We came in on Saturday during lunch and didn't have to wait for a table, we were greeted right away and everyone was very friendly. Just ate at F.C. Weiss Pub and Eatery for their brunch and it was delicious! BS Bowl was fantastic and my husband loved the Avocado Toast! Will definitely be back for Sunday brunch menu! Cool little pub. Great prices for everything. I got the Cuban and it was better than I expected in a small town in AL, and their pineapple walnut salad I got on a whim was interesting in a good way. The only thing that I could critique is that there was only one person cooking, so if it gets busier it might take a little bit longer to get your food. read more

No butter/nothing on outside so wasn't grilled but just toasted on panini grill. I got PB frozen pie (so-so) & grandson ordered a choc-chip cookie; no cookie came but 2 pcs pie...? Female server seemed preoccupied whole time (or not thrilled w job?) regardless grson stating again what he had ordered. We just moved back to Alabama and we were venturing into town for some supplies and we saw this quaint little pub downtown so we decided to venture in. Immediately as we walked in I noticed the tables were not bussed and there was only one waitress/server/bartended in the whole place. She was needless to say not happy.. never saw a smile. She did not have a beer menu nor did she know the beers on tap. We just ended up having to guess. We decided to order food and we did the Turkey panini and pretzel and beer cheese and a bowl of Brunswick stew. It was 11:30 on Saturday and they were out of Brunswick stew. They do not have a kids menu so, I would venture to say.. not kid friendly. The food was ok.. not sure we will go back. read more

Atmosphere was really cool. We were there a little before the dinner crowd. Service was good. He knew the menu well and made great recommendations. I had the roasted veggie panini with loaded potato salad. The veggies were off the charts. Next time I'd request it be done on the pumpernickel rye. The margarita was very good. Definitely just a little hole in the wall pub. The atmosphere was okay; however, the crowd seemed "stuck up" as if they were better than you. The sandwiches were overall okay, BUT the chicken salad was absolutely terrible. By far the worst chicken salad I've ever had in my entire life. Highly recommend a different side item. read more

I came here with a group of friends as I was leaving Alabama. As soon as I entered I was little confused if we needed to seat ourselves or they would seat us, but nonetheless we sat down. Our waitress immediately came over and proceeded with giving us the menus and getting food for us. The food was quite surprisingly good and service was excellent. The owner Shawn stepped over to our table and greeted us and we had a great conversation. I was very pleased how everything was here and they had a live music going which was pretty good. I truly hate to write this review. FC Weiss Pub has been a favorite of ours for several years, but something has changed. The atmosphere was still impressive, and the service was good. The food, however, was not what it used to be, at least in our opinion. Just yesterday (Dec 16, 2023) it was almost inedible. French Dip sandwich was short of beef (compared to our previous visits), and tough. The Lobster Bisque was basically lobster colored hot water, bland and tasteless. The dill pickles were so tough you could hardly bite through them. The best part of my meal was the small bag of over-the-counter chips. The potato salad was even diminished. I'll go no further than this, but there was more. The server was excellent, but whatever has happened in the kitchen, at least yesterday, was a shame. Hopefully it was just a bad night. Maybe we'll give it another try. We really, really liked this place. read more

Had lunch here for the first time. Restaurant is very clean and has a nice atmosphere. Service is ok, oy had one waitress and she was literally running a couple of times to try and keep up. I ordered the Bacon Barbeque Burger on lettuce due to gluten sensitivity. Cost was $9 for a pre frozen and most likely microwaved patty with cold bacon. When I say cold I mean just came out of the fridge cold. Burger texture was a little strange probably from processing. I definitely would not recommend the burger. We ate here last Sat. It is decorated nicely and offers a relaxing atmosphere. We were all quite pleased with how good our food was! The pricing I thought was reasonable as well. Did not even have my daughter out of her seat before there taking our table to merge with another table... of locals. Food was not great edible but not great. The best thing was the bag of chips that came with our dinner. Burger and fried pickles were awful. Burger was not even remotely fresh. We will not be back... not even to have a beer. So sad.
