Montreal now has world class pizza! After many years of coming here and being forced to eat…read morepoutine, smoked meat, great steaks, and Canadian interpretations on various cuisines ... I now have a pizza option that rivals the best of NY, New Haven, and all the rest! Pizza Bouquet is labeled as a hybrid of other styles (NY and New Haven) and they are spot on ... more leaning to the NY version. This is exceptional pizza created by an energetic and passionate staff. I have only been there once, but in that short visit it was obvious that the pizza reflects the people that work there ... creative, fun, unique, and welcoming. They sell several great pies and actually offer both slices and whole pies. I ordered a pepperoni and hot pepper pie but as I sat there I had to get a slice of their upside down pie. While they were both outstanding, I have to say, what I cannot stop thinking about was that upside down slice. That was freaking magical. I would eat it there through because of the complexity and nuances of the actual pizza. Do not let this one sit ... trust me. Overall, this is a destination pizza in my book ,,, welcome to the world of pizza relevance Pizza Bouquet ... you guys do it right. Special shout out to the lovely ladies that danced through the entire preparation of my pie. Loved everything about this place!

New Montreal style pizza…read more Considering I've not heard of or tried "old Montreal style pizza"; just sayin'. The crust, similar to the NYC pie. Thin, gently crisp, some chew and char. Easily foldable. Follow it up with just the right amount of quality ingredients are brought together in just the right proportions with quirky flair. Upside down pizza (cheese first, sauce on top) or stranger still, a double carb potato pizza. Speaking of, the potato pie is so good. All the ingredients from a potato mille feuille with a hit of fresh rosemary and grana padano atop the well made crust. Rich, creamy, nuff said. Equally good the mushroom with its "mushroom cream" (think a thin duxelles) base, rosemary to season and meaty creminis and motz to round it all out. Finally the sopressatta. I mean, come on, who doesn't love a cheese pie made even more complex with goat cheese, honey and grana padano? Sold by the slice or whole 18 inch pie. Inexpensive. Is it better than the NYC pie? No. But it's definitely not as boring either.

There was a good amount of cheese though and it was of high quality. The sauce was too salty for my liking This is the only pizza place in my area that is open late and the people who work there are super nice. The prices are pretty good and the fact that they deliver is appreciated. Maybe I'll try their pizza again. If I do, I'll ask for some more spice/seasoning.

The delivery took far too long, and when it arrived, I ate it quickly as I was famished. With each bite, I kept lamenting how subpar this pizza tasted. When you're hungry, your mind starts to play tricks on you. You think that maybe the next bite or next slice will taste better. No such luck. From the first bite to the last, the experience was downhill all the way. The medium pizza I ordered was clearly smaller than the standard 12 inches. The pizza dough had no taste whatsoever, was fairly thin, and didn't hold up to the toppings. The outside crust was completely dry and almost seemed stale!? There was plenty of cheese on it since I ordered extra cheese. Nevertheless, they left out the red peppers I had ordered and paid for. The pepperoni slices were very small and scarcely sprinkled. At least the food is inexpensive, but I would love to go back in time a few hours and order a pizza from B & M instead.

No. 900 on the edge of old Montreal (I think it is on McGill St) was such a treat! I got to know, in a very little way mostly, and more extensively in one case, all of the staff that run the front of house. Delightful, all of them! Kind of a graduate student crowd, very efficient, friendly, smart, and pleasant to talk to. I don't drink so I didn't try beverages. I was in town for the week so got to try several pizzas. The one that says it is spicy, is SPICY. I was at my limit but the delicious outweighed the spice and I did end up eating it all (in two sittings, not one!). I especially liked the milder italian sausage pizza and so wanted to try more of them.

Wish they would have told us it was going to be last call before we tried to order one more drink. The server told us that the bar closed ten minutes ago, and was very apologetic. So we ordered another pizza to go. We also had our last meal there. It was a little busy and they were short-staffed so they did not come around much and it took a long time to get our food that time. But it was worth it. Pizza is very good. So we're the meatballs.

Pizzeria Napoletana - This pizza required some customization: pepperoni, prosciutto (or similar), olives, and artichokes to resemble a Capricciosa; it was okay

Because of the positive exchange when I dropped by while in the neighborhood a year or two ago, I…read moredecided I would return. After all, Pizzeria Napoletana is one of the best known pizzerias in Little Italy, and in Montreal. I also learned that they accept credit cards, which is important for folks who are from out of town. I walked in and they were busy. After a short while, I was seated. There was a long table of about a dozen university-aged girls nearby and I was able to preview the service from that. My server was attending to them, checking in with them, and bringing them what they requested. He was also the same way with me, which was appreciated, so I can say that the service is now much better, or it was on this evening. There was a small amount of confusion. Pizzeria Napoletana puts their own names on their different pizzas. There's nothing wrong with that if that's what they want to do and many restaurants come up with their own names for dishes. However, for a handful of standard and popular pizzas in Italy and elsewhere, they should feature them with the same name and same ingredients. They do for the Margherita. However, I was hoping to find a "capricciosa" or a "quattro stagioni" like the ones I've eaten for years. I couldn't, so the server got me to the pizza closest to a "capricciosa" after telling him what they usually contain and we added an ingredient for a small upcharge. The pizza was definitely fine, but not memorable like I was expecting it to be. I think it had to do with the edges and interior of the crust, with the edge being a little crustier and the interior tearing apart too easily. If you've had the local pizza from a wood-fired oven in Naples or Campania, it generally is memorable. The prices seemed reasonable, less so with additions, and in the ball park for what is now a more and more sought after Little Italy. I am glad they now take credit cards because, if they didn't, I wouldn't have gone in. I avoid businesses that don't take plastic when traveling. Also, they are definitely authentic, dating back to something like 1948. If asked in English, they would not say "Naa-boo-lee-dahn," which is what a Jersey Shore Italian-American might say because they are too diluted and disconnected. Even if it's Gino the Canadian, he'll say Neapolitan in Italian closer to how it should be pronounced, even if in the regional dialect. Pizzeria Napoletana is fine. It's that I've still got a favorite pizzeria in the Montreal area. For most other people, this pizzeria would be a 4. It may be that I'm pickier when it comes to a type of food I grew up with.
