Really like the staff, very nice polite and dedicated to customer satisfaction. I went on a Saturday morning and it was quite busy. Dont bring your old frames here for new lenses. I brought my old glasses to the store and paid for new lenses, which they said wasnt a problem. When they installed the new lenses it bowed my glasses out to where they would slide off my face. They blamed it on the frames which is fine, but they said they were able to replace the lenses and never told me this might be an issue. They would also not give me a credit towards new frames and lenses so I ended up with a pair of unusable glasses with 250 dollar lenses. 0 stars read more

Nothing wrong with the glasses...but unless you have hours to wait...find somewhere else. They are understaffed and working so slow to up sell each customer that just picking up your glasses that are ready can take a really long time. The lenses for my glasses popped out of the frames. I had just had them repaired by another optometrist in town that cost me $85 and took 3 weeks and somehow they didn't manage to tighten the frames to keep the lenses in. Anyway, I took them to Eyemart Express, one of the clerks asked me what I wanted about 10 minutes after walking in. She took them to the back and 2 minutes later brought them back, with the lenses in place, and she didn't charge me anything! read more

It appeared they were short staffed. There were only two technicians. One technician disappeared and the other one kept asking if anyone was picking up. Those picking up went ahead of me. After 45 minutes, I walked out. I just needed new lenses in the same frame. Short staffed or not, help people in the order they came in-especially if it is walk in only. My experience with this company might be described as a series of unfortunate events, yet, by virtue of the store manager, I ended up with 2 pairs of no line bifocals for less than 90 bucks. That's an unbeatable bargain. So, I broke my glasses and needed a new pair. The store lab produced 3 pairs of glasses that were unacceptable. Every eyeglass lens has a "sweet spot" which must be placed precisely in front of the pupil. If the sweet spot is off more than a few degrees, vision is compromised. The store lab got this sweet spot wrong 3 times in a row. The store manager personally intervened and saw to it the glasses were made right. Yelp reviews reveal my experience as unique, everyone seemed satisfied with their eyeglasses, so perhaps the lab was having a bad day. Whatever the case, I am thankful to store manager for making things right. read more

We went in to pick up some glasses. We bought 2 pairs and one was crooked on my sons face so we asked if the man there would adjust them. He took the pair and started twisting the glasses. I am his step Mom and I said I thought you were supose to use heat first? The man didn't like my question and in a mean tone told me he had worked there 7 years and knew what he was doing. I was annoyed by his tone and his rudeness so I just left and waited for my son in our car. After I left the man had the nerve to make a snide remark to my son about me. I mean really? My son contronted him and told him basically he was being rude about his step mom. It esculated from there with a few words back and forth and this man told my son to leave. My son asked for his glasses and the man threw them on the floor. Quite shocking the poor customer service. This man should not work with people, so rude. Bilingual & Fastest service in Santa Fe. Called the doctor (next door) and he gave me an appointment for same day and Eyemart Express had my parents glasses made within 30 min after we stopped by. My parents only speak Spanish so having Lupita helping was a blessing. Walked into the store and the greeting was so so, asked them if they accepted my insurance which is a pretty common insurance for vision (VSP) and was told that they did. After calling with my id # the lady came back to inform me that they accept my insurance but that I was out of network and the benifits were limited to what I could use which is cool I understand that however they could have told me this over the phone when I called prior to going in. It's just ok. People are nice but be prepared to wait. It takes forever, and it is not because they are short-staffed. I went to pick up my glasses and it took 40 minutes!! I didn't leave because I already pay for them. They do have a sign up sheet so they can keep an order when people get there. But the funny thing is that they don't follow it. I told one of the ladies that I was ahead the people they were calling and she just replied 'No problem, you are next'. Guess what, they keep calling people that arrived behind me. read more

Go somewhere else unless you are willing to deal with gross incompetence. I've been here three times in the past 14 months, receiving lousy service 90% of the time. Most recently, I ordered glasses and asked them to be shipped. I received a notification 10 days ago notifying me that they were ready. When I didn't receive them after one week, I called to check the status and was told that had already been mailed. Three days later, still no glasses so I called again. First person who answered was clueless, telling me a manager would call tomorrow. When I called back and spoke to someone else I was told that the glasses were still there! Absolutely the best experience. I had lost my glasses on a trip and needed glasses ASAP. The particular combination of type of lenses and coatings was going to take 10 days, but Vanessa convinced the manager to make me a temporary pair in 1/2 an hour at NO cost. Then when my lenses with the special coating come in, they will put them in the frame, once again at no additional charge.
