Main Tech person had to remove right front tire to get to engine parts but forgot to tighten the lug nuts when car was driven to parking area for me to drive off...which I did after paying bill. Needless to say wheel was wobbling and could have come off while I was driving. The shop has already closed for the weekend. I took it to Firestone and they solved the problem. F&F is a throwback where you get personalized service and attention. I generally do my own work on my old jeep (95 YJ 4.0) but my wife and I are in the middle of a move and all my shop tools are currently out of state so when my project started a coolant leak I had to let someone else work on it. Mark at F&F did a great job! He traced the leak to the water pump and through the course of repair found both the idler pulleys had a fair amount of putting, this in turn was causing belt wear. Since the jeep is 30 years old, those pulleys are no longer made, Mark was able to smooth them out and hopefully extend their lifespan. He also had to deal with 2 broken bolts on the water pump. I took a vehicle in for a "Safety Inspection", they didn't even check the tranny fluid.

First time customer and wasn't impressed. I was in the market for a local mechanic and picked this shop based on the great reviews. I made an appointment for an oil change and showed up on time. However, me and another customer had to wait 15 minutes just to get checked in because no one was manning the office. This was frustrating because I was on my lunch break and this was a waste of limited time. When someone finally showed up, there was no apology or even acknowledgement of the wait. Someone finally started working on my car 30 min after my appointment time. While I was waiting, another customer showed up to an empty office. He ultimately had to call the shop on his cell to get someone to come to the desk. The shop ended up charging me $196 to change my oil and swap out a cabin air filter. That's crazy. This business has a very large sign in front that they use to advertise job openings and such. This sign is placed in a way that completely blocks visibility when someone is attempting to turn from 196th St onto Bothell-Everett Highway. Drivers are unable to see oncoming traffic that can sometimes be going up to 45 mph-- there have been a few close calls. Called to kindly advise the business that their sign was creating a road hazard for drivers because of its placement, and if they'd be willing to move it slightly to allow drivers some visibility. The person who answered the phone was impatient, rude, and dismissive. When I explained the issue to them, they barked that they will talk to the owner and then hung up without any further discussion. It's been 8 months since the call, and still no action has been taken to move the sign. Contemplating whether I need to call local law-enforcement due to traffic concerns. This is an accident waiting to happen. Judging by some of the other reviews echoing multiple instances of poor customer service, it's not likely I would ever bring my car here if I needed to. I chose this repair shop for the wheel bearing noise based on its great reviews, but it ended up with a rather disappointing experience - it took more than 3 weeks and generated a $1,800 extra bill. - Positive Experience 1. The technician was able to quickly figure out which wheel bearing had an issue and fixed it in one day. 2. Gave an estimate for each repair - Negative Experience 1. Not responsible (this could cause a fatal accident) * They told me that they did brake fluid bleeding (without permission) and the brake was better than before, and they charged $70 for the test drive after the repair. Obviously, it was not true. When I drove my car, I did not expect that I HAD to push the brake pedal almost to the floor to stop the car and almost got into an accident. 2. The technician did not look like experienced * Caused spongy brakes when he replaced the wheel bearing (by bleeding the brake fluid) * Was not able to get the air out and kept trying to replace different parts, such as the master brake cylinder and abs modules. * At the end, he told me that he did not like my car and none of the things had worked. I had to tell them to turn the caliper a little to make sure the bleeder is at the top. 3. Put the cost of their mistakes on customers * The brake of my car was not spongy, and they caused it by bleeding the brake fluid * Master cylinder and ABS were not the root cause, but the replacement cost went to the customer 4. Did not ask customer permission * They told me the brake was soft and said they would check if there were any issues, but did the bleeding w/o my permission * I told them to keep the old parts, but they sent my old ABS module back to the factory right after. (I am not even sure if my car has a new ABS module or not now, since they told me that after installing the new ABS module, the brake was still spongy) read more

Adding some more to my review since they've worked on all 3 of my cars now. These guy's aren't the cheapest but this never applied more than with this shop, you get what you pay for. They use the best quality parts, all their techs have ridiculous amounts of experience, quotes are accurate, they will NEVER overcharge you. These guy's know their stuff. Despite being a little more expensive than other shops they'll still work with you on repairs and pricing. And for the amount of cars that are always being worked on they're surprisingly fast too. Everyone there is really friendly as well, super easy to talk to. I can't say enough good things about this shop. Along with bringing my old Mustang in I brought my new 2015 Odyssey in for an oil change. They found a leaking ABS module and they knew the car should be under warranty so they helped find a dealer to fix it. I also brought in a 99 Legacy with 99 problems. I tried to fix the brakes myself and ended up making it worse, they fixed the mess I made and didn't even charge me extra. I took a bath on this Legacy as well, odometer rollback, a lot of mechanical issues, etc. I'm eating that mistake but they're understanding about that. They know I don't want to put good money after bad so they're still working with me on just getting it driving. First visit: Transmission on my 95 Mustang GT was starting to act up. It's an old car with a lot of miles and basically worthless so I just wanted to find out how bad it was. They quoted an hour of labor to look it over but only took 30 minutes and only charged me for that time instead of the whole hour. Probably an easier diagnosis, but the honesty from only charging 30 minutes will bring me back. Very easy to deal with and schedule. read more

They were very diligent and even phoned the Chrysler experts for assistance. It turned out to be a corroded connection in a junction box. They charged me for half the time it took to discover the problem and made sure with additional diagnostics that the problem had been solved. I have been using this place to work on my work fleet trucks and my personal trucks. From basic maintenance to repairs-they do an amazing job! Prices are great! One time I asked to have my spark plugs changed along with a full service on my work truck. And instead of charging me to change the plugs,they showed me that the plugs were still great and not to waste my money. They don't use cheap Chinese parts,always oem which shows they care about quality. I'd definitely recommend this place to anyone who needs their vehicle fixed or maintained. I have an old Bronco that needed a lot of work. Mark and the guys are really knowledgable and are very good about prioritizing the work that needs to be done and working within my budget. Every time I pull out of the parking lot the quality of my 30 year old truck leaps forward. They've replaced axles, rebuilt my brakes completely, taken sloppy dangerous steering to factory new, inspected and serviced the transmission, the differentials, the transfer case, and so much more. Recently, I had to replace the engine in my vehicle and the dealer gave a ridiculously expensive quote to replace the rear brakes at the same time. We live close to f+f auto, so my partner walked down and talked to someone about our car and to get estimates, considering that most places are cheaper than the dealer. He was told at that time it would be about 300 tops if we had to replace more than just the pads, so we opted to take the car to f+f since they claimed they would be cheaper. We brought the car to them to get an official estimate, which came out as "good news" we only have to replace the pads!!! And they quoted almost 600.00. That was odd seeing how they were shown the quote from the dealer and they ended up being more expensive than the dealer even though we only needed to replace the pads. I said no thank you, because I know that was too much. (I usually buy the parts and have my mechanic dad do the brakes, so I know 600 for just the back pad replacements is too much. I just didn't want my dad to have to be out in the cold weather). I thought we were just getting an estimate, but they ended up charging me 65.00 for this. Who charges for estimates? For that matter, who tries to skim work from another mechanic place and then gives a higher quote? Also, we had an appointment for this estimate at 8:30, but my car stayed there til 4 PM before it was ready, so I had to use Uber to keep an appointment I had at 3:30. That is a long time for a rear brake estimate. It would be very convenient to use them as they are within walking distance from my home, but now that I know they are shifty, I will forever pass in the future. I give this place 1 star, because they people were very pleasant, not trustworthy, but pleasant. We ended up going elsewhere and paid 100.00. Also, they didn't keep my car for 8 hours. read more

It's been a while since I had any work done here, but, we did take our cars here for most repairs. They always seemed to be fair and did a good job and only a couple of time did we have to bring a car back because the repair didn't work out. Then my older toyota AC stopped blowing cold air. I had them look at it and was told the compressor needed rebuilding at a cost of around $500. Decided to pass since the car was fairly old. A couple of months later the toyota needed some radiator work and I took it to a small shop that was near me. On a whim I asked them to look at the AC and a young guy came out and checked a few things and said the compressor needed some new O rings and it would be about $75 to fix. The repair worked perfectly and lasted at least 3 year which is when I sold the car. Needless to say, I have never been back to F&F. read more

He was rude, talked fast, impatient and told me "I feel like I've already explained this to you". We had a surprise belt evacuation on the highway. We battery powered the car to F&F on a friends recomendation and were very pleased we did. They were super busy (the week before Christmas) so it took a few days for them to look at the car, but not only did they look they even repaired it before they called with the diagnosis and she was done the day she got looked at, and in time for Christmas too! I had an overheating issue with my 98 Honda Accord over the last weekend. Set up and online appt and received a call from Amy early Monday morning. I was told that they wouldn't be able to look at my car until Tuesday but that I could bring it in anytime and if a mechanic had a chance they would take a look at it earlier. They were able to fix my issue and return my car to me by 2pm on Tuesday, so the service was excellent and very fast. Amy was also very friendly and made the shitty process of bringing your car to an auto shop a lot more enjoyable. Didn't rip me off on labor and charge an arm and a leg (like Evergreen Autoworks down the street) either. I doubt they are the cheapest, but their service is so good I have never bothered to check around. I can always count on them to communicate with me about what the problem is, how much it will cost, and how long it will take. I have always found the staff maintains the highest levels of professionalism and the mechanics are very thorough and knowledgeable. The thing that I really appreciate, especially being female, is that they never try to pull one over on me. Best Auto Shop ever! I haven't found any other place comparable in service and quality! My husband's family has been taking their cars here for years, and now that I'm in the family, I am taking mine in too - they are amazing. We have had to get a lot of repairs done in the last couple years, and these guys never over-charge or try to fix something that doesn't actually need fixing. They always call us and tell us what needs to be done, how much it's going to be, and how much they're saving us! (An hour or two or more of labor, etc.) They are always fast and efficient, and have even driven us back up to the house a few times when we are in a pinch with no way to get home after dropping the cars off! Amy is always so friendly and accommodating when you call or pop in the office, and Mark is so patient with explaining all of the things they had to do on my car - even when I don't understand half of it, he is so kind to let me know why they had to replace certain things and when we might need to replace things later. I wish we didn't live so far away, but it's worth the trek from Seattle to Mill Creek to take our cars to these guys!! read more

Good Honest Auto Repair - very difficult to come by these days, but these guys offer it. Its not always what you want to hear, but they will be straightforward with you and tell you exactly what is wrong and why it needs to be corrected. They will take the few extra moments to work with you, answer your questions, and provide you with the necessary information for you to make the right decision for your auto. These guys know their stuff. Sometimes they are a bit booked up, but belive me its worth waiting a couple of days to get it done right, the first time, by the right people. They will not "take you for a ride" like several of the other shops out there. Feel free to take your car to another shop and get an estimate - then bring it in to F&F - they will tell you what is really going on and what needs to happen to do the job right. read more

I called in about my car that started acting up on my way to work, and they were able to get me in within 2 hours. They performed a diagnostic work-up within a half hour.
