I had an excellent experience with EZ Towing after my car became undrivable due to a flat tire with two large holes. My tow truck driver, Fred, was professional, courteous, friendly, and extremely helpful throughout the entire process. He handled my vehicle with great care and made what could have been a stressful situation quick and hassle-free. I truly appreciate Fred's outstanding customer service and the prompt, reliable assistance provided by EZ Towing. I highly recommend EZ Towing to anyone looking for professional, dependable, and friendly towing service. read more

Fred is a really good guy. He's really good at what he does. They were fast efficient and got the job done.

Fred is very friendly, greets you with a big smile. And he is helpful. Highly recommended for your towing needs.

Progressive road side assistance connected us with EZ Towing for help with a flat tire on a Sunday evening. Even given the time of day, they were out to us quickly once they got the call. Fred went above and beyond to get the car loaded and onto its destination to the tire repair shop. He was prompt, polite, helpful, and professional. Would highly recommend if you're ever in need of a tow! read more

Absolutely horrible experience with EZ Towing. I honestly believe this company took advantage of us, and based on how everything happened, it felt like the entire situation was planned from the moment we told their dispatcher that the vehicle was not on the State Farm policy. I had borrowed my cousin's car when the battery died. I requested a tow through State Farm, and EZ Towing's dispatcher called me before sending the driver. I clearly told him that this was my cousin's car and NOT the vehicle on my policy. He knew this from the beginning and assured us it was not a problem. The driver arrived about 45 minutes to an hour later, loaded the car onto his flatbed, and strapped it down. ONLY AFTER THE CAR WAS COMPLETELY LOADED did he tell us that the vehicle wasn't on the policy. We contacted State Farm, and they told us to cancel the tow and request a different service. When we asked the driver to unload the car, he refused and told us we had to pay $300 to take it to our house or they would take it to their tow yard. We agreed to pay the $300 and told them to take the car to our house. Instead, the driver took our car to their tow yard in Van Nuys. We waited at the house for 15-20 minutes, but nobody showed up. We called EZ Towing and couldn't get anyone to answer, so we drove to the yard ourselves. When we got there, we were given the runaround and kept there until approximately 5:00 IN THE MORNING. They eventually released our car, but charged us $1,150 to get it back. We then had to buy a battery from them for $300, even though the battery was worth $150. We ended up paying $1,450. The worst part was dealing with their dispatcher afterward. When we told him that we felt they were taking advantage of us, he was using profanity toward us over the phone instead of addressing the situation professionally. Look at the sequence: we told them BEFORE the truck was sent that the car wasn't on the policy. They sent the driver anyway, loaded and secured the vehicle, then suddenly claimed there was a policy problem. They got the car into their possession, told us to pay $300 or it would go to their yard, agreed to take it to our house, and then took it to the yard anyway. I cannot prove what was going on behind the scenes, but after experiencing this firsthand, I genuinely believe this was not an innocent mistake. It felt like they had this figured out from the moment we told them the car wasn't on the policy. This company needs to be avoided. In my experience, EZ Towing's actions were deceptive, the customer service was completely unacceptable, and the entire situation felt like a scam designed to take advantage of someone who was stranded and had limited options. AVOID EZ TOWING AT ALL COSTS. I would never use this company again. read more

Fred was great. Very reliable and I would recommend. It went very well. EZ towing is good. Update: the only reason Fred initially got a five star review is because he refused to do anything until I opened the Yelp app to give him five stars. I'll assume all the other stellar reviews for Fred were forced under the same horrible circumstances.. Only use this company if you're looking for a tow truck driver with serial killer vibes, then Fred is definitely your guy. read more

This company damaged both my rear tires. I visited my friend for over 20 years new owner decided to tow my car parked in the driveway. Not arguing with that. The issue is it cost us $480 to drop the car and now I need 2 new tires, their equipment is not safe to tow cars. This should be 0 stars for equipment issues. They were supper rude when I asked them about my tires. I think all the good reviews are fake and made by themselves. read more

First of all, it took EZ towing 2 hours to show up where my car was stranded. That did not bother me as much until the events that occurred during the tow. A tow truck driver named Fred from EZ towing showed up and was very nice and kind at first. He asked what the issue with the car was and loaded the car on to the flatbed. Once I sat inside the tow truck, he confirmed the details and gave me a different address where the car is being dropped off. Apparently it was their tow yard in Van Nuys. I did not agree to this nor did I have any knowledge from Progressive. I advised the car is going to my mechanic in Glendale. He said that's impossible and they do not do drops at night. They tow all cars to their tow yard and will finish the tow in the morning. At this point, I felt very uncomfortable having Fred take my car to their tow yard. I had his dispatch call me to tell me the same story and to tell me they tried to contact my mechanic and the mechanic advised they are closed and there is no safe place to leave the car. There is also a gate at the parking lot of the mechanic. This is a fabricated story. I spoke with my mechanic and they were aware the car is going to be dropped off. There is also no gate there. So I tried to call Progressive and confirm this info. When I called Progressive, they were not even aware the car is being towed to their tow yard in Van Nuys. Progressive called the EZ towing dispatch to have them take the car to Glendale. She again gave the same excuses while I was on the phone and tried to convince me they do this all the same. They handle BMWs and Mercedes all the time. Suffice to say, EZ towing dispatch was very rude and tried to sell me on their bait and switch of trying to take my car to their tow yard. Once dispatch refused again to take my car to the mechanic, I asked them to just drop off the car to my house as I did not trust my car going to EZ Towings tow yard. Whether they are trying to charge me or my insurance company for an extra tow, a night of storage, or try to cause some damage to car. Why else would they refuse to drop off my car at my specified address? Once I updated the drop off to my home address, Fred (the tow truck driver) told me to get out of his tow truck and told me to find my own way home. I told him he is not allowed to leave until my girlfriend picks me up to follow him. He refused and got in the truck. I told him to give me my car key as I don't trust him. He refused and said you have no right to force me to stay here. I told him to cancel the tow and leave my car here. He closed the door and took off with my car. I had my girlfriend go downstairs to make sure he got there and did not try anything funny. When he got there, he started telling my girlfriend how crazy I was and how I was overreacting, and that it was a simple tow and I should have let them take the car to the tow yard. I'm the crazy one while I was trying to confirm this info with progressive? While Fred was bad mouthing his coworker and calling him names in front of me? While he kept revving my car when it's causing more damage to the car? EZ Towing are a bunch of con artists. What a bait and switch and to try and make the customer look bad? Why not just drop off the car to where it was asked in the first place? Do you like getting all this terrible customer experience that you create for your selves? I hope you lose all your contracts with all the insurers and close down your shady business. I will NOT stop telling everyone what scum bags you are. I'm not the only person with a negative experience with EZ Towing or specifically Fred. He even kicked my car while I was trying to drive away after he unloaded my car from the tow. Disgusting human being read more

EZ TOWING is great! Fred communicates and kept me updated on progress. I appreciated the communication and the pickup of my car!

I have never met a tow truck driver as friendly, professional, and helpful as Fred. I recently needed my new car to be towed to the dealership, and since my husband usually handles these situations, I was feeling a bit anxious about managing it on my own. From the moment Fred arrived, he made the entire process simple and stress-free. He was professional, knowledgeable, and took the time to explain everything clearly. What could have been a very stressful experience turned into an easy and pleasant one thanks to his excellent service. If you're looking for someone reliable, courteous, and truly dedicated to helping customers, I highly recommend Fred. Outstanding service from start to finish! read more

I rarely leave negative reviews, but I feel this experience is worth sharing. My friend's vehicle was towed while we were at dinner for approximately an hour. We did not see any clearly visible signage indicating that the vehicle was at risk of being towed. After discovering the car was missing, someone approached us and provided a number to contact. We had to take an Uber to a very run-down location to retrieve the vehicle, where we were charged $850. The entire process was extremely frustrating and left us feeling taken advantage of. What was especially upsetting was witnessing another woman at the location who had recently arrived in the country and appeared to be struggling financially. Despite her circumstances, there was no apparent willingness to help or accommodate her. I strongly encourage people to carefully check parking restrictions and research this company before leaving their vehicle anywhere they service. My personal experience was extremely negative, and I would not recommend EZ Towing to no body. read more

Very disappointing experience. I feel the way this towing company handled the situation was extremely unfair and left me feeling taken advantage of as a customer. The charges and circumstances surrounding the tow were unacceptable, and I believe customers should carefully review their rights and all fees before paying. I would not recommend EZ Towing based on my experience. I hope they reconsider how they treat customers and provide much more transparency about their charges. read more

Extremely Bad Experience -- Avoid EZ Towing in Van Nuys I had an extremely bad experience with EZ Towing in Van Nuys, and I strongly recommend avoiding this company. About two weeks ago, around midnight, I was at a shopping center when my newly purchased vehicle would not start because the battery was dead. The vehicle had not yet been added to my State Farm policy. I requested roadside assistance through the State Farm app, and approximately 20 minutes later, I received a call from EZ Towing's dispatch. I specifically explained to the dispatcher that I had just purchased the vehicle, that it was not yet listed on my State Farm policy, and that I needed a tow because the battery was dead. The dispatcher told me this was not a problem and that they would send a truck. It took approximately one hour for the tow truck to arrive. The driver loaded my vehicle onto the flatbed and secured it. Only after the vehicle was already loaded did he tell us that the vehicle was not on the policy and that they could not complete the tow. I explained that I had already told their dispatcher this exact situation and had been told it was absolutely fine. The driver contacted dispatch, and shortly afterward State Farm contacted us and explained that we needed to cancel this tow and request a different service for the vehicle. State Farm told us the replacement tow would be available at a discounted rate. When we tried to cancel the tow, we were told that we could not simply cancel it. We were told we would have to pay approximately $350 to unload the vehicle, or they would take it to their tow yard. We eventually agreed to cooperate and told them to take the vehicle to my residence, and I agreed to pay the requested amount. Despite that agreement, the driver did NOT take my vehicle to my house. Instead, he took my vehicle to their tow yard in Van Nuys. We went to the tow yard that same night and stayed there for hours. The employees at the office told us that we needed to contact their call center and that they could not help us. We remained there dealing with this situation until approximately 5:00 AM, when they finally released my vehicle to me. They charged me $1,235, and that amount did NOT include taking my vehicle back to my residence. I then had to request another tow through State Farm from a different company and paid an additional $250 to have my vehicle taken home. So, after I clearly disclosed the situation to EZ Towing's dispatcher BEFORE they sent a truck, my vehicle was still picked up, taken to their tow yard despite our agreement, and I ultimately paid $1,235 just to get my vehicle released, plus another $250 to actually get it home. I have already complained to State Farm about this experience. State Farm told me that, as a result of this situation, they are going to stop working with EZ Towing and remove them from their list of towing service providers. Based on my experience, I believe the way this situation was handled was extremely deceptive and unacceptable. The fact that I disclosed from the beginning that the vehicle was not yet on my policy, only to have the issue raised after the vehicle was already loaded, is especially concerning. I strongly recommend that anyone using roadside assistance through State Farm or otherwise think twice before using EZ Towing in Van Nuys. My experience was stressful, extremely expensive, and completely unacceptable. I would not use this company again. read more
