I had a very disappointing experience at Ojo Optique. I purchased my glasses there less than two years ago. This week, I brought them in for a simple adjustment. The glasses were in excellent condition when I arrived, and a staff member even commented on how well they had been cared for. During the adjustment, the store manager used pliers on the nose piece, and it broke off while in his hands. I was then told the nose piece is soldered to the frame, that it could not be repaired, and that I was essentially out of luck. No warning was given beforehand about any risk of breakage. And, no liability waiver was presented. No offer of assistance was provided. After contacting ownership, the only resolution offered was to replace the front piece at half price ($130). Since the damage occurred during an in-store adjustment, I expected the business to stand behind its work and replace the frame. I understand that accidents happen, but how a business responds matters. I was disappointed that full responsibility was not taken for damage that occurred while the glasses were in their care. This is a local shop with very high prices, they should provide better customer service! read more

On vacation I lost a screw to my glasses. I called ahead to make sure they would be open and that they do repairs. Matt was very helpful and was able to replace the screw in very little time, and even indulged me in looking at a couple frames. The shop is very nice, and has excellent and unique choices for a larger fit, and all the frames are small designer companies with very stylish designs. I will definitely be making an appointment on my next trip out! read more

Look, you're going to pay a lot, but that's not why you're here. You want high-quality and fashion forward glasses. I have an 8-year-old pair that has held up great, and I still get compliments on them! I'm greeted promptly, listened to, measured accurately, and I always feel pampered. I drive from Albuquerque for the selection and service. I have a tricky prescription and their lab does a good job. You need to know they do not take insurance. read more

Even though I was a traveler just passing through, the owner and staff of Ojo Optique were welcoming, sympathetic and so helpful. My eyeglasses had been maladjusted before I left on my trip and unfortunately were giving me a crushing pain behind my ears and a headache. Despite the fact that it was against store policy, when I went into Ojo asking for help the owner took pity on me and was able to adjust my glasses so I could wear them without getting a headache. While I was there the selection of glasses was very tempting. They were stylish and hip. I would definitely go back and buy my glasses there. Maria J. read more

Simply amazing! I have been tinkering with cheaper but quite stylish looking reading glasses for the last 4 years or so and they kept on breaking. Annoying to say the least and my better half found this gem of a place during our road trip through New Mexico. No appointment needed while we were in town and when Adam asked us for our favorite styles we gave him full reign. THAT was a very good decision as he clearly has a keen eye and can sense people's style and taste on the spot. Daring designs at first but definitely top shelf quality and made to last. Highly recommended! read more

Ojo Optique - Eyewear & Opticians Near Me - Santa Fe, New Mexico

I wanted to like this store as I found their glasses somewhat stylish. I was hoping for a better experience. But what I got was not ok. Got huge attitude...over what I don't know. The owner didn't ever apologize or try to make things right? I said nothing in response to the owner because he seemed to excacerbate the matter at hand and wanted to fight me. I gave them a chance to redeem themselves as some of the people there were really nice. If you enjoy customer service this is not your place. I found it to be quite toxic and expensive. I expect that the owners will bash me for this review as is the norm with all other customers on this platform rather than to take responsibility for their mistakes and ego driven behavior. Just because you do business in a small town does not give you the right to berate and disrespect your customers that do not fit your mold. read more

I have made this business my go to for as long as I can get to Santa Fe. Today I received my fixed frames from them. In perfect shape and a fast return and this is one of many reasons why they are my only choice eye business. I met them through an eye frame that needed to be fixed and fell in love with the staff and products. Thank you for your quality work, beautiful frames and fun and helpful staff. I'm a fan!!!!! read more

This is an amazing eyewear shop with an extensive and exquisite selection of eyewear from all over the World. If you love design you will LOVE Ojo Optique. It's an experience! read more

If there were more than 5 stars, I would give it to Ojo Optique. These guys are the best! Top notch service and unbelievable selection of designer frames. Whatever lab they used for my lenses produced the best lenses I have ever had. I had progressive and transition in one pair and progressive and sunglasses tinting in the other. They nailed the tinting perfectly, and the progressive in both is THE BEST I've ever had. Easy reading! This place isn't cheap but the results are well worth it. read more

Go somewhere else, contact designers directly, if possible, or search for other options of optical shops to purchase. We were visiting Santa Fe and saw a great frame in their window. Went in to inquire and were immediately turned off. RUDE, RUDE, RUDE! Your money is better spent elsewhere. read more

OJO? OH NO. Called up to purchase 2 frames ($$$$) and spoke to Jeb. Simple right?! Confirm frame is there, confirm color, take my card. No, I got scolded for asking too many questions and I called him out on it. He became a Karen, blamed me and hung up. I want my frames with attitude not their sales people. This is basic but so was this person. PRO TIP: if looking for Anne Et Valentin or Theo, just call their store for the best selection, same price and better customer experience. read more

Adam is the best . I will t buy my glasses any where else . I live in Austin and wait to get my glasses here when I am in town .

Wandered in here on a short trip to Santa Fe. Am always looking for unusual frames as statement pieces for whatever I am wearing. You cannot go wrong here. Fabulous inventory that you won't see many other places. Not inexpensive, but you get what you pay for. Highly recommended. read more

Ojo has stunning, rare and independent designs. Jed was helpful, polite and seemingly holds an unlimited catalog of information about each frame, designer and the way the frames are made; I felt like I was talking to the designer myself! read more

This eyewear boutique not only has the best selection of eyeglasses and frames in northern New Mexico, their staff are professional, knowledgable and friendly. The screws fell out of the temples of my old glasses and Adam was SO incredibly helpful in replacing the screws, adjusting the temples and bridge, and making sure the glasses fit perfectly. Honestly, these glasses (purchased a year ago in California) have never fit and functioned so well. I'll certainly be coming back here for my next set of glasses! read more

Pricey but great selections. Manager was a bit unfriendly, but had a knowledgeable & helpful employee.

I'm not really sure what the difference is between trying on glasses and taking a picture, and just taking a picture of glasses. As somebody who has worked at a glasses shop, they were extremely rude to me. If I wanted to take a photo of glasses, there shouldn't be a problem with that...I don't recommend this place to anybody. read more

Oh no - unbelievable subpar service. I will not come back here - service and people are terrible. Not friendly and big turn off - go somewhere else....good selection but not worth paying inflated prices..... s family members shared same experience- not the eye store for me or u! read more

The most beautiful glasses come from Ojo Optique! Their prescription lenses are are also the best. Adam takes fantastic care of me and always has! read more

I can't say enough about the customer service at Ojo. I went in to see about getting my sunglasses repaired. They're my favorite and had an issue with the arm repeatedly falling off. Well, they fixed that (so far so good ~2 months later), cleaned them and adjusted them free of charge. THEN they asked if I had eyeglasses I'd like adjusted. Umm... YES?! They then cleaned and adjusted my prescription lenses free of charge. I purchased a handmade in France felt case to protect my revived sunnies in appreciation. Now each time I see the colorful case in my bag, I'm reminded of this stellar experience. Highly recommend these guys!! read more

What a fabulous shop. Adam helped me find a great pair of sunglasses - a very enjoyable experience! They offer unique glasses that you can't find anywhere else. Highly recommend this store if you're looking for glasses of any kind read more

Best glasses store in Santa Fe. Incredible selection of frames, from the funky to the fresh, from contemporary to classic. I've bought half a dozen glasses here now and have always gotten compliments. They spend the time with you to find the right frames and will work with you to achieve whatever look you're going for. Also a great place to buy a unique pair of sunglasses. Every time I go in, I come out with at least one more pair than I had expected. read more

Extremely friendly people, extremely cool glasses. These are like...the sports cars of glasses- both regular glasses and sunglasses. Not inexpensive, but the quality and selection of the glasses, and the care and kindness of the people, make it very much worth it. Great place to buy a souvenir of a trip that'll your wear on your actual face every day. :) There were also a couple of sweet friendly dogs in the shop. I got a new pair of ridiculously cool sunglasses custom-adjusted to my face, a lick on the hand from a cute dog, and the best customer service I've seen in a long time. read more

Super helpful and patient staff. The eyewear collection is both extensive and unique. We stumbled onto this business accidentally and loved it. We'd highly recommend read more

I just bought a pair of glasses here while on vacation in Santa Fe. I know this is weird, but Ojo carries a great selection of unique frames and are very knowledgable about finding the right style and fit for you. Be aware that of accepting vision insurance is important, they don't participate. Out of network reimbursement should be an option though. read more

I love this shop! I bought elegant and unique frames from a French designer, had the prescription filled, promptly fell and broke my new eyeglasses. Ojo was able to contact the designer in Paris, and get a new face frame. They repaired my beautiful glasses on the spot. For good measure, I bought a second frame, so that. I always have a spare pair of eyeglasses. read more

They have a nice selection, but really expensive. The lenses are not top of the line, as the price would make you expect. A previous pair I bought were never that sharp and scratched easily. The two expensive new frames I ordered had the totally wrong prescription, could not see through them at all. I've worn glasses for 40 years and this was a first. Chris not only insisted they were correct, but expected me to pay for both of them right away. In a very rude way. I'm a new customer at the Optical Shop of Santa Fe and very happy. read more

I love this business. The salespersons are very knowledgeable and service is the best. Won't buy glasses anywhere else. Sure they are expensive but you get what you pay for! They will not let you buy the wrong frames for your face, suggesting only frames that work for you. They are not pushy and take as much time with you as you need. No one is leaving this store looking ugly. Great selection of frames. Just go there. read more

We'll be taking our business elsewhere. We were made to feel inferior from the moment we walked in. We don't dress up on vacations, and I certainly don't wear business attire when I visit eyeglass stores. I save those outfits for my appearances on CNN and CBS Sunday Morning. You screwed this one up, guys. read more

I was in town from Los Angeles and happened to walk by Ojo Optique. I was not looking for glasses but was intrigued by what I saw in the window, went in and was greeted by two of the most wonderful and helpful gentlemen. Both turned out to be 2 of the 3 owners. Adam and Chris. They spent over 2 hours with me looking for sun and reading glasses and I ended up purchasing 3 pair. They were knowledgeable, patient and really objective about what I looked and did not look good in. I needed their opinion and they gave it candidly. What a FANTASTIC experience. I highly recommend you stop by there great store (incredible selection of unusual and interesting brands) and take a look. Also they have a beautiful dog name Izzy who made my visit even more fun. They apparently just opened a 2nd location in the Knob Hill area of Albuquerque read more

Wow do these guys know their glasses!!! They have an incredibly unique and selective inventory. The owners are always there and work hard to find a pair of frames that look fabulous on everyone. They are able to get prescriptions back in record time and are always available for adjustments. The glasses can be a bit pricey but considering the quality and the amount of time I wear my glasses, the extra cost is well worth the investment. read more

This place is outstanding! I was in Santa Fe for a week on a business trip and needed some glasses. I wanted something that no one would have at home. Not a problem here. Their selection is fabulous and I bought two pairs. Jed was super helpful and pulled some strings to make sure the glasses came in before I left. He fitted me and made sure everything was right. It wasn't at all the ordeal I was expecting. He even gave me some good restaurant recommendations since this was my first time in SF. It was a fun shopping experience and I'm so happy with my selections. If you need glasses, if you are in Santa Fe, stop by Ojo Optique. You'll be glad you did. read more

Best customer service in Santa Fe. They know what size fits your face and are super enthusiastic about what they do. Truly a great place to go to get glasses! read more

Excellent service and the best fitting glasses I've ever owned with great lens quality. I have acetate frames and lightweight lenses. These do not slip off my face and do not leave pressure points on the bridge of my nose, despite my prescription. Just went back to find glasses for my husband and there were many nice options available. The owners and staff took time showing him frames from many different manufacturers. Finally went with some durable german made frames suitable for my husbands active lifestyle, but really there were many great looking options. I really like shops like this in Santa Fe and will go back again when or if I need another pair. read more

Definitely the best in town, probably the best in America. The owners Chris, Adam, and Jed are lovely beyond measure. They take their time with you and have the best product. Top rate- please don't waste your time elsewhere. It's worth it to get a pair that will last you a lifetime. read more

choosing eyeglass frames is very personal. your ultimate guide is Jed at Ojo Optique. He sees design, color, style, and will listen to your inclination, and will assure your end result. what more can you ask for? read more

Great selection of frames. Almost humorously curt and unfriendly owners and extremely friendly and service-oriented employees.

Buying new eyeglasses at Ojo was a wonderful experience. Scot and Molly were patient and helped guide me towards frames that really looked good on me, and the selection is huge. But, even better than feeling great about the fashion of new, hip eyewear was how much improved my vision is with the new glasses! It's like I had some sort of personal "Helen Keller Moment." haha. Seriously, the upgrade from my old Warby Parker glasses to the new, superb lenses was shocking! Yes, the eyeglasses were expensive, but to me, crisp vision plus a cool pair of frames made it worth the investment. Thanks, Ojo Optique! read more

Decided to "treat" myself and select truly unique eyewear, once I moved here to Santa Fe. Checked out all three Optical shops in town, and was quite impressed with Ojo Optique. Purchased stellar MATSUDA frames for my daily wear, and ANDY WOLF for my prescription sun glasses. The entire staff and one of two owners [present] spent a great deal of time explaining lens and tint options and deciding precise measurements for my progressive lens. I have worn both pairs regularly for several weeks now and my satisfaction level continues to be exemplary. I highly recommend Ojo Optique to anyone who desires unique eyewear and service that is beyond compare. read more
