Just awful. Bad time management- I blocked off my evening to get a facial and didn't even get my treatment because she "ran out of time" before her next appointment. I specifically requested a consult and a facial so I could speak to somebody about the specific issues I'm having with my skin. The consult felt rushed, she didn't know the prices, and she spent part of the time trying to sell my some 6-month membership...then ran out of time for the actual service!! I was introduced to this place because of Groupon. Yesterday was my first time getting the IPL facial. The procedure was really quick, I think mine lasted for 12 minutes. Donnalyn did a great job for making me comfortable during the procedure. She spends the time to go over each procedure with you. She is very knowledgeable, professional and caring. Also, The space is super clean and relaxing. The only reason I'm giving 4 star, during checkout, I was interested with other service/treatment and skin products they could offer. I was the one who needs to ask first about it, they did gave me brief explanation and gave me different kind of brochures and asked me to look it up and read about it. I went to BodyBrite after I found a Groupon for two IPL treatments. I have persistent redness on my cheeks and i've always wanted to have an IPL treatment, but I never got around to it because the procedure is usually so costly. I came in for my consultation with Christina and she provided me with information about the IPL as well as my rosacea. She answered all my questions and made the whole process so simple that I wasn't worried when I came in for the actual procedure. The treatment was not as painful as I had imagined and the results were amazing! I could actually notice a reduction in the redness on my cheeks after only two treatments and I plan to go back for more to get rid of the rest. There is an option to purchase a package of IPL treatments, so even without the Groupon discount the price is still reasonable. The waiting room is very clean and has a modern aesthetic. The receptionist was very friendly and I enjoyed chatting with her as I waited for my consultation. Brandon, the owner, even came out to talk to me and he made me feel right at home. I tried it the first time at the advice of a friend and of my dermatologist's PA and went to BodyBrite because of a Groupon. Well now that I know more, I can tell you, their regular prices are less than most places' Groupon prices. Taylor seems very knowledgeable; Brandon is always pleasant; and the facials have helped my skin so much by eliminating "age spots" and stimulating collagen production which has smoothed lines and wrinkles. The facility is very clean and decorated in a sparse modern style. I intend to get many more treatments at BodyBrite to treat the age spots on my arms, hands and chest as well. BodyBrite is definitely Austin's best kept secret when it comes to hair removal and skin rejuvenation. I discovered one of their Groupon deals for IPL hair removal ($99 for 6 sessions) and decided to try them out. A couple years ago, I had laser hair removal done on my underarms. I was only able to do 2 sessions before I had to move out of state, so my hair grew back, just much thinner than it was before. The actual hair removal process was decently painful. Numbing cream didn't help, and the technician has to actually laser each individual hair follicle, which gets painful and somewhat time-consuming. Overall, I was satisfied with it. Only 2 sessions left me with about 30% less hair. Fast forward to BodyBrite. I thought this would be pretty much the same, requiring numerous sessions and quite a bit of money, but it has been a COMPLETELY different experience for me. Like other women have described, the sensation is just like snapping a rubber band onto your skin. It stings for an instant and then dissipates. Allison is phenomenal. She reminds you when to breathe (which actually makes a world of difference), tells you which areas will be more sensitive than others, and tells you how to handle any issues you might encounter after you leave. After ONE session, I literally had no hair. I did my underarms and a brazilian, and maybe 4 hairs grew back after 4 weeks. After my 2nd session, we decided to push my sessions out to 8 weeks to give my hair a chance to grow. It's been 6 weeks since my 2nd treatment, and I have shaved once (yesterday because I felt like it). When I do try to shave my underarms now, I have to look VERY closely for hairs because there just aren't many left. Needless to say, I'm ecstatic. Brandon and Allison are so wonderful that I will have to keep coming back for other treatments just so I can see them. This place is SO AFFORDABLE it's insane. I'm torn between spreading the word and keeping them a secret ;) You can also like them on Facebook for great deals on special services. I came in to get laser hair removal at a more friendly price after doing my first treatment (bikini) elsewhere and having terrific results. Staff is friendly, the pricing is amazing, and to be fair the lasers do work since my hair was completely removed in places. my issue is that the technician wasn't thorough so I have patchy hair growth after treatment vs. My first experience which was no hair growth between treatments. So I have some areas where noticeably thinner hair is growing back, some where none is growing back and some lines of thick hair regrowth where the laser didn't overlap the last pulse... I can't tell if it worked at all on my lower legs since everything seemed to grow there just fine after treatment. read more

There needs to be a Body Brite like this one in every city - really. Laini is awesome - I have done 6 treatments with her for brazilian and underarm hair removal and I am so happy with the results. I have tried other hair removal methods - waxing, sugaring, and other types of laser...no good. Those methods hurt - you get used to it, but it still hurts a good deal and leaves me aching afterward. The IPL treatments are really quick and easy. You can still feel a slight snapping sensation, but it's over so quickly without any lingering pain and it is definitely way better than any other hair removal method I've tried. I would describe this as more of a quick snap / very slight discomfort...not actual pain. Perhaps a 2 out of 5 as compared to other lasers that can be a 4 out of 5. If you have been through the other types of treatments, this will be a breeze! Underarms alone takes seriously 2 minutes. These guys are amazing. I used to see Lani every month or so for the IPL skin rejuvenation - words cannot describe how much I love her or how comfortable she made me, which, I have uber sensitive skin and having anything done to it makes me nervous. She was a pro each time and actually improved my fickle olive dry/oily skin combo that has been plagued with acne since the age of 8 (yes really). Today I had my teeth whitened with Allison(?). I feel terrible if that's not her name but she was fabulous and very professional as well, and my teeth got 4 shades whiter! I'm seeing remarkable improvement after just one visit, and like my skin, my teeth are sooo sensitive when it comes to any kind of whitening products. I love getting my hair removal done here. They are such nice and friendly people! They make you feel so at home, love it. Also, the results are fabulous! Even though you see results maybe after the first or second time, you do have to go back though to make them permanent, but I think that's part of the normal process. Overall, I recommend them. I have a few spots of sun damage on my face, the result of a couple of serious sunburns growing up, that I'd rather not have. A friend recommended IPL at Body Brite so I bought a Groupon to give it a try. They were super accommodating to get me in and everyone was really friendly - not always the case when you're paying with a coupon. The facilities were clean and inviting. Brandon was a doll and reminded me of every appointment. Lani was just as warm and fun to be around. It felt like I was getting something done at a friend's house. The reason I knocked one star off was a reflection of the results from the treatment, not at all a reflection of Body Brite. Two treatments were not enough to fade any spots or freckles on my fair skin so I kind of felt like I wasted my money and put myself through a sometimes painful second treatment for nothing. In fact, a few of my freckles are now darker than they were before I started. Boo. Not Body Brite's fault at all. I should have had a few more treatments to actually see results but after the second treatment brought uncontrollable tears to my eyes (no, I'm not a wuss), I wasn't interested in going through that ever again. read more

I'm new to the Austin area and met the owner randomly. First off, he was incredibly passionate about what they are able to offer people. More so than any traditional spa.
