He is personable, thorough, and clearly invested in creating the best possible shopping experience for customers. One manager frequently refers to customers as "friend." While I understand the intent may be to sound welcoming, I found the term disingenuous given my experience with this individual. Rather than feeling valued, I often felt marginalized during our interactions. Although I experienced a few unpleasant interactions with certain associates, including a former assistant manager and back room bullies, my more recent visits have been much more positive. It would also feel more inclusive if hiring at this store were more diverse to reflect a more balanced demographic. The store can become extremely busy during sales events. Unfortunately, this is a high crime area. I have witnessed instances of brazen shoplifting, including women loading baskets and running out the door with large quantities of merchandise. I hope the store's security systems and surveillance efforts help deter this behavior and catch these criminals.

I was so pleased to see it was open, I knew it was set to open this summer. I love the bright interior. The store is well laid out with very friendly and helpful staff. They carry misses and petite sizes in the store but if you want women's sizes (1X - 4X), they can order it for you and you get free shipping. Today when I went in, I was helped by the store manager, Kismari. She is very knowledgeable and knows her products. She acted as my personal shopper as we wandered around the store picking out items. She really listened to what I wanted and was able to pick items that suit my tastes. I've shopped online with J Jill for many years and know the fabrics and love the clothes, but to have that extra touch of having someone walk the store with me was great. Kismari sat down and checked on size and color for all my items that needed to be ordered since women's sizes are all ordered and then delivered to your house. She also explained all the promotions to me so I could save as much as possible. She took the time to find out that I'm a teacher which means discount! Teachers receive an extra 15% off of all regularly priced items. She also told me about opening a credit card with J Jill. I really really didn't want to open a credit card, but as a frequent J Jill shopper, the perks just couldn't be ignored! I'm so excited about all my items coming in the mail. I wasn't familiar with the J Jill brand so I looked around to see if anything caught my eye. While the styles are not exactly me, I did see a couple of items I liked so I inquired about tall lengths. I was informed that they do not carry tall length in store or other. The sales lady also informed me that sizing is generous for this brand and the size small may be a little roomy on me as well as short. I appreciated her giving me this truthful information rather than just trying to make a sale. The clothing I looked at was quality clothing and pricing was reasonable. The kind attitude and helpfulness of the sales lady as well as the store itself deserve an A-OK. I'd be willing to come back again and browse. It's possible they could start stocking tall lengths and adjust sizing in the future and I could find something.
