So I feel conflicted. This Beaubien branch of the young Quebec pizza franchise FF is on a nice sunny corner, casual and fairly good looking room for a lunch or dinner hang, affordable mixed drinks, and pizzas that are made at the open kitchen fresh to order. The owner seemed kind and hopeful and interested in providing good service, but a little bit uncomfortable maybe? When I asked him a question or two I received pretty clipped answers in reply, so I felt sort of uncomfortable asking more. The pizza was fresh and hot and fine. Just a little bland I guess. A wild mushroom pizza should have lots going for it, and it did have a nice amount of mushrooms, but the fundamentals of the pizza itself - the dough and sauce - were really lacking in flavour. I really wouldn't mind paying $12 for a personal pizza and drink at lunch if it was delicious, but this experience left me feeling underwhelmed.
If you are into hot sauce they have a huge collection, so that could be fun, maybe try it out if you're in the area and see if you have better vibes than me. read more
