First of all, it took EZ towing 2 hours to show up where my car was stranded. That did not bother me as much until the events that occurred during the tow. A tow truck driver named Fred from EZ towing showed up and was very nice and kind at first. He asked what the issue with the car was and loaded the car on to the flatbed. Once I sat inside the tow truck, he confirmed the details and gave me a different address where the car is being dropped off. Apparently it was their tow yard in Van Nuys. I did not agree to this nor did I have any knowledge from Progressive. I advised the car is going to my mechanic in Glendale. He said that's impossible and they do not do drops at night. They tow all cars to their tow yard and will finish the tow in the morning. At this point, I felt very uncomfortable having Fred take my car to their tow yard. I had his dispatch call me to tell me the same story and to tell me they tried to contact my mechanic and the mechanic advised they are closed and there is no safe place to leave the car. There is also a gate at the parking lot of the mechanic. This is a fabricated story. I spoke with my mechanic and they were aware the car is going to be dropped off. There is also no gate there. So I tried to call Progressive and confirm this info. When I called Progressive, they were not even aware the car is being towed to their tow yard in Van Nuys. Progressive called the EZ towing dispatch to have them take the car to Glendale. She again gave the same excuses while I was on the phone and tried to convince me they do this all the same. They handle BMWs and Mercedes all the time. Suffice to say, EZ towing dispatch was very rude and tried to sell me on their bait and switch of trying to take my car to their tow yard. Once dispatch refused again to take my car to the mechanic, I asked them to just drop off the car to my house as I did not trust my car going to EZ Towings tow yard. Whether they are trying to charge me or my insurance company for an extra tow, a night of storage, or try to cause some damage to car. Why else would they refuse to drop off my car at my specified address? Once I updated the drop off to my home address, Fred (the tow truck driver) told me to get out of his tow truck and told me to find my own way home. I told him he is not allowed to leave until my girlfriend picks me up to follow him. He refused and got in the truck. I told him to give me my car key as I don't trust him. He refused and said you have no right to force me to stay here. I told him to cancel the tow and leave my car here. He closed the door and took off with my car. I had my girlfriend go downstairs to make sure he got there and did not try anything funny. When he got there, he started telling my girlfriend how crazy I was and how I was overreacting, and that it was a simple tow and I should have let them take the car to the tow yard. I'm the crazy one while I was trying to confirm this info with progressive? While Fred was bad mouthing his coworker and calling him names in front of me? While he kept revving my car when it's causing more damage to the car? EZ Towing are a bunch of con artists. What a bait and switch and to try and make the customer look bad? Why not just drop off the car to where it was asked in the first place? Do you like getting all this terrible customer experience that you create for your selves? I hope you lose all your contracts with all the insurers and close down your shady business. I will NOT stop telling everyone what scum bags you are. I'm not the only person with a negative experience with EZ Towing or specifically Fred. He even kicked my car while I was trying to drive away after he unloaded my car from the tow. I cannot say enough great things about Juan Rivera from EZ Towing. My niece was involved in a car accident on the freeway, and from the moment Juan arrived, he made an incredibly stressful situation much more manageable. He was professional, knowledgeable, calm, and compassionate throughout the entire process. My niece was understandably shaken after the accident, and Juan immediately showed genuine empathy. He shared a personal story about how his own wife had been rear-ended, which helped reassure her that her feelings were completely normal. That simple act of kindness made a huge difference. Juan made sure we were safely out of harm's way, clearly explained what the next steps would be, answered all of our questions, and gave us practical advice about what to expect. He was informative, patient, and communicated everything in a way that was easy to understand. He also went above and beyond when we realized two sets of golf clubs were locked in the trunk of the damaged vehicle. I couldn't figure out how to access it, but Juan took the time to open the trunk through the back seat so we could retrieve the clubs for my brother and sister. In moments like these, people often remember how they were treated more than anything else. Juan treated us with kindness, respect, and genuine care. He truly felt like an angel sent to help us on a very difficult day. EZ Towing is fortunate to have someone like Juan Rivera representing their company. His professionalism, compassion, and exceptional customer service deserve to be recognized. Thank you, Juan, for turning a frightening experience into one where we felt cared for every step of the way. read more

Absolutely terrible experience with this towing company in Van Nuys. They also operate under the company name Moe'z towing. My car was towed from a parking area near a bank and I was forced to pay $544 just to get my vehicle back after it had been sitting there for only a few hours. The price is outrageous and completely disproportionate to what actually happened. The entire process felt extremely predatory. It's hard not to feel like these companies are just waiting for someone to park a little too long so they can tow the car and charge hundreds of dollars. There was almost no transparency about the fees, and the final amount was shockingly high for something that took them minutes. On top of that, the experience at the tow yard was unpleasant and stressful. No clear explanations, no real help, just a massive bill you're forced to pay if you want your own car back. Situations like this make it very clear how aggressive and unforgiving private towing can be in this area. If you park anywhere near lots monitored by this company, be extremely careful -- a simple mistake can cost you hundreds of dollars instantly. This was easily one of the worst service experiences I've had. read more

I had to request roadside assistance through my insurance. After waiting about 2 hours. EZ towing showed up. This company engages in predatory towing practices and extortion. Before even checking my insurance information, they loaded my vehicle onto a flatbed. then he said your car is not covered and we can't collect our fee from your insurance. The driver then demanded an outrageous $500 to tow the car just five miles to my home. I agreed to pay him and he said I will see you by your destination address. When I asked for a moment to verify coverage with my insurance, the driver aggressively took my keys, peeled away at high speed with my car to their tow yard, and held my vehicle hostage until next day. To make matters worse, both the driver and the management ( Fred ) at the tow yard were incredibly rude, disrespectful, and completely unprofessional when we went to retrieve the car. In the end, they held my car until I paid an exorbitant $1,200 fee just to get it back. This business is unethical, unsafe, and completely predatory. Avoid them at all costs. read more
