    I had an appointment with Simple Radiance Medspa at 11am and I showed up 10min early and there was no one to be found. All lights were off, the door to get in was open but all it opened to was a small hallway and the other door was locked so I was stuck in a dark hallway... I tried to call and no one answered. I called again 15 minutes after my appointment and let them know that I would be leaving because it seemed like they were closed and I felt really uncomfortable being in a dark hallway all by myself... I found this to be so incredibly unprofessional. I drove 30 minutes for nothing today and 30 minutes back all to wait in a dark hallway for 25 minutes... I felt like I was being pranked... oh and to top it off... to actually make this appointment my boyfriend had to call 7 times to finally get ahold of someone to make an appointment. I feel like this business is a scam and it's not actually functional. This was a COMPLETE waste of my time... first time in three years I finally was going to treat myself to a facial and this happens. I'm very disappointed to say the least. This is the first time I've actually felt strongly enough to actually write a negative review about a business but it needed to be said.. hopefully I can help someone else avoid wasting their whole Friday morning. Is there a way to rate 0 stars as opposed to 1...?

I appreciate how the esthetician was super helpful and not pushy at all compared to several of the other facial places I've been before who've been super product pushy and judgemental towards my skin which ruined past visits. Good experience overall. They are better than most. I enjoy going in, except that I have to drive 20 minutes to get there : ) The process for getting results from labs, explaining what the lab is, how to interpret the results could be re-engineered. You basically have to set another appointment to understand the results and even what the labs were for. And drive 20 min there and take off work : ) A simple phone call with a doctor would be better. Other than its wonderful. : )

It can be embarrassing pointing out all your skin blemishes but he just casually explains what they are and takes care of them quickly in the office. I scheduled an appointment for my son over 1 month in advance with US Dermatology's scheduling service. We showed up for the appointment time/date only to be told by the front office staff that we needed a referral for the appointment. The person said I could reschedule or keep the appointment and pay out of pocket. Since it was US Dermatology's error, I asked her to call my son's pediatrician and get the new referral. She said their policy is for the client to get the referral (had I known I needed a new referral I would have gotten it when the appointment was scheduled {which the scheduling service should have told me to}). Then, she said that the call to the pediatrician would be outside the 15 minute appointment window thus it would not be possible to see Lindsay today anyway (we've never had an on-time appointment (within 15 minutes of the scheduled appointment anyway) with a US Dermatology clinician. Surely, they have a policy about being mindful of their client's time. ;-) Poor customer service cost US Dermatology 5 patients, as my family will be moving on to another dermatology practice. What a shame, I really like Lindsay Reck.

    Warning: Missing Shipment and Frustrating Customer Service…read more I've been a customer of The Medspa Austin since June of last year and have spent a total of $3,834 with them. Up until recently, I never had any issues when receiving my Trezepited shots in person. Nurse Practitioner Ashley Johnson and Dr. Paydon Newman both provided excellent care and really helped me achieve my goals--this review does not reflect on them at all. However, after switching to semiglutide, the first shipment arrived without a problem, but the second one never showed up. The UPS delivery photo was just a black screen, even though I was home all day. I filed a missing package claim with UPS and also contacted The Medspa Austin and the fulfillment company in Dallas. Everyone was polite and tried to help, but ultimately referred me back to The Medspa Austin because they needed to complete a form UPS had provided. Despite my efforts, The Medspa Austin would not replace the missing shipment, citing the "delivered" tracking information, and asked me to pay an additional $200 for a new shipment. I wasn't asking for a discount or a refund--I just wanted the shipment I had already paid for. This has been extremely frustrating, especially given the amount of money I've already spent and my previously positive experiences with their team. Until this missing shipment issue is resolved, I cannot recommend The Medspa Austin. However, I do want to emphasize that my negative experience does not reflect on Ashley Johnson or Dr. Paydon Newman, who both provided wonderful care.
