The facials I have been receiving from Brooke Crane are nothing short of exquisite. The word facial doesn't even come close to describing my time with her. It is an EXPERIENCE. From the tuning forks to the soothing mantra and music floating through the air to the deep breathing, serene energy in the space, setting an intention, reiki energy, lymphatic attention, massage, essential oils, face masks, parasympathetic nervous system attention.....truly, the word experience is much more fitting than facial. This is so hard for me to share publicly but everyone needs to know the kind of person Sonya Gabaldon really is. Please DO NOT make the same mistake I did. Back in October I had faux freckles done in her establishment. They looked fine when I walked out however as the day went on my face became fiery red, swollen, and irritated beyond measures. I had giant welts all over my face with brown spots everywhere. That's when I knew something wasn't right. The following day it just kept getting worse and worse so I went to my PCP and was told I had an allergic reaction to the pigment. Her consent forms say that you will receive a patch test, which I never did. I reached out to her and instead of a sorry I get this message: "I just looked at your paperwork and double checked that there was nothing in the product that you are allergic to. When did you get them lasered off." No sorry, no understanding. It's like she put the blame on me. Talk about unprofessional. She began to ask me why didn't I reach out to her. And I mean seriously? Why would I contact the very person that just destroyed my face. I told her that I was sad an embarrassed and that is why I didn't want to send any pictures to her, or anyone for that matter. Again, never got a sorry or anything. Throughout this entire process I have been extremely nice and very polite. I didn't ask for any free services and I did not ask for her to fix the mistakes that were made. All I did was ask that my photos be removed from her page. I did not want to have my face promoting something that left my once perfect skin, covered in scars. Fast forward to today, I look at her account and my pictures are STILL there. I reach out again asking her very kindly to please remove my pictures. Which of course, she doesn't do. Instead I get a phone call from her saying my story doesn't add up, under her scanner there's "no signs of skin damage" and then she continued putting the blame on me for what happened. Keep in mind, I recorded this entire conversation. As the night goes on, she blocks me and my friend who contacted her on social media. She sends a message saying if I want my pictures removed I need to contact her. Have I not been doing that this entire time? If you value the way you look, I beg you please do not go to Sonya for anything. She does not care about you. There are plenty of other PMU artists in Arizona that actually care about you

Came here for a Deluxe Manicure and Pedicure. My mom bought me this as a Groupon for my birthday…read more The experience was the worst I've had at a nail salon. I booked my appointment online the night before during an available slot, and called in the morning right when they opened to confirm. The person on the phone asked if they could call me back to confirm if they could take me at that time so soon after they opened, and called back quickly with a yes. I was happy they could accommodate me. I got there and was told the person who would be doing my nails was heading in and would just be a bit late. I didn't mind at first as this gave me time to pick out my colors and soak my feet. The other woman checked in with me once or twice. 45 minutes in she said she'd help me herself if the other girl didn't show. She arrived an hour late in the end. I was upset but trying to be understanding as I know shit happens sometimes. And after all, I was getting a free Mani pedi (thanks, Mom!). I had been soaking my feet in hot water trying to mindlessly internet surf and ignore increasing frustration. Well, when I pulled my feet from the water they were red and itchy. Queue awkward questioning about why I didn't take my feet out while I was waiting. Didn't bother explaining that I was spacing out to ignore my anger at HER. They eventually calmed down after maybe 20 minutes, but I was really struggling to keep my composure at this point. We proceeded with the service, and the woman was nice enough about working around my skin's reaction. I figured we'd get back on track and all would be well. Unfortunately, the rest of the experience continued to not meet my expectations. To start, during my pedicure, I was asked to plant my foot flat on a block that was as tall as my seat. I was in a dress and felt like I was exposing my lady bits and was very uncomfortable. Normally I'm used to sitting elevated above where the person working on my feet, but for whatever reason this place and the lady working on me was not set up for this. By the end my toes were painted ok, but I left with the skin on my heels looking as sad and worn as when I walked in. Sharing a picture so you can see what I mean. Maybe the woman was trying to be overly sensitive in regard to my skin, but the next day I'm honestly feeling like I did not get a full pedicure because of the dead skin still on my heels. For my manicure, I picked a bright red. Things were going ok until the thumb when things got messy and she struggled to clean it up. After spending time on it, she eventually said that she would just leave it because after I got home and washed my hands it would come right off. Maybe this is a thing? She assured me that it was and I should trust her... But my skin tends to be really absorbent... So after a few minutes I complained and she obliged me by redoing it. The last thing I wanted after all of this was to walk out unhappy. At this point I'd been there for maybe 3 hours already, which I was also unhappy about. In the end, it was just too messy for me. I took it off as soon as I got home, while fighting back tears and venting to my husband. She hadn't even cleaned under my finger nails! While I do think the woman taking care of me definitely put in effort, and the business tried to accommodate me, I don't think they did a good job of it. I honestly felt like they scrambled to try to get me in and it all went south from there mostly due to the woman servicing me... I just wanted to feel pampered during a small break from taking care of my two year old. It's an emotional thing certainly, but hey! I imagine that's something you should expect running this kind of business. Three other women got serviced while I was there by the other woman working, and seemed satisfied and quick. That just wasn't my experience. So I'd say, if you're thinking about going to this place for the first time, you're taking a chance at what you're going to get. I will not be back.
