Had the pleasure of dining here for a rehearsal dinner. There is a big private dining room in the back, and they took great care of us. I ordered the meatloaf and my boyfriend got the sirloin steak. The meatloaf was absolutely delicious, I was very impressed. The sauce paired so well with the mashed potatoes underneath and the crispiness of the onions added a great crunch. Would come back just for this dish. We had some of the southern charcuterie appetizer platter and it had a great variety of things that were so delicious. We didn't get a chance to try the orange rolls but did buy some to take home, which came frozen and had baking directions. But on a freezing blustery day we picked up a huge dose of southern goodness when we stopped at All Steak for lunch on a Friday! Mom ordered French Onion Soup and a side salad. I ordered three sides ~ mashed sweet potatoes, macaroni and cheese, and collards. Mom loved her cheesy soup and I left not a jot of my yumminess. All Steak is gorgeous ~ and on this cold day we truly appreciated the warmth not only in the decorating but also in spirit. Mark is an excellent waiter and made sure our coffee (deep flavor, ceramic mugs, soooo good) and bread basket never faltered. All Steak still sends you off with orange rolls (even if you just finished off a huge (shared) portion of bread pudding). Delightful and delicious. We were told about the orange rolls from our dear friend in Arizona who still thinks about these orange rolls fifteen (15) years after she last had them. She was NOT WRONG! The orange rolls were great, but so was the rest of the meal! Our server was Brody and he was a class act. He kept our drinks filled, rolls on the table and excellent treatment and service from top to bottom of our meal. I wish more restaurants understood you only get one chance to give a first impression. This was an excellent experience. But let's start with fresh side salads with fresh ranch dressing. The croutons had a great garlic flavor, pretty sure they are homemade. We both chowed down on the salads. I ordered the Gulf Red Snapper. Hubby ordered the Rib Eye. Hubby said he could cut his steak with a fork. We've been traveling since Monday and he said it was the best meal he's had all week. I had a lot of fish this week, going down to Florida. Tonight's meal was excellent. I was honestly sad when I took my last bite of fish. The fish was flaky and tender, and the crab sauce they served with it was scrumptious. Even the Green beans were great! I sopped up all the sauce with those yeast rolls Brody brought us. The much anticipated orange rolls were about to arrive! Were they worth the wait? We opted to not eat at the All Steak until our return trip home. Brody brought out our orange rolls, each on a separate plate. They were beautiful, smelled great, and even better??? They were delicious! I had read up on the history of this place, the fires, the restaurant sales and the tradition of the orange rolls. If I recall correctly, they have 1 lady who makes 710 a day and double that on Fridays for the weekend. I had been taking pictures to send to my friend who is still in Arizona, knowing she hasn't had one of these in a while. I wish I was able to take a fresh one home for her, but I live in Kentucky now. I overheard one of the waiters telling another table that we were in the old Ford dealership. Very cool to learn. The interior was a great vibe with beautiful cow prints on the walls. We will be back on our next trip to Pensacola, making Cullman our overnight stop again. It's definitely worth it. read more

My biggest concern/complaint is the All Steak is extremely overpriced for what you receive. I could have gone to Outback's, up the street, and received good food for much less cost, maybe without the same ambiance. I was there for lunch yesterday with friends and we ventured out of this area, I ordered Hand cut Ribeye and it was cookyto perfection! The bread is so good hot from the oven, the spinach artichoke dip with chips was delicious, service was a little slow for some reason it took awhile for the food to come out but the server was so nice and attentive. Looking up good eats in Alabama, this popped up. They were known for their orange rolls. Though it was about an hour away from Birmingham AMBIANCE: Parking: Street parking available. I didn't have any issues during the weekday Seating: Inside seating with room for about 80 people. Great for small and adjustable for large groups. Vibes: Culman is nothing too flashy. It looks like a well managed grit and grind small town with old school buildings. The restaurant itself is pretty spacious. Limited lighting for some intimacy and artistic pictures of cows. The popular music in the background gave it a nice sense of comfort/familiarity It's a pretty fancy place but not too fancy where you have to impress. FOOD: Alabama Blue Crab Claws (Recommend) Delicious these were kind of like lollipop wings. It was well breaded with cornmeal which gave it a good crunch. and the crab tasted fresh. You were able to pull the meat right off. The cocktail sauce gave it a nice zest to it. Mixed Greens (Recommend) Though it sounds simple and you think you can get in anywhere, that's not the case. The poach pears are well pickled in wine and cider. There was a good amount of greens. The gogronzola had a nice blue cheese-earthy taste and the cranberries and walnut had a nice sweet taste to it. Standout cocktails included the ginger-mint peach bourbon smash, the dragonfruit-infused "Khaleesi," and a fall-inspired apple cinnamon rye old fashioned--each crafted with care and creativity by the bartender who designed the menu. Being a bertender myself, I chose to pick her brain in their separate cocktail lounge which felt similarly low lit and intimate. The food was simple yet perfectly executed, highlights including my wife's fresh salad with farm to table greens and heirloom cherry tomatoes, my crab cakes appetizer, blue cheese filet, collard greens, baked mac & cheese, and standout traditional orange rolls for dessert. The overall experience felt unhurried, intimate, and exceptionally balanced--like a European dining experience with Southern charm. Visiting Smith Lake, we ventured to Cullman to All Steak. Lets start with the good. The atmosphere and the decor of the restaurant was urban and well appointed. However, it was very casual and the locals wore casual shorts and ball caps inside. The alcoholic beverages, margaritas, were good and reasonably priced. Our waiter, Brody, was very nice and accommodating- would highly recommend. We didn't try the famous orange rolls but the people beside us assured us they were a nice treat to finish the meal in place of dessert. I will say that i thought they were quite tiny compared to my expectations. I really wanted to give All Steak high marks but our foid experience was not good with a few exceptions. The crab claw appetizer for about $20 was good and had a nice cornmeal coating on them. However, we would have liked to have more for the pricepoint. The spinich and cheese dip came with a crispy fried pita chip, overall it was below average, lacked flavor and the chips were hard. Now for the entrees - I will say that i felt like the left side of the menu wanted to be upscale southern cusine but the right side didn't quit have the same feel. However, i ordered the braised short ribs that came with spinich and topped over grits. The price point was about $38. The shortribs were tender but the entire dish was overpowered with salt. It was not enjoyable. Im assuming the grits were stone ground as they were rather grainey in texture. They were out of porkchops at 7pm on a Friday night so the hamburger steak was ordered with a side of cheese grits. It was nothing special despite the menu touting it as having a custom mixture of beef. The cheese grits had parmesian in them and again, the texture was off and the addition of the cheese left them tasting of spoiled milk. Lastly, the meatloaf was ordered. It was the worst part of the meal. The best way to describe it is to say that a bunch of ground beef was put into a blender and ground into a mush without any seasoning and then baked to a fair-the-well. It was awful, to say the least. It was sent back and exchanged for an average Cesar salad. I hope this helps when you choose your dining experience at All Steak. read more

This is a very nice steak restaurant in Cullman. I came with my friend Julia for an early dinner. The atmosphere and the workers were all very professional, but it was not to where you couldn't come in wearing jeans and a tshirt. Our server was very nice and knowledgeable. When we first came into the restaurant, the hostess was not helpful when it came to explaining that the wait was either 15 minutes or we could go sit in the bar room (that is first come first serve tables & very family friendly)! All Steak is a well-known, upscale restaurant in downtown Cullman. We went there for dinner and all of our entrées were delicious. I had the red snapper that comes with grits and green beans. When the plate came out, it didn't look like much food. It was pretty small, but it was actually very filling and just enough food. My husband had the NY strip with a baked potato. Note a side salad does not come with the New York strip or the red snapper. It's an extra charge. My son got the French onion soup and mac & cheese, and enjoyed it. Our overall bill was approximately $113 including non-alcoholic drinks. The service was very good. The dinner rolls were brought out before our dinner which also included their famous orange rolls. I would've preferred the orange rolls at the end so they would've been warm but some people like to eat them before their dinner. If you're looking for a steakhouse, this is the place. It's probably the best steak around. No steak sauce is needed as it is seasoned perfectly. You can call to make reservations or you can make reservations online. Came highly recommended but I was a little disappointed 1st when I was being seated I requested a booth and was told they were all reserved but there were 2 open the entire time I was there. Service was initially kinda slow. People who came in after me were waited on before I was . Server was pleasant enough. I ordered the prime rib with a loaded baked potato. Prime rib was a little bland but the au jus helped . The baked potato was cold so I asked for another one. No restaurant would ever plate an overly cooked filet mignon like this and then try to tell you to cut on the other side there should be some pink over there sometimes they cook unevenly. Couple of 2 dined at Allsteak tonight. Ordered the Gonzaga filet with blue cheese and the filet mignon a bud light and a orange roll cocktail, and of course we had actual orange rolls. Ordered my filet mignon ($48) expecting it to be delivered medium well and exceptional. It was overcooked and tough and appeared to be old meat. I sent it back (as I never do) and the 2nd steak brought out was delicious but not worth a $48 meal for 1. The other steak was $45 and good but we have had better for way cheaper elsewhere. This place is making a killing!! Mashed potatoes are instant and low quality and the cheese grits were average. Bathrooms need to be checked and cleaned way more often, I have an embarrassing and gross story I won't share. On a happier note, our server Kelly was DELIGHTFUL!! Friends recommended we check this place out. We decided to split a ribeye because it was 14 ounces. Husband said it is the first ribeye he's ever had that didn't have a bone in it. The ribeye was like butter! It was cooked perfectly. I chose roasted carrots and Marty chose mac & cheese for the sides and they were delicious. I was in town and friends highly recommended this restaurant. We visited on a late cold and rainy Saturday night. Beautiful interior. Everything inside was warm and cozy especially with the Holiday decorations. Nice "brick" walls and polished wooden table and chairs. There were plenty of tables and even a back area with a bar, booths and wall mounted tvs so that would be a great place for a football watch party. We didn't have to wait very long because my friend made reservations. We were seated at a large table with hot rolls and butter already waiting for us... nice! Our server quickly brought us menus and took our drink orders. I believe this is a chain and they do their best to exemplify fine dining in this small town. Their name is misleading because they don't serve only steak. Their dinner menu with prices ranging from $6 to $28 include popular appetizers such as Fried Green tomatoes, Hot Onion Cheese dip, onion rings and Shrimp coctail. There's salads and sandwiches such as their Blackened Salmon, Classic Reuben, Chicken Caesar Panini and their own All Steak BYO Burger. Being a steak choices run the gamut from New York Strip, Ribeye, Filet, Sirloin, Kabobs to Prime Rib. Classics include seafood dishes such as Baked Tilapia, Cajun Grilled Tilapia, Shrimp and Grits, Crab Cakes and Coconut Shrimp. They also have Chicken Cordon Blue, Lemon Caper Chicken, and Chicken Oscar. Finally their desserts include cheesecake, Creme Brulee, Banana Pudding Parfait and others. I tried the 12 oz New York strip with asparagus and a side salad. They have a host of sides including sweet potato fries, loaded baked potatoWe all enjoyed our complimentary rolls while we waited. For a party of 9, the kitchen was very timely. Tammy commented that she didn't enjoy her italian dressing, but her Sirloin was good. My salad made of fresh cut iceberg lettuce, sliced carrots, broccoli, grape tomatoes with homemade ranch dressing was very good. The cook on my NY strip was a little more rare than I wanted and could've been seasoned a bit more, but otherwise very tasty. I always like how a kitchen can put those beautiful "diamond" charred grill marks on the meat. My cut of strip also had quite a bit of gristle on it, but that's what you stand a good chance of getting with that cut of meat. The asparagus was grilled nicely and not overcooked. I was surprised to learn that you we all got their complimentary famous dessert... the orange roll. So it's like a cinnamon roll except instead of cinnamon, they use grated orange peel. It was my first time trying this and it was quite yummy. Our server was very attentive and overall I had a great time. If I'm ever in Cullman again I will have to return and see if they have their special that night, the Shrimp etouffee. read more

After dinner, Garrett brought their famous orange rolls. I told him I needed a box. Treated like totality, he took leftovers and boxed it up for me.
