I don't know much about pho and what deems it good or bad, but I went with some friends and they said it was one of the best places they've been to and they would come back again! We came on a saturday in the afternoon and it wasn't packed at all, maybe due to the fact it was hidden in a shopping center, but there was a huge amount of tables and staff continuously checked up on us. I've had pho once before and I didn't enjoy it, but trying it from EAD changed my mind and gave me a new obsession. The broth was very flavorful in my opinion and my favorite part was the consistency of the noodles.

I tried this restaurant since I had been to one of their other locations close to my work and it…read morewas decent. This location has the addition of sushi and some americanized Chinese dishes. On a weeknight, there isn't much of a crowd and really just 1 other table of customers. I was able to pick pretty much anywhere to sit. The menu is pretty extensive and has all of the vietnamese basics for a noodle shop. I tried the House Special Fried Shrimp Cake and Fried Egg Rolls as an appetizer, and a small fatty brisket and fatty flank steak bowl of pho. Prices are average id say for this type of food and certainly much less than the nearly $18 bowl of pho I had about 6 miles away last week. The soup broth is very similar to their other location, which was pretty good. It isn't the best bowl of soup in the Houston area, but it surely does the job if you're craving a bowl of pho. The egg rolls are pretty standard, I just wish they gave you more lettuce as the amount provided only is enough for 2 of the 4 egg rolls. The shrimp cake is something I've never tried but just made with sheet tofu and shrimp paste. It's pretty good if you like that texture. You eat them the same way as the egg rolls wrapped in lettuce and add the veggies. Again, the amount of lettuce provided is only enough for 2 of the 4 cakes. The ambiance is nice and they were playing a mix of modern pop and dance music in the dining area.

Since we were craving Chinese, we decided to order the Mongolian beef, egg drop soup, and beef lo mein. The lo mein was a little greasy and the noodles were a little too soft for me, but overall decent. The Mongolian beef was not what I was expecting. The sauce was not as thick and it didn't have the traditional spicy taste to it. I had to add some chili oil to make it more flavorful. The egg drop soup was what you would to expect at any Chinese restaurant. Overall, the food was decent and the prices were fair.

The food at Saigon USA Pho is genuinely flavorful, and we've always enjoyed their pho and other…read moredishes. However, I've noticed that the prices have gone up while the portions, especially the amount of meat, have gotten noticeably smaller. I usually order the combination pho, and while the broth is very flavorful, there is surprisingly little meat in the bowl. Our bowls also had no tendon or tripe, which was disappointing since it's supposed to be a combination pho. One thing that really stood out to me was the difference between the regular and large combination pho. The large bowl has significantly more broth, but it looks like it has pretty much the same amount of meat as the regular bowl. If you're ordering the large because you want more meat and ingredients, you may be disappointed. I don't mind paying a little more when the quality and portions justify it, but at the current prices, I would expect the amount of meat to be more generous. The flavors are still really good, but for the price, the value just isn't what it used to be.

Some days the food is better than others, but it's been hit & miss with freshness, quality (and order accuracy). The dishes aren't prepared differently - flavor, quality, presentation. Still enjoy their pho (noodle soups) pretty well. The broth is rich and flavorful. But, most times the noodles are overcooked and stuck together, they're skimpy with the herbs, and the veggies aren't very fresh... The egg rolls have become very puny and the spring rolls don't have much filling either. Still our go-to for convenience, but we are on the lookout for a better option in the area.

The service is kinda non existent.. the chef was just kinda standing behind me while I'm looking. I love the design of the place but it's not well maintained. The chicken breast was a bit tough but the pho broth was decent so are the noodles and vegetables. The menu was quite broad and this was a first try. The service was laid back and on the slower pace. Our cups never went empty, and everyone was friendly. Food: The food is a very good-sized portion, and it is definitely a shareable plate. We ordered the dinner plates that came with soup, an egg roll, a Rangoon, and the dish of your choice. I chose the sweet-and-sour chicken and was not disappointed! The chicken comes without the sauce, so it stays crispy; the sauce isn't that hot pink stuff you get at other places; it was a sauce like no other. It was so very delicious! Overall: The place was a bigger restaurant, but it didn't have a ton of people in it, I think it was a Wednesday night, so I would imagine it might get busier on Fridays. Anyway, it was quiet and clean. I would be more than happy to dine there again.

The woman who took the order over the phone and at the pick up counter wasn't very personable. Seemed as if she was rushing around although the restaurant wasn't at all busy inside. Perhaps just having a bad night? We ordered Chicken Lo Mein, General Tao's, Honey Walnut Chicken, crab puffs, and spring rolls -- portions for dishes were fairly standard, all of which were just ok regarding flavor and texture. General Tso's lacked spice and the texture of the chicken was gristly. Lo Mein was average tasting. Honey Walnut Chicken actually had more spice than the General Tso's... but regardless, was pretty bland. The crab puffs had hardly any cream cheese filling, and the ends of the fried pieces were hard and chewy which was disappointing. How can you screw up a crab puff? The best thing we ate were the spring rolls which were light and crispy paired with the sweet and sour sauce. We wanted to like this place, however, there are far superior Chinese restaurants in the area. I doubt we will try again.
