On a quest for a new nail salon I got recommended this one. When I first called the salon said they were busy for the whole day but could schedule an appointment for the same day. When I first got there I was a bit skeptical. The neighborhood did not look the nicest and when I walked in to the salon it was empty and run by all men. I'm glad I gave them a shot because Eric does the best manicures I have ever had! I was getting my nails done in Danville and paying quite a lot more but Eric does a better job. They also do excellent pedicures and did not hurt me. All of their utensils were sealed in individual bags that had been sterilized which is a must for me. The men working here were all very respectful. I have gotten my nails done here several times and every time they look perfect and stay perfect for weeks unlike a lot of other salons I've been to where your nails look like crap after one week. There are also women that work here as well but I love Eric's work. He is like a manicure artist.. I saw several women come in with photos of complex designs and he matched the photos exactly. This was my second time coming here, and I have been seeing Eric for my acrylic & gel. He and the owner are super friendly and actually talk and joke with you while working. It seems that everyone is passionate about what they do. The only downfall (which isn't really a downfall), is that they take longer than the average nail salon, so if you're on a time-crunch, this may not be the place for you. I've come here before for manicures and even acrylic nails without much of an issue. I came in 3 days ago with an appointment to get an acrylic nail removal and gel manicure. Upon service I noticed there was no bowl to all them off which makes sense because she decided to rip off my acrylics instead of soaking them off(Last time I got a removal from them they were soaked) causing me to be in great pain and caused my nails to ridged. Afterwards, I got a rushed gel manicure with horribly shaped nails that looked worse than when she started. I asked could she reshape one of them because it was crooked and she proceeds to tell me that she can't because the nail was already supposedly straight and that the shape was due to the white part of my nail being long however even after being polished the nail looked horribly crooked. She barely touched my cuticles leaving a lot of cuticle still attached. I expected a better job especially after being kept waiting for almost 20 minutes even though I had an appointment. Overall and extremely sloppy and painful job. This was my absolute last time going to this establishment. read more

Late review but I went here a few weeks ago with my mom, sister in law and my boyfriend. We called for 2 pedis, 2 manis, 1 full set and 1 fill the day before for a 530 appointment the following day because that weekend was my sister in law's baby shower. We got there around 520 and we knew we were early but we wanted them to know we were there in case they could take us earlier. They sat my mom and me for the two pedis at about 550 but didn't get started for about another 15 minutes. My sister in law didn't get seated til about 625 for her full set and my fill didn't get started til a little before 630 which was after my pedi. My mom and boyfriend had the two manis and were started right before. We all were rushed. The men doing the pedis were rough and cut multiple toes. My sister in law had a huge cut on one of her fingers and the guy didn't even apologize or wipe the blood. My fill was also rushed and the nails had all different shapes. They never apologized for taking us later than our appointment, never apologized for cutting our fingers and they were too rushed because it was getting close to closing. I got the deluxe pedicure and they did all the basics plus put 3 different creams and hot stone massage. The polish colors and glitters are amazing. seeing I was the only person in the salon on a Tuesday afternoon, I had high hopes of being pampered and relaxed given the high rating on Yelp. this spot was not located in the best area, surrounded by a few restaurants far from downtown. I asked for the deluxe pedi and gel mani. Older man did my deluxe pedi and it was so relaxing!! however, the polish was put on rather sloppily and cuticles weren't as smooth as I usually like it. Still enjoyed it, and for the price was a good value. My mani was another story... the lady soaked my fingers in acetone for too long which caused my cuticles to end up super dry and cracked...! after a quick dip in water she proceeded to cut my nails and trim cuticles. after washing my hands, I still noticed a lot of hangnails so I asked her to go over the cuticles again, this time cutting through the skin on one of my fingers. after filing, she filed too close to my skin causing another cut. Once it was time for the gel/shellac, she didn't wipe down the edges so as they dried, the nail polish dried on my skin and over my cuticles (this is important! this will cause the shellac to lift prematurely and get caught in clothes and hair!) not to mention, she painted over the dried blood on the finger she cut so you could see the blood mixed with the polish . Again, I am the only customer in the place so I am not sure why she did such a lazy job. after leaving, my cuticles looked like a mess and the paint job was mediocre. I'd probably come back just for the deluxe mani cuz it's affordable but won't be trusting them with my nails again. read more

I liked this place the first two times I went. The price is decent and I was able to make an appointment easy. The first time I went in for a full set of acrylics, and two nails end up breaking after a few weeks, which I brushed off. Unfortunately, I wasted my money trying this salon another time. I called ahead to make an appointment, and they didn't start my new set of acrylics until 45 minutes after my appointment time. I could tell they were rushing to do my nails, and they looked mediocre. I ended up getting a fill a few weeks later, but after a week FOUR of my nails broke. I only had these nails applied for less than a month and four nails easily broke. I explained my frustrations to the woman who talked to me first in the salon as well as the man who took off my acrylics, and neither apologized for the awful job. The man who took off my acrylics, at the last table, also did a horrible job removing and painting my nails, and smelled bad. Never returning. read more

I love this place! I called to see if they had availability right away for a gel manicure on a Friday afternoon and was able to make an appointment for 30 minutes later. They were waiting for me when I got there, ready to go. The nail tech was very detailed, and did a good job of getting the edges and tip of the nail. One of my pet peeves with getting my nails done is that they don't ever paint the ENTIRE nail, and they file them crooked. It's hard to get right because of the angle they file at, but this lady did a great job. She happily fixed the couple of spots I pointed out, and was great with the details. Had a really nice experience coming in to get a mani and pedi. Immediately greeted with smiles and walked in without an appointment. The prices are really good and you get a discount if you pay with cash. In most other places, you hear customers talking about how you can tell the workers talk about you in their language, but the workers here didn't really talk while I was getting my nails done and I felt really calm and relaxed through my whole time here. I normally don't review certain things on Yelp but I feel like finding a really good nail salon nowadays is pretty much impossible. I have a usual spot Belle nails that I go to they always do amazing work but get booked up pretty fast. I heard good things and saw that fabulous Nails was high rated on Yelp. I got a male technician it was okay he was nice not super talkative which you don't really expect anyways. The first thing I noticed was that my pinky nail looks like it's veering to the side but that's something that I can kind of let go. I picked out a color close to the OPI bubble bath color but in a gel version which was number 499 I think. After having two coats put on my nails as he was rubbing the alcohol on he turned his station light off and after he rubbed one hand I looked and noticed that the color was extremely blotchy like extremely. Something my other Nail Tech would never let fly. When I told him he didn't get what I was telling him I didn't know any other way to tell him but the color looked blotchy and spotty after he understood he told me it's because it was a light color I picked out and that if I wanted a 3rd coat it would look thick. Which who wants your color to look thick. So I ended up just having him put glitter over my nails to fix it which I'm pretty unhappy about at least it's better than the blotchiness but I am in the business of healthcare marketing and I don't really want to go around with extremely glitter nails but I guess this will have to do for now. After being there for an hour I didn't want to stay much more. Save your $40 and try somewhere else if you want to use light color polish read more

My friend and I walked in after work since this place is right down the street from our job we decided to give it a try. I loved the fact they were able to take 2 walk ins at 6pm. Reason for my rating is that up until I asked for his name, Jason did not talk to me at all, it was honestly a little awkward. He also left a lot of bumps on the middle finger on my left side when he did my full set. My friend said the lady doing her nails (not sure her name but she was the only lady there) completely rushed. The guy who did my nails hurt me. I went in for a fill, and when he started drilling he was burning my nail beds. He chipped part of my real nail, and I kept saying "ouch! That hurts!" He kept going and kept hurting me. After a few moments I started to cry, it was so painful and I walked out for a brief second so I could stop crying. I go inside and another lady offered to do my nails and I let her. She fixed my nails the best she could, but I was still not satisfied. Then while she was doing them, she told me the guy doing my nails said I was whining and walked away cause I didn't like them. I'm sorry, but I work customer service and you don't say stuff like that. After all of the horrible experience, they charged me full price. I'm not someone to ask for discounts, and I didn't ask it's just upsetting. My nails look horrible. I didn't want anyone touching my nails again cause now they need to heal before I can get another fill. My real nails are extremely damaged. came in 2 weeks ago & got a beautiful cat eye set of acrylics, which lasted perfectly other than 1 nail. came in today for a fill, asking to keep the length & replace the one nail. now i have my left hand w nails all even & as long as i wanted. sadly my right hand got shorter & shorter as he filed, even though i said over & over theyre not the same & now they're totally uneven. would not recommend if you like longer, even sets, & theyll get defensive, insisting theyre right if you try to point out that theyre uneven. will not be coming back. read more

I went here after searching yelp to have my bully full set fixed I had got done at "Bella Nails" in Pittsburg! They fixed them and gave me natural color polish look i asked for at other salon. I also got gel pedicure that was amazing! My suggestion is make an appointment however everyone very nice and does great work!!! I will return! read more

I give one star for the quality of the work.. And another star because i didnt have to wait long before the man started working on my nails. Other than that the customer service was horrible. The guy didnt even say hi... Worked on my nails without saying a word and the couple times he spoke he was super rude. I tried to not say anything because he was actually doing a good job but i noticed one of my nails was cracked after the spray paint and when i lifted my hand to see he literally yelled and said " dont touch!!" I showed him and he said " i dont care dont touch!!" At this point i am like omg is he reallly serious right now with that tone of voice? I made myself heard in the most polite way possible and told him he did not have to speak to me the way he did.. He went on to say he was not rude and that he did not say i dont care. To make a long story short i almost got up and walked out. He never once apologized. I dont know if he is the owner or not.. But if he is.. He needs to sincerely take care of his guest and be polite!! How hard is that? You are dealing with people!! Smile! Talk!!! I was very uncomfortable and he was a little rough. It is too bad that his service was terrible because i live so close and he actually did a good job. i decided to try this nail salon since i was in the area and i was in need of getting my refill & pedi. i made an appointment for what i needed and as i came in, i was told i couldnt get my pedicure because they ended up being busy. i was confused because after all, i made an appointment. i brushed it off and decided i'll do my pedicure myself (i usually do anyway) and just get my refill. i specifically told the lady i wanted a coffin shape, but i didnt want it narrow. i even showed a photo of how i usually get mine done just to be sure she knows exactly how i wanted it. she seemed so unfocused and basically rushing on my nails so i could get out of there. she ended up doing my nails the total opposite of how i wanted them ‍ + it was uneven, super thick, and horrible paint job!!!! im never getting my nails done here again. i was disappointed and i've seen nothing but good reviews on this salon. read more
