I had a very disappointing experience at Zumiez on 6/13 around 6:05 PM. We waited approximately…read more30-45 minutes for assistance while several employees, including the cashier, were having personal conversations about their weekend and other non-work-related topics instead of assisting customers. While trying to pick up my online order, the employee assisting me allowed another employee to take over the same computer so they could process an employee discount for a friend. My transaction was interrupted, my order was passed between employees, and at one point they could not locate my online order. After being patient for quite some time, I finally expressed my frustration and explained that I felt ignored and discriminated against based on the way I was being treated. Unfortunately, when I brought my concerns to the manager, Ashley, I did not feel they were taken seriously. She appeared to dismiss my complaint and returned to laughing and having personal conversations with the staff. As a customer, I felt completely ignored, disrespected, and as though my time did not matter. I understand stores can get busy, but basic acknowledgment, professionalism, and respect should still be expected. I'm sharing this review because I hope management takes this seriously and improves the customer service and professionalism at this location ,please review the camera footage . No customer should have to wait that long while watching employees socialize and feel as though their concerns are being laughed off or dismissed.

She then told him he could try a 2X (their smallest size according to her), but repeated that "it's not going to look good on you." At that point, my husband turned around and left. The entire interaction was extremely rude, dismissive, and unnecessary. We came into the store ready to purchase a suit, and instead of receiving assistance, my husband was repeatedly told that nothing would fit him or look good on him before he was even given the opportunity to try anything on. Regardless of whether an employee believes a particular size or style will work, there is a respectful and professional way to assist a customer. Making someone feel unwelcome or uncomfortable about their body or size is not it.!We left without purchasing anything and will gladly take our business somewhere else.

Once she had a solid line up for me I started trying them all on. Her and Chelsea came over a few times to check on my progress to see if I wanted any different colors or sizes in what was picked out for me. One of them also mentioned that with the pair I end up picking I get a free hem to help get the length just right for me! I was instantly sold on the curvy flare jeans once I knew I could get them hemmed for my short legs. Once they pinned my pants to be ready for the hemming, I checked out and they let me know when they'd be ready for pick up. A few days later I got a call they were ready and when I went to pick them up I was greeted with a smile by Brianna again! Back in December I received a gift card. I bought one pair of pants with it and spent an additional $168 with my card with the intention of returning one of the items. At the time I was 6mo unemployed after a layoff. I'm also a single mother of 2. When I went to return my second item all they would offer me was another gift card. I emailed customer service and explained my dire situation and they still refused to refund me. A company that can't see beyond their policies to the customer behind them is not worth shopping. Save your money and shop elsewhere.
