Pool tables, dart boards, corn hole, a full bar, and TVs everywhere! They put a lot of work and money into this place and it shows! There's even outdoor seating with corn hoke outside for those warm summer nights! The owners, Annette and Josh are very friendly and inviting. I had the smash burgers and they do not disappoint! The service is fast and friendly and I will definitely have to come back and try out some more of the menu. The food is hot and very good! If you're looking to just sit and have a drink after work this place is perfect for it! The owners have assured me that more is being added to the menu real soon and I'm sure I will keep on coming back! Thank you Annette and Josh for your hospitality and this awesome addition to Southside Alabama!

And for one of the very rare times, I wish I could add a sixth star to this place. I think my bartender was Erica, nice older woman. At least that's what it was on my ticket. Top notch hospitality. Place was super clean, they had sports playing on one TV, and had enlightening music playing on the other. This is the way all of America should be. I'm on my no carb kick, so I ordered two grilled pork chops with a side of their signature Brussels, and turnip greens. Hold on for a second, I just got done eating about a half an hour ago, and I just had to wipe the saliva off of my mouth while writing this. First of all, my entire meal was under $18. How these Alabama restaurants give you insane portion sizes, and still make a profit is beyond me. The rest of these restaurants in the country need to take note. My plate was huge, and even though it was my only meal of the day, I was still able to take a portion of my second pork chop back to the truck to enjoy tomorrow with my breakfast. The bartender told me that they hired her son as a cook. If this kid keeps slinging these skillets the way that he is, No doubt he will end up being legendary. My brussel sprouts were super good, my turnip greens were OFF.THE.CHAIN. I make collards at home, and this is the very first time I've actually had greens better than my own. I'm actually considering going in there and buying a quart to have on the truck with me. My pork chops? mannnn, If you know me, you know I cook, and these pork chops were nothing short of amazing. Crisp and crunchy on the outside, super super juicy on the inside, seasoned to perfection. This is the food that dreams are made of ladies and gentlemen. I wasn't going to have supper here tonight, because I still have leftovers from last night, but this is the south. If you have a little bit of intuition, you got to go all in, and then thank yourself later. One of the best meals literally that I've had, since early May. I hope this place keeps cranking out the caliber service and food they have, and I certainly hope I'm back in this part of Bama, Because I will definitely be returning. Five stars, just isn't enough. ***DISCLAIMER*** This pure, uncut, honest review is federally protected under Federal Law by way of Bill #EO14149. The steak was no where near 16 oz. You can get the same steak at Waffle House... seriously. It tasted a bit off, I only ate about a quarter of it. Super greasy. The baked potato was not fully cooked and chunky hard. BUT... the black eyed peas were great after I added salt, pepper, and vinegar to them. Maybe my expectations were too high on the food... maybe other items in the menu are better. This place gets an "eh"

The website and the menu show $7 frozen drinks on Thursday's. I haven't been in years before my recent visit so I went based on posted info and ordered 2 frozen drinks after asking the waitress if they were in fact $7. She acknowledged they were. Get the receipt and they both show as $9.99. The issue was that when we politely asked why the manager just dismissed us and said they don't do it anymore even though we confirmed it three different times based on their ad and waitress knowledge. No they did not change the price or discount it. So we just paid, left, and won't be going back. It's the principle. Yall enjoy the mid food and dishonest customer service.

Because a packed restaurant has to be doing something right. Homestyle Eatery is a welcome addition to the Jacksonville food scene, which was in sore need of a meat and three. Located in the old Heirloom Taco location, it's quaint, cozy, and staffed by the most delightful ladies. I think one of my favorite memories of eating here was the night that a couple and their baby came in while we were eating. They were clearly regulars, and when the baby got fussy, the ladies came over and took turns entertaining him so his parents could eat while the food was hot. That's the level of service we've come to expect at this place. The food is fantastic. The collard greens are some of the best I've eaten anywhere, and their desserts are to die for. Pro tip: they do run out of desserts, so if you hear about one that you want when you first sit down, order it ahead of time to make sure you get some. I always do this for their banana pudding, which is scrumptious. Another clue that the food is terrific: the okra is hand battered and fried. No frozen okra that every other place has. This is the real thing.
