02-21-26 went here for a birthday. Get place to host an event. Plenty of seating. Clean restrooms and facility. Staff very friendly. They will card you as they should. They had a band called Bob and the Fog playing. They sounded good. There is room to dance. They host other social events like Bingo, corn hole toss and darts. Parking is ok for persons with disabilities. They also allow outside food but NO DRINKS. I saw some deliveries in the area. They also had a food trailer in the parking lot. That person sold fried fish and chicken with chips it was ok. I think some pizzas would be great. Plenty of beer to choose from their house menu. They have some wine and canned sodas. We were traveling from Huntsville to Birmingham and stopped to get gas in Cullman. That's when we remembered that Goat Island Brewery was just down the street. We have loved their Blood Orange Berliner Weisse for years and have always said we needed to make it to the brewery. Today was the perfect chance. It was a Sunday afternoon, and luckily, they were open. There were just a few people, but as they day progressed, more trickled in. Michelle, the beertender, at the time was great. She suggested all sorts of beers based on my taste and let me sample them all. One suggestion she had was to mix the Mango with the Blood Orange. It was really good. The two that I ended up drinking were the Duck River Dunkel and the ISB English Ale. I also liked that they had pretzels and popcorn as bar snacks. We met some really nice people and talked for a while. It reminded me of the old summer days when everyone would just sit and talk and enjoy life. It sure beat the fast-paced and scheduled life that goes on today. read more

Big warehouse brewery in Cullman. I've tried their beer from grocery stores but this was the first time visiting the brewery. They have a large selection of draft beers on tap. We happened to go during happy hour on a Saturday! 16oz draft beers were only $4 during happy hour. Big Bridge IPA and Peace, Love, & Hippieweizen were my favorite beers. The bartender was helpful and knowledgable about the beers. They let you do flights up to 6, which is nice because they have so many beers to choose from! They have picnic tables if you want to sit outside and a huge inside area with a large projector screen. read more

Such a fun and welcoming brewery! We stopped here randomly as a pit stop to get a bit of relief on a hot day. We had a great time doing a tasting, enjoying a few other drinks, and swapping stories with some local regulars. The bartender was friendly and really knowledgeable of everything they served. Place had great air conditioning, tunes, and honestly is one of the cleanest breweries I've ever seen. Highly recommend stopping here if you can! read more

After a long 5 hour drive from Florida my boyfriend and I decided to go to Goat Island to grab a drink and decompress after the long drive. We enjoyed our first visit to the brewery on a Tuesday evening. It's a very casual atmosphere with plenty of seating. Several beer options on tap as well as wine for those that don't drink beer. Brewer is in the industrial park area. Great building. Big fan of the craft and artwork on the labels. Not sure why buying a 6 pack at the brewery cost me more than at my local grocery store. Great brewery! Unless I am local I don't see a compelling reason to visit the brewery. read more

I went to visit my friend who lives in Cullman and realized once there that they have a brewery (my friend didn't realize it was there either!) The tasting space is commingled with their brewing space and it feels warehousy, but not in a bad way. They also have some limited outdoor seating. Multiple TVs make this a good spot to watch sports. They also have a few board games available to play. Their beer was also pretty good. You can get a taster flight-- 6 7oz pours. You can also order your beers in 16oz or 7oz pours which makes it easy to try multiple beers while staying sober enough to drive home (drunk driving is the worst!). I particularly liked the blood orange Berliner Weisse and the Duck River Dunkel. read more

This place is great. Great beer, and great food truck. We stayed in our camper on site through Harvest Host. Everything was perfect.

I only gave them 5 stars because I couldn't give it 6!!! What else can you say. Great entertainment (band on a Friday night) and great brews. I HIGHLY recommend the blood orange and the Duck River Dunker and the big Bridge IPA. Well, heck, everything I tried was good. The owners are fantastic and the back story on the Richters was so interesting. Highly recommend this place!!!! read more

First time here. Beer was cold and delicious. It was Tuesday so they were setting up to cook crawfish !!!!

This is a friendly, typical brewery. The bartender was helpful, the beer was decent, and the space was huge! They had a free popcorn machine and you could bring in your own food. They also make their own wine in small batches. It's right off the highway and made for an excellent stop on a drive between Huntsville and Birmingham! Also, they had the nicest bathroom I've ever seen in a brewery! read more

Had some business in Cullman and stopped in for a beer. This will be a strange review because while their beer was very good, their customer service went above and beyond. I witnessed them have to deal with one of the most abusive Karen's I've ever seen. That's saying a lot as I'm a New Yorker and it has to be pretty egregious for me to find you rude. She pushed every button she could but they took it with grace. read more

Goat Island Brewing is great. It's a little out of the way if you're heading down on vacation like we were, but I'm glad we made the stop. All the beers we had were very good and the people there are very friendly. You can sit and see all their brewing operation while you finish your pint. You can order pizza and get it delivered from a local place near. They also have a popcorn popper and keep it popping for the customers. Awesome place! read more

Very nice place, not too far off the beaten path either. Good beer with lots of choices for people who like all different styles of beer. IPA was very tasty, Thrill Hill Vanilla Porter was delicious! We had a flight with each of their 8 beers on tap. While some of them were not what I personally would prefer to drink, all were very good & represented their styles very well! They made fresh popcorn that you could help yourself with. That was a very nice touch. They have wine also and may be distilling soon??? Not sure about that, but it looked like it might be coming soon. read more

Not only was the beer fantastic, but the brewery, like many in Maine, is wholly vested in the community it serves. I discovered this fine establishment on a recent trip to Cullman. I was lucky enough to visit the tap room the second day of operation. This is a warm friendly and delightful place. Be sure to say hi to "Blue" when you get there. read more

We just stopped by during the Covid pandemic and found the giant warehouse clearly marked with signs, sanitizer and directions. The bartender had a plastic screen to stand behind, but often forgot to do so. The band was excellent that night and the crowd was a all well behaved. The beer was tasty. Goat Island brewery is just outside of town, a large open space but very comfortable. We played Yahtzee. Their brews were nice, staff excellent. The popcorn machine always full. We were there on early Saturday afternoon and two young men were setting up to play. When the music started the singer (Alex Swinle) was captivating. He was singing and playing music from the 50's. He was absolutely incredible when it came to Elvis. Unfortunately the sound system was crap. Alabama is so charming and Cullman was a highlight of our travel through the state. read more

Stopped in on a weekday afternoon recently, had great visit with one of the brewmasters and enjoyed their beers. Richters Pilsner is a huge home run, as is the Blood Orange!!! You owe it to yourself to try their beers. These guys are killing it! read more
