr. Window is a little more complicated and drawn out than atypical jobs…read more I signed the contract to have windows and 2 doors installed in 2020. During that time frame between Dec 2020 through July 2021, I went through a divorce, caught long term COVID and wasn't able to work from November to March, and injured my back at work causing me to retire early in May 2024. I remained on disability until May when I retired. Luckily, because of lack of knowledge on Joe's behalf, the front door was incorrectly measured and the bay windows were unable to be installed as they "needed a header" which Joe was going to charge me an additional $4000. I informed Joe I wasn't going to pay the extra money as I had asked several times during the consultation visit if bay windows could be installed. Joe confirmed they could. Joe eventually asked me to pay half , which I reluctantly agreed to. My finances became a struggle so I had to inform Joe I couldn't complete the project at that time as I didn't have the money to pay. We worked out a monthly payment, while it wasn't much, it was at least a good faith showing that I was trying. Finally in the fall of 2024 I was able to move forward and complete the install of 2 bay windows. The door had been written off as undoable. During this time period, I had to have one window repaired, a back door looked at (which is still not fixed and is way out of adjustment), trim around the window and doors (inside and out) missing or has blown off, windows that leak air terribly, and siding that has come loose. To Joe's credit, he was somewhat patient about the delay (what could he have done besides taken me to civil claim court which I had no money to pay him anyway). However, I asked for Joe to come out and do a walkthrough, which was declined as he was "too busy". The bay window project took from the spring of 2024 to fall of 2025 to complete (and is still not properly completed). I called the office and spoke with Andie (who is a very sweet and friendly lady that does her job well), about the issues. The siding was reported to them back on January 19. It was their choice to wait until it warmed up to do the work. Now, Ol' Joe is wanting to charge me $250 the first hour/$199 an hour thereafter, to fix what he couldn't get done correctly in the first place because "their warranty is only for a year after install". Keep in mind, Ol' Joe hasn't spoken to me since he collected the money. He has poor Andie do his dirty work. I would be very very cautious using Mr. Window. Ol Joe can't keep installers because he treats them so poorly and is so difficult to work for so who knows how many installers you may have on your job. He doesn't stand by his products or is labor. If you have a problem and it's out of his timeframe, you'll be paying him big money to fix his mistakes. I will never do business with Mr. Window again. Go with a more reputable and customer oriented company.

Our house is ~120 years old, and we've worked with many contractors over the years while renovating and updating. True Crew has been hands down our best experience. They were attentive to our needs, and helped guide us to wonderful new windows and front door for our house. Their communication was top notch, and when they said they were going to do something, they did it. Their pricing was extremely fair, and they didn't use the same high-pressure or gimmicky tactics that other companies used. The guys who handled the installation were friendly, prompt, and took extra care to ensure every window and the front door were properly installed. Honestly, I can't say enough good things about them. If you're shopping for windows, save yourself the sales pitches I endured and call True Crew. You won't regret it. 10 stars.

In the end, I pursued another option thanks to a friend's connection that got me a very good deal. I contacted Watergate about some roofing issues at my home that I was aware were quite serious. I had two friends who both gave me a good reference for Watergate. One friend indicated they were they only company he'd dealt with that did not default to recommending a new roof. The other friend shared that they support Habitat for Humanity, a nonprofit I also believe in. So, I contacted the company and requested an estimate. They set a date, and their employee arrived on the day and at the time that was scheduled. As I recall, his name was Max. We discussed my concerns. He did a thorough search of my concerns, and indicated he'd be contacting me soon with an estimate. He provided the estimate within the expected time-frame, which ended up being pretty rare among the estimates I did receive. He communicated well. He followed up multiple times. I will note the estimate was the second highest I received, though considerably lower than the highest. However, in their defense I felt like Watergate was really targeting solving all my concerns. They do offer a financing option. One slight customer service quirk of mine - if I e-mail you, I expect an e-mail response. Both times I e-mailed, within five minutes I got a phone call. If I wanted a phone call, I'd call. This is relatively minor, but it did bug me. It didn't bug me enough to drop a star. Overall, I was pleased here. As I noted, I ultimately opted for another choice but I was impressed by the service here. It didn't feel high pressure at all, though there was intentionality. There's a difference. I love that they work in the community. Since I have two friends who also praised them, I have to still give them a thumbs up. While I didn't choose Watergate this time, I was impressed enough that I would still call them again should future work be needed.
