Espresso martini was exceptional and just what I needed for my birthday!
Jessica S.

Our service was speedy, food was warm. The burger I didn't get a photo of but it looked juicy and loaded. The atmosphere was perfect for a private birthday celebration.

Cool little pub. Great prices for everything. I got the Cuban and it was better than I expected in a small town in AL, and their pineapple walnut salad I got on a whim was interesting in a good way. The only thing that I could critique is that there was only one person cooking, so if it gets busier it might take a little bit longer to get your food.

Nice little spot to grab a sandwich/salad and a pint in a dry county! Very impressed.

Roasted veggie panini with loaded potato salad
Debi A.

Atmosphere was really cool. We were there a little before the dinner crowd. Service was good. He knew the menu well and made great recommendations. I had the roasted veggie panini with loaded potato salad. The veggies were off the charts. Next time I'd request it be done on the pumpernickel rye. The margarita was very good. Looking forward to going back when there is some live music.

The pork chops and country fried steak were also big hits. The corn bread was not exceptional but still very good. Not everything stood out as great but certainly nothing we had stood out as bad. It was all a decent value as well. We had a couple folks in our party who are very thrifty, always looking for a deal, and vocal when they don't feel like they are getting a value. This time there were no complaints. Great place.

I ate dinner here with a friend yesterday. The food tasted great but sadly the Curious Pig messed…read moreup just about everything else that goes into one's dining experience. It's always sad to me when this happens, because in my opinion having great food is the hard part. Seeing them excel in that but fail the easy stuff is hard :( What they struck out on: - host and hostess chatting when we walked up, they seemed to be complaining about something. We didn't receive any smiles. Didn't feel like they wanted to be there. Yes I understand it's a job, but warm welcomes are important and they are the first impression for a customer when they walk in. - It was 80 degrees and dreadfully humid outside since it had been raining. They had the doors open and I didn't see or feel any fans or air conditioning running. I saw a patron using a hand fan while we ate. - Since there was no air conditioning running, all the steam from the dishwashing and cooking in the kitchen came out to the dining area and lingered in the air the entire time we ate. We thought it was smoke at first but it didn't have a smell, when we walked out to leave I felt the steam leaving the kitchen area - Unbearably loud. I'm not sure why the acoustics are so bad but there is just nothing absorbing any noise. All the ruckus just echoes. Pretty sure this was mainly due to the tables being somewhat close together and the chairs having no sound buffers. It was suuuper loud when people got up to leave and when bussers were cleaning the tables. - Out of the fried green tomatoes which we were excited to order. - I ran out of water while eating. My drink didn't get filled until maybe 10-15 mins later. - Our waitress was running around, very busy. We didn't get checked on that much. It wasn't her fault. She was very courteous and was working hard. They seemed to not have enough staff on hand. - The napkins shed everywhere? When I opened my napkin a cloud of lint came up from it. It was all over my black shorts when we left. - Ends of the tables were all scratched up. - Decor is a bit of a hodgepodge. Having fake candles at each table for a place that gives southern farmhouse is an interesting choice. - The pimento cheese plate came with only 5 mini pieces of toast. We had to ask for more which was an upcharge. There's no way all the pimento cheese could be eaten on 5 pieces. Their home runs: - The food was amazing. I really liked the steak frites. I ordered the steak medium. It was nice and tender. The fries were seasoned and crispy. The chimichurri sauce was great. My friend and I both liked the pimento cheese and the bread that it came with. We weren't crazy about the house pickles. My friend loved her caesar salad. - The prices are great. Super affordable for high quality food. - Menu is expansive. - We had no wait to be seated. - No trouble parking. Location is convenient. As you can see, the list of cons is very very long. It was truly an odd thing to experience, since the place had such great food. I'm thinking the Curious Pig needs a restaurant management consultant or something? We might try this place again sometime later. We'll see.

They have long community tables as well as the most cozy tucked away booth for a group as well as rooftop seating. This is really great space for groups or even just you and a friend. Or, even if you want to go grab a bite and a beer after work there's a long bar you can sit at, too. The vibe is very laid-back, but also trendy which I love and the food is phenomenal. Last night I got the double burger and the bun was perfectly buttered and toasted, and the two patties with the cheese was super juicy. It does have a black pepper aïoli on it, which the pepper flavoring is definitely prominent, but it was still very good. I really love the fact that they do Fresh house cut french fries. It's really about the details! They are very known for their corn dog, just trust me, it's super fun. But everything I've ordered is always very good, they used to have the best lamb burger in town and I still dream about it! I also really appreciate that they have an extensive list of drink options from homemade unique cocktails to beer to wine and nonalcoholic beers and mocktails. There is something for everyone. They also have a lot of specials during the week as well as other activities like trivia on Wednesday nights. Their location will be moving in the beginning of 2025 but go check this place out!

Hunter recommended adding Pepper Jack cheese and Bacon, as well as the Brussels Sprouts with Maple & Bacon. Everything was wonderful. There were way too many Brussels sprouts. It also would have been nice if they were cut into smaller pieces. They had a special dessert of Blackberry Cobbler with Vanilla Ice Cream. The beets were fresh and the goat cheese carried so much flavor. For the desserts, we got the carrot cake with pecans and chocolate cheesecake. Both were soooo good. I would get both of them again, especially the carrot cake which was so warm and moist. And the candied pecans were such a nice complement to the cake - not too sweet at all.
