FANTASTIC Pizza. FANTASTIC Caesar salad. FANTASTIC crème brûlée... and SPECTACULAR service (server was not only nice but super cute too). Thank you Pizzeria Dei Compari! Hope to come back soon :)

This is their paper menu doubling as a place mat. I initially got a French one. I suppose it's flattering - to be considered a "local!"

This place, Pizzeria dei Compari, is solid. I've eaten here before and didn't hesitate much in going back, unlike that other popular pizzeria north of here that's cash only and to which I won't be returning. Pizzeria dei Compari is quite close to a pizzeria you might find across the pond in the "old country." The variety is there, the ingredients seem to be of high quality, the crust is dialed in, and the pizzas are just plain tasty. It's a popular place and it might be crowded. And, like an authentic Italian pizzeria, it keeps late hours. Part of that could be that it's on St.-Denis in the Quartier Latin near the center, which is one restaurant or watering hole after another, most of which didn't seem too interesting to me. (I was actually looking for a slab of shepherd's pie from this Irish place - or any Irish place - but that might have required too much horsepower from the kitchen, given that they kept it pared down to bar food.) I instantly knew I should and would be returning to dei Compari. Servers do their best to be affable while busily attending to various tables. The prices are appropriate for what you get and it's really convenient that the amounts you see on the menu have all the socialistic taxes already rolled into them. This might be helpful for splitting the bill, calculating a tip, or if you don't like dealing with cents and odd numbers. Some people actually don't. I had a "quattro stagioni" pizza, which I tend to get more than half the time. I could figure out what most of the ingredients were except for "palourdes," not knowing that they have menus in other languages. These would be clams, or "vongole." I don't think I have seen seafood on a "quattro stagioni" pizza, even though it would only be on part of the pizza. This was accommodated by instead having more of another ingredient placed on the pizza. I don't think there's a shortage of good pizza restaurants in the Montreal area, but I can confidently recommend Pizzeria dei Compari and, moreover, it's convenient to almost all of Centre-Ville. It has earned its stripes as a reliable pizzeria, it has been around for quite a while, and, in my estimation, it's a strong 4 stars kind of place.

One of my favourite Pizza spots in Montreal. Lots of great options on the menu & the food hits the spot every time! Our favourites are the Quebecoise Pizza (Smoked Meat, Mushrooms, Olives, Green Peppers & Mozzarella) & Parisian Pizza (Tomato Sauce, Mushrooms & Mozzarella) We like to try one new item from the menu each time we order & it's all been great so far. I always recommend this spot to my friends & fam!

Best pizza place in downtown Montreal with lots of options. The stuffs are super friendly and attentive. The pizza is thin crust with tons of mozzarella for each variety. Even though they have all sorts of fancy pizzas my favorite is good old margaritas.

Wow, so this is a hidden gem that I rediscovered after about 10 years. In fact, I've had so many disappointments with tourist trappy restaurants on this block (not to mention many beggars) that I completely ignored the area. Like any time I go to an authentic Italian pizzeria, I ordered a simple margherita pizza. What I liked: - A delicious crust that's thin on the inside and chewy with just the right amount of crunch on the edge. Truly good. - The garlicy tomato sauce - The thick chewy layer of mozzarella that gave body and substance to the pizza - Despite the restaurant being super busy when I arrived (waited nearly 30 minutes to get my pizza), the quality and craftsmanship of the pizza was tops. - It's enough food for 2 people. I eat a lot and I was hungry and my favorite song is 21 Savage "a lot" and I thought it was a lot. - Quality/price. I was surprised when I got the bill, menu prices were tax included, which means this heck of a good pizza was $13 tax-in. One of the last few affordable luxuries if you ask me. What could have been improved: - more basil This place is so legit. This city is so legit.

I passed by the pizzeria several times and always there is a line. This time it was rainy so the terrace was closed. We waited about 15 mins on a weekday evening. The restaurant was packed the whole evening. We had two pizzas. They were both tasty but mine had anchovies which was too salty and unbearable for me. We will definitely come back for other options on the menu. The prices on the menu were tax included.

Fantastic consistent pizza. Decent price for a whole pie. Be forewarned: it is popular and hard to get a seat at reg hours esp. weekends!

I lived in Napoli Italy for a few years and this pizza is the closest to true Italian pizza. Best pizza in North America.

No. 900 on the edge of old Montreal (I think it is on McGill St) was such a treat! I got to know, in a very little way mostly, and more extensively in one case, all of the staff that run the front of house. Delightful, all of them! Kind of a graduate student crowd, very efficient, friendly, smart, and pleasant to talk to. I don't drink so I didn't try beverages. I was in town for the week so got to try several pizzas. The one that says it is spicy, is SPICY. I was at my limit but the delicious outweighed the spice and I did end up eating it all (in two sittings, not one!). I especially liked the milder italian sausage pizza and so wanted to try more of them.

Wish they would have told us it was going to be last call before we tried to order one more drink. The server told us that the bar closed ten minutes ago, and was very apologetic. So we ordered another pizza to go. We also had our last meal there. It was a little busy and they were short-staffed so they did not come around much and it took a long time to get our food that time. But it was worth it. Pizza is very good. So we're the meatballs.

I now have a pizza option that rivals the best of NY, New Haven, and all the rest! Pizza Bouquet is labeled as a hybrid of other styles (NY and New Haven) and they are spot on ... more leaning to the NY version. This is exceptional pizza created by an energetic and passionate staff. I have only been there once, but in that short visit it was obvious that the pizza reflects the people that work there ... creative, fun, unique, and welcoming. They sell several great pies and actually offer both slices and whole pies. I ordered a pepperoni and hot pepper pie but as I sat there I had to get a slice of their upside down pie. While they were both outstanding, I have to say, what I cannot stop thinking about was that upside down slice. That was freaking magical. I would eat it there through because of the complexity and nuances of the actual pizza. Do not let this one sit ... trust me. Overall, this is a destination pizza in my book ,,, welcome to the world of pizza relevance Pizza Bouquet ... you guys do it right. Easily foldable. Follow it up with just the right amount of quality ingredients are brought together in just the right proportions with quirky flair. Upside down pizza (cheese first, sauce on top) or stranger still, a double carb potato pizza. Speaking of, the potato pie is so good. All the ingredients from a potato mille feuille with a hit of fresh rosemary and grana padano atop the well made crust. Rich, creamy, nuff said. Equally good the mushroom with its "mushroom cream" (think a thin duxelles) base, rosemary to season and meaty creminis and motz to round it all out. Finally the sopressatta. I mean, come on, who doesn't love a cheese pie made even more complex with goat cheese, honey and grana padano? Sold by the slice or whole 18 inch pie. Inexpensive. Is it better than the NYC pie? No. But it's definitely not as boring either.
