We love our new windows! We replaced our front, West-facing windows this Spring and have really enjoyed them. The bi-directional opening and sliding screen are some of our favorite features. We love that we can open the top portion to vent the room, something we often do to release shower steam from the bathroom. We've also noticed a huge difference in how hot our rooms get in the summer afternoons. We're so glad we went with Apex; they make great windows and we'll definitely be back when it's time to finish our house. They drop a star for the change in attentiveness after the sale. But they do have support staff here in the US and can be reached on the phone easily. read more

Do not do it!!! Had my windows replaced by Apex several months ago. The job is still incomplete. They are impossible to get a hold of, don't return calls or emails. My project manager Russell has never been out to see the job and not sure if he even still works there. He is the worst. In the process now of getting my lawyers involved. Horrible experience. Terrible customer service. So bad, theirs should be called disservice. Installed our doors and then had to come back to caulk and put up trim. That was two months ago and now they will not call back. After payment is received, the contractor becomes unresponsive, leaving the customer to work directly with Alside, the window manufacturer. The initial sales presentation, including references and Mark Twain quotations, does not reflect the actual customer experience. The windows are decent, but the installation was mediocre. read more

Absolute worst customer service I have experienced in over 40 years of dealing with home contractors. Several months late with very little communication. On the day of 1st install attempt, the installers quickly determined that all the windows (22 in total) were all measured incorrectly and would have to be re-made. Several weeks later they returned and installed all but 1 specialty window and informed that it would be a few extra weeks to get that window done, that was 10 months ago. Still not complete and cannot get any response from anyone at the company including the regional mgr, John Stooksbury. In summary, run from this company and save yourself a ton of aggravation and trouble. At least 2 other companies in the Columbus, Ohio market that have proven track records. read more

It was a bit of a sales pitch but the comprehensive approach gives a true understanding of the quality of the product and the quality of people behind the product. I appreciated Andrew's laidback style. Definitely not pushy. He answered all of our questions. I asked for several different quotes to see what would work best for us and he didn't hesitate to break down that info for me. Price range was unbeatable. Can't wait to have new energy efficient windows and doors. Update Dec 10th: I'd give them negative stars if I could. My original install in July had wrong sliding glass door and 1 broken window. It took 2 months to get the sliding glass door fixed after me calling twice asking for an update. Our salesman, Andrew, did NOT respond to my call or emails. Finally got someone to answer customer service and trying to make it right. However I still, in December do not have my broken window replaced. Apparently it was shipped to the wrong state and customer service said it would be faster to make another. There is no accountability no follow through and no service. This company should be shut down! Absolutely horrible. Do not use this company! I 100% regret it. I am reporting to BBB. read more

This has been a horrible experience. Do not use this company. I am now 10 months into a large Window replacement project, and still do not have all of my windows, and I am waiting on replacement windows. One window was damaged on delivery and reordered 5 months ago, 13 windows had incorrect window grids and were reordered 5 months ago, and two windows are being remanufactured for the second time because they weren't made correctly for my opening - twice. This is out of an original window order for 39 windows. While the installed windows are a good product, and the initial sales experience was a good one, this company has been a colossal failure operationally. They promise you windows in 8-10 weeks but they don't arrive until 20 weeks later. And heaven forbid there be anything wrong with them, because I am now an additional 20 weeks after the initial install ( 40 weeks or 10 months total now) and still no corrected or missing windows! This has been the worst remodeling experience of my life. read more

My APEX windows are in and I am a happy camper. I had a first rate experience from sales to installation. I love the fact that there is a lifetime warranty, transferrable to a new owner if needed. I love that you can tilt the top and bottom window in for easy cleaning. And I love that you can open for ventilation at the top (the screen can slide up for that. So far, very happy with it all. The installers were very neat and did a great clean-up before leaving. I had a bunch of different vendors out due to the original windows failing (builder grade) and Alex had a top flight product for a very competitive price. read more

I would not recommend this company. Purchased windows several years ago because one of the reasons was the warranty. Once you purchase the windows it is next to impossible to get a window replaced. When you file a claim which I did twice so far, the company will deny your claim but will not contact you to let you know that your claim has been denied. You have to call in 4 weeks to check the status and when you call them to check the status, you are unable to talk to a supervisor or get anyone to help you. They are not allowed to involve a supervisor for some reason? Unable to get any help of how to measure a window, you are told to hire a contractor to measure the window because they will not send anyone to measure. They sure sent someone when I needed NEW windows though. I probably should have hired a contractor for new windows instead of this company. I am sure with incorrect measurements it will be my fault and still will not get the window replaced. read more

Apex replaced all the windows in my two-story home, and I couldn't be happier with my new windows. They look beautiful and the energy savings is amazing. My electric bill (all-electric home) is considerably less, and my home is much warmer. Before having my news windows installed I had several cold spots in my house, and the furnace ran almost constantly. Apex has many designs of windows, and they will assist you in choosing a style that will compliment your home. These windows were very fairly priced, much better quality windows than other estimates I had obtained yet less expensive. Excellent warranty as well. The installation crew was excellent also. We just had all of the windows in our home replaced by Apex. It took 6 months from time of ordering for them to be received. Installation took two days starting on Valentine's Day and completed the next day. So far, we are extremely pleased with our selected window styles. All windows are triple paned & it is definitely noticeable at the noise reduction difference. An impressive feature of these windows is that you can choose the outside frame color and choose a different inside frame color. This company will lead you to believe that you are getting custom windows, instead you are getting custom FITTED windows. They are getting their windows from a wholesale company and then putting fillers in to fit inside your existing cut out. The actual glass of the new window will be significantly smaller than your original window glass. read more

We had windows installed in the spring of 19. At the time I was told I owe X. Then they come back and say an addendum wasn't included and I owe more. t the same time one window was not set right and is crooked. The sliding door they put in drops a quarter to half inch from one side to the other. The service guy never called to schedule until late November. A new service guy and seems nice have him scheduled to come out next week. They have continued to call for money owed even though job is not done. Attached is a picture of what they call a blemish when done. I call it poor workmanship. Through this have not heard from salesman or management. Cowards! read more

I would not recommend this window company. We spent around 40k for new windows and were extremely dissatisfied with the lack of professionalism of this company. Our sales person miscommunicated several important facts about the installation of the windows and the instal process. Make sure you read the fine print because despite us talking with him about having to change a few custom window treatments, it turns out we had to replace all windows treatments, which cost an additional10k. The salesman offered us $500 for this and admitted that he led us to believe we would only have to redo a few window treatments. And, it took them 4-5 visits to finish install due to more miscommunications. Since it took so long, the company we financed with, that they recommended, cancelled the contract assuming we didn't get the windows! Apex isn't even familiar enough with the finance company to know that if the install doesn't take place within 3 months of signing, it automatically cancels. We thought it was strange when Apex called and said we cancelled the financing, but were unsure what happened. Shortly after this, Apex, filed a lawsuit against us for non-payment! We just had to reapply for the financing and the payment was once again in place. Despite the poor communication and bad service, if the windows were top notch, we would have been happy. They aren't. They are cheap, screens are not properly fitted and we have not seen any changes in our heating and cooling bills. I would not recommend this company to my worst enemy. Buyer beware! read more
