Food is always great. The service was better this time than ever I think. They were moving things around for Bingo. Looked like it would be a good time for those interested. read more

We got the wings and loaded up tater. The wings were cooked great and good size, we got xxhot, sweet and sassy, garlic parm, and honey bbq. They were good except the xxhot tasted like basic Texas pete. Baked potato was huge and fed 2 people. The waitress was great and friendly but all the waitresses couldn't stay off their phones, had to get up and go ask when we needed something. read more

Sugar added to foods. The slaw is known for it's odd taste, the waitresses will tell you it's the Sugar. Yes, it is & something off. Tried the greens, 1 bite was enough, full of sugar yet added hot pepper. Let the food taste like it's meant. Place was clean & attractive, service friendly and prompt. read more

Love this place! Great hangout and food is really good. Live music and great chicken and burgers what could be better. Last time we went they were closed for remodeling I think during the holiday months but check the website and see read more

The food is amazing but you need to go back to the cheese sticks you use to have. They were the best and now for $10 you get 3 pre battered XL cheese sticks and they aren't good at all. I don't know why you would change it all other than to cheat the customers. I use to go just for the cheese sticks and now I don't even want to go anymore read more

We were visiting from out of town. Place was packed. The hostess was so sweet and gave great recommendations for our group of 8. We had great service and the waitress was very attentive. The potatoes are huge and the smoked meat in everything was delicious. Would recommend. read more

Excellent food, excellent service, great atmosphere. I had the smoked chicken plate, which was tasty & my wife had the Boss Hog Tater, which she really enjoyed. Good portions & well-prepared. Savannah took GREAT care of our large family reunion with Uncle Bobby & his side of the family. read more

Under new management and the food is greatly improved. Great food and excellent service.

In the Cedar Bluff AL area, I was pleasantly surprised after discovering this place. A huge sports bar with friendly and efficient staff. The service was great, food excellent. Had the wings and burger and both were above average on what you would normally expect from a sports bar. They had tons of TV's but they didn't work well. Hopefully they will get that straightened out before football season begins. Kaitlin was our server and made us feel special. Enjoy read more

After an absolutely horrible experience at another restaurant across town, we found the folks at the Gridiron to be very friendly and welcoming. We had all driven for hours and met from out of town to eat with our family in Centre. The food was amazing, and we had a great time. I highly recommend the chicken in the garden, which has smoked chicken over a huge bed of lettuce and fresh tomatoes and cucumbers. Because of our little dog, we had to eat out on the covered porch, which we were fine with. Though I wouldn't necessarily call them pet-friendly, they were accomodating to us out-of-towners- a huge plus for us! (And very much unlike the Leesburg D&D) The ambiance here is that of a typical sports bar, but the service and hospitality along with the good food will bring us back soon! read more

I love this place. The stuffed potatoes are great. I love them stuffed with BBQ chicken. I've only get the stuffed potatoes when I go; so I can't comment on the other items, but I bet they're good. read more

Not much yelp action in this neck of the woods but this place deserves all the positive reviews. We ate here three nights in a row and had something different and amazing every night. Large sports bar style establishment but not dude-bro in any way and I'm not a fan of sports anything. All the wait staff is extremely pleasant and helpful with menu questions. Portions where big but not omg big and all very very good. The stand out for my party all nights was the brisket potato, baked perfect with just enough topping Ana d LOADED with some of the best brisket I've ever had. Moist, tender and just melted in your month. We opted for all flavors of wings each night and all were cooked just right and loaded with seasoning and flavor. These are not our average wings in taste or size. There was not a baby wing in any of our orders read more

We love their hamburgers and fries. They also have great deals on their draft beers. Their ample fries are hot and well seasoned!

Good enough place. Had a guy on guitar playing way too loud! He's good, just too loud. Food was good. Portions were huge. Service, was ok. read more

After a very hot day went there to cool down and eat. The a/c was out. We ordered takeout. I had no problem giving my order, we waited only about 15 minutes, got it and left. I ordered grilled chicken salad and chicken quesadilla but got pork. I called the manager and she said she would do a refund but didn't want to and I have not gotten one. I'm about to send them a letter. $25 worth of food I could not eat. She tried to say that they were chicken but my sister got the same thing and her meat was white, unlike mine. Besides, who doesn't recognize pork when they taste it? It's poor business on their part. So I gave them a bad score. read more

A close friend tried this place while passing through Centre and told me the burgers were really great--worth the hour drive to get there, so on Monday March 7, with nothing else on our schedule we decided to make the trip for lunch. It was worth it! One of the best burgers I've had in the last 6 months, and I eat a lot of burgers. A sign on the front door warned that orders could take a little longer because of staffing shortages, but our order arrived in what I would consider a normal amount of time for a place that cooks to order, so basically no problem. I did notice that only half the seating area was being used, but it's a big area, and I attributed that to the possibility they were short a server or two. The servers who were working were hustling and staying on top of people's orders. Our server was particularly nice. The menu has so many choices you could eat there daily for over 2 weeks without ever having the same thing twice. The only problem for this Georgia boy was that the soft drinks were Pepsi and not Coke, but hey, they have ice water so... Bottomline: It was worth the just over 100 mile round trip, and I will go back--even on $5 a gallon gasoline. read more

We stopped in here because nothing else was open at the odd time of day we were eating. We were afraid it would just be bar food but wow! It was so much more. Great food, lots to choose from, plenty of space, quick service. We are glad we stopped in. read more

This place has super unfair reviews. Ate here on a business trip. Wings were great servers were nice. Don't sleep on it

Gridiron has a unique sports bar vibe complimented with a home style country BBQ feel. The staff charms you with southern hospitality while they please your tastebuds with some pretty darn good BBQ. First, props for putting address / contact info on the menu so I could add this establishment to Yelp. I would like to see then get more business, and I did notice there was another Gadsden. If I lived closer, I would probably check it out, as I did enjoy the BBQ, and I wish I could honestly give Gridiron a higher rating, but there were a few things that require me to dock my rating. First, the beef brisket was pretty good. I have had a lot better, but it was good. The habanero BBQ sauce was spectacular and VERY spicy. I like it hot and spicy, but it does tend to mask less than stellar flavors. So I tried a bit of brisket beforehand and it was good, but maybe I just got lucky, and then I cover the rest in spicy BBQ. The fries were good and the friend green tomatoes were delicious sides. As an appetizer, I got chips and salsa. The salsa was good and then the "Texas Caviar" (or so I call it, black eyed peas and black beans with a bit of a pickled flavor) was spectacular! Problems: short staffed (but not crowded, so it makes sense to have less staff) therefore no one greeted us at the door and we had to wait for someone to notice our arrival. Soup of the day was also bad. It was chicken and dumplings. Tasted like pure gravy, not souplike whatsoever. The Philly Steak was average. They charge extra for mushrooms and peppers. We asked for that but rather than any mushrooms, we asked for double peppers. We were going to pay more. I suspect that if it were not for winning me over with Texas Caviar and awesome habanero BBQ sauce, I would have found the brisket to be average like the Philly Steak. Steak Burger Platter was lame. It was like a dried out hamburger without a bun. The service was quick after we ordered and very friendly, lots of southern hospitality. I left happier than the rest of my party. But despite my 3 star eating, I think Gridiron has a lot of potential. read more

The food is very good, and we love the chicken wings! We have never eaten anything that wasn't good!

Love the food. Prices are average. Was disappointed to see a delivery charge added to my bill for eating in! So, note that you have to pay for having your food delivered to your table now. Restaurants are having to get very creative to make up for all the extra money they have to pay their suppliers. Sad. read more

Just went for lunch as I was taken out by one of the locals. TV screens all over the place. Service was ok for there not being too many people in the restaurant. I quickly forget that you have to specify 'unsweet' tea in Alabama as you will be served sweet tea. For those that like sweet tea, if you like the one that makes your jaws hurt from sweetness, then this one is for you. It was pretty good, but since I'm not a sweet tea fan, I asked for my unsweet tea. Ordered the Touchdown burger with handcut fries. The fries were burnt to the point where I didn't eat them. Burger was overcooked and the bun was a little hard to the point it fell apart when I picked it up. Ended up eating the burger with a knife and fork. I'm sure they have better items on the menu, but if you are a burger person.. this might not be your stop. For the area and selection of restaurants, they are average. I won't rate them as I would a larger town due to the customer service of the waitresses being very good. read more

Fabulous smoked chicken salad! Great selection of beers.

This place is completely under-rated on most of the reviews. There are NOT a ton of sit-down Restaurants in the Leesburg/Centre/Cedar Bluff area.... But we have been here six times in the last year (we live in Huntsville, but have a permanent Camper here on Weiss Lake..) The service has always been SUPER (great, friendly, and polite girls!) The food is GOOD (nothing to complain about at ALL..) Plus, they have about 12-15 TV's throughout the place, and it's a great place to watch the Bama game in the fall! ;) Oh, and a pretty good Beer selection, too! No complaints from my wife and 2 kids,.... Or else we wouldn't keep coming back. ;) Dusty read more

There is something terribly wrong with your air conditioning system. Yesterday your floors were all wet and sweaty. Your staff was sprinkling salt all over the floor which only made it worse. Plus i could smell mold. You ladies bathroom is still not fixed the handicap stall toilet is unstable. Until these items are fixed i will not patron your resturant. read more

Just a simple sports bar with friendly waitresses. Burgers are great and the restaurant was clean. Service was fast and I will go back.

Stopped in for lunch and dinner over a weekend. Service was attentive. Smoked chicken salad was above average. Onion strings were kinda greasy. I would not say that they are one of the best restaurants I have been to....however, for the area, it is a nice addition. Beer selection is good. read more

I give this place a 4 to 5...I had never been to this town and didn't seem to have many restaurants so I was happy we stumbled here! I had no phone service for some reason so couldn't even look for food & feared starvation!! Nice beer selection, excellent service. Started with buffalo nachos-excellent! Husband enjoyed BBQ pork. I had catfish platter which I didn't care for, tasted "muddy", okra & cole slaw was very good.every dish that passed our table looked appetizing. Would definitely go back here if ever in the area. read more

Fri 2/26/2016 Just tried The Gridiron for the first time. The sweet tea was awesome. Ordered the salsa sampler for appetizer, it was bland, needed a bit more kick! This was the only downside! I ordered the buffalo shrimp platter with onion straws and Mac n cheese, my friend ordered the seafood platter which had two catfish fillets, fried oysters, and shrimp. He chose onion straws and fried green tomatoes for sides. His wife had the boss hog potatoes which was huge and fully loaded with BBQ and all the fixings. My shrimp was delectable and the onion straws were to die for, the Mac n cheese looked like easy Mac but actually tasted a whole lot creamier. I tried her BBQ potato and its up there with the best I've ever had! He gave me a whole fish fillet to try and its probably the best thing on the table!! We shared a wing sampler and all but three came home with us! Great food, great price, great service. Will be back even if it is 30-40 minutes drive!! read more

The food was absolutely delicious, but we had to wait about an hour for our food. The restaurant was not very busy either. I ordered the Redneck Reuben and would recommend it to anyone else! read more

This place gets a 1 because I can't give a zero! Our server was nice enough, however we arrived to a fairly empty place. It it seems the kitchen was going down in flames! Half the menu was not available, we settled on our entrees and placed our order, then waited over and hour and a half for a hamburger and fires and hamburger steak basket with fires. The only good thing we ate were the curly fries. The rest was disgusting! The place was kind of run down and the restrooms were very dirty! Our server told us they had got a truck in but no one had put it up or got anything on the smoker from said truck order. Run far and fast from the place! Will not return! Was sick the rest of the day after eating here! read more

The nastiest place - would never eat there nor recommend. Left when I saw a rat (not mouse but rat) in the dining area. Also smelled like it hasn't been cleaned in months. How are these places still operating. Calling and reporting them to the health board. So unclean!!! read more

Went in to eat on 6-22-17 and got the lunch burger basket. The total on my ticket was $9.00 with tip included. The amount that came out of my checking acct. was $16.62.
