I walked in and I started picking up pieces right by the door. This lady asks me if I have a membership. Yes I do. She automatically gets her device and pulls my information up. Strange, but ok, whatever.
As I start to gather items, I notice she is literally following me and asking me if I want her to take my items back to the fitting room. Ma'am, I have two items. Let me keep looking! Pick up more items. She's right back there asking to start a fitting room. Meanwhile, she's pretending to work and tidy up while I'm looking around. As soon as I pick something up, there she was offering to take my items back to the FR.
Take this stuff and get out my face girl because now I'm bothered. She literally thought I was going to walk out with it. And if she didn't think that, it definitely made me feel like it!
Asked the black lady, who said she was the asst manager, if that's their policy for her to keep following me and taking everything I pick up to the FR. She says, "no, it's just some people don't get talked to and they make a big deal out of it! Well, she's all over me and she took my information as soon as I came in the door. She defended her and said they do that so that they can start the fitting room. What a coverup.
I've been to Fabletics stores before. Ideally Overland Park, Ks. They have never did that. Ever. That's a FIRST that has happened. Uncomfortable.
A white couple walks in, then a white lady by herself. They say hello to them and let them shop in peace. No pestering, no hounding, no pulling their info up in their system.
Meanwhile, I have this lady hassling me.
As I made my purchase, I'm walking towards the door and stop to look at more merch, the asst manger comes over to me check on me. What do you want girl, I haven't asked for help or nothing. I was by the door again at this point. Still browsing.
Yet, none of the other people have gotten any information from the white people as they shopped!
I won't be back! I felt like a criminal shopping there. And the manager took up for her staff! read more
