Me and my boyfriend came here to grab a bite before attending a wrestling event. We literally just picked this place out not knowing what type of food they have. The atmosphere is so laid back and there's live music during a certain time of day. I admire the decor in the men's restroom. This is one of those pubs that you'll seat yourself, but we ended up sitting at the bar. Blackstone has a great list of cocktails, beers and shots that makes it difficult to choose from. They must've be known for their pizza because many diners had pizza boxes at their tables which is something that we gotta try next time. We ordered food and drinks which I ended up getting the bbq quesadillas and he ended up getting nachos. The nachos came with a big container of queso which was really good. My quesadilla was pretty thick which I've never had a quesadilla that huge before. It also came with chips and salsa. They don't skip on the alcohol because it seemed other restaurants you order drinks from have barely any alcohol in it. The staff is well trained and knowledgeable about the menu. Overall, this is so far my favorite pub in Gadsden and look forward to coming back. read more

Terrible service and staff. I'd spend my money elsewhere. It seems to me, if you're not a regular you get no service and rude service if any. I moved here 5 years ago and Everytime I've been in there it's something. Whether it's a waitress that forgets she is waiting on you or a bartender that doesn't want to work. I've had it all now. I'd go to the one on the mountain if you want pizza and they aren't rude ‍. This is an observation I've made over the last few times I've gone here. They need more places here because that's just inefficient. But it's ok we went elsewhere and had an amazing time despite this place. Not in a bowl and no artistic talent presentation. This is hilarious because I don't care about perfectio, presentation or what the bowl looks like, hell the plastic fork doesn't even bother me. Perfect bite and atmosphere for a day visit to this town. No bells and whistles. Just a serious beer bar with a kitchen to back up any cravings. If I lived close, I'd order my pizza from here. Double covered quesadilla had the most tender chicken inside. Only drawback here was the itty bitty plastic ramekin filled side items. Jar salsa and jalapeños do a disservice to such a delicious heavenly quesadilla. If you are splitting or sharing, ask for extra. Bartender suggested the perfect beers based off our preferences. This was a fun place to pass through on the way home. It's situated in downtown gadsden so park where you can! There were lots of fun drink specials, so we tried the liquid marijuana drink and some of the well drinks! Prices were pretty great for drink specials. Food is a bit more on the pricey side but it is bar food, and gourmet pizza so it's probably fair for most people. We tried to Caribbean jerk pizza and it did not disappoint. My only complaint was the service, everyone seemed nice but in a hurry because they were ready to close down, so everything felt rushed even though we had 2 hours until close. read more

Family and I went out for a late lunch and drinks to Blackstone on New Year's Day. A sign was up to seat ourselves and we found a nice table. We were quickly greeted by our server and she was attentive throughout lunch. We ordered multiple pizzas and were satisfied with each, particularly the crust. Drinks were excellent. I got their Bloody Mary which was their special of the day and it was perfectly spicy. I wish I snapped a pic of their beer menu because it was extensive without being overwhelming. This place is just cool. I never knew I needed buffalo cheese bread in my life until we stopped here. It's the perfect combo of spice and cheese lathered in ranch. For the main course we ordered the 16" Blackstone and it was a hit. The crust has great flavor and the sauce isn't overbearing. We liked it so much that we even ordered a pizza to take home. The weather was very nice for summer time and it was a lot quieter so our whole group could talk to each other. We arrived here after visiting another brewery in the area. The atmosphere was pretty laid back with cool signage, great selection of beers on tap, and a good menu selection for a bar. I had the Trippy Nachos (the Hippy plus buffaloed chicken). Excellent size and flavors. The chicken was spicy and perfectly cooked. Another in our party has the pizza which was also excellent. They have several signs stating it's the best pizza, and I have to agree it was really good with excellent crust. The draft beers were very good, with some DIPA's all the way to light beer. They have other beers as well, but the drafts shine here. The only negative are the rest rooms. Very small so be prepared to be close! If you want to have an enjoyable evening, have a couple good beers and a good meal, try Blackstone Pub. I think you'll enjoy it and go back for more. read more

I've been here twice in a week now and both times I was happy to have been there. The first time I was on my way home from Chattanooga and we wanted to get a new place so we randomly picked Blackstone. I'll be honest, at first I was a little let down with our choice because I'm not a huge pizza fan. This place might change my mind. Our first visit I got the philly pizza and it was delicious. I also go a grilled chicken side salad and I normally don't like meat in my salads (yes I am that picky person you hate to eat with, I'm sorry) this chicken was juicy and flavorful. It paired well with the ranch dressing and I'd get it again. One of my friends got the bar b que pizza, which was good but I probably wouldn't order it because I like a more sweet bar b que sauce and this one was more vinegar. But the flavors were wonderful together and the pizza was just the right side for her. She also got the Greek side salad and I had so many regrets about not getting it too because it was also amazing. My other friend (there was 3 of us) got a really spicy pizza that I don't remember the name of. It had buffalo chicken and jalapeño on it. I took one bite and my mouth was on fire Like, I regretted all my life decisions that put me there but she loved it. She also got the pork and beans side salad and it was so good. I'll have to try it when I inevitably go back up there. Last night I got the Reuben pizza (minus sauerkraut) and holy Thor. It was so delicious. I brought it home so my mom and husband could try it. I loved it, seriously. I'll probably get it again when I go back. I was a little hesitant because I've never heard of a pizza like that but I wanted to try something new and it was well worth it. The thousand island dressing is what really made it for me. I also got a Greek side salad and loved it. But I knew I would because of my first visit. My friend got the chicken bacon ranch pizza and it was also good. I'd order it for myself. I liked that the ranch came on the side as well, not on the pizza. She got a Greek side salad. My four year old got a pepperoni pizza which was just as well made and delicious as the speciality ones and a side salad because she loves salad. We also got the cheese and bread appetizer. The bread, which is also the croutons, is one of my favorite things I've had there. It's perfectly toasted and so delicious. The cheese seemed like a beer type cheese and I was expecting a white cheese but it was still good. Flavorful and paired well with the bread. It came with salsa which I tasted and it was a nice flavor. If we had gotten the chips instead of extra bread it would have been perfect on them. Hands down this seems like a nice place in Gasden that I'll be looking for reasons to go up there to try. When we left a man had set up to play some music, there were lots of people having a great time and it's got a nice atmosphere. You know it's a bar but it's still family friendly. Maybe more so because it was loud and my daughter wasn't a distraction for other guests. Our servers were nice and helpful even though they were obviously busy. I'll for sure be back and will probably try to bring my husband and other kids because they all love pizza. The worst thing about my experience last night is that I let my four year old carry out our leftovers and she dropped them right in front of our car. Like, we walked a whole block and as we got to the car it was on the ground. So I'll have to go back for sure now. read more
