This is a family owned optical shop that has the latest styles in glass frames. The grandmother, mom and daughter run the place. All with lots of experience so that I felt well cared for. Second time I've ordered glasses from them. And I'm happy to be back. Their prices are competitive with a nice discount on a second pair. Only issue is that they don't take insurance which seems to be the way almost every optical shop works now. I like this family so much that I don't care if I have to submit the charges directly to my insurance. read more

My rose coloured cat glasses needed a new temple to "align" the fit. For 2 years, I went into different shops from East Coast to Los Angeles. Even other optical offices here in Santa Fe all had the same message, nothing can be done. No replacement can be ordered for the Kate Spade frame. We're so sorry. It's a little bit more expensive than the franchises, but on the other hand they turned out a superb pair of glasses for me, even doing the ultra thin lenses for my high index. They also give free refills of their lens cleaner (safe for C.A. coating), presumably into (?) infinity. read more

My brother and his wife found a pair of sunglasses in my room and took them with-out my notice. To my surprise, they fixed them and presented my favorite glasses back to me as a gift. I had a broken lens which was fixed, and a readjustment to the frame. Not only that, but they restored the gradient on both lenses. I was in complete awe! Never once did I think a lens snapped in half could be replaced. I Highly recommend this place! In fact I have another pair of glasses that I will be sending shortly. read more

I purchased two pairs of expensive glasses from these folks and yes they are very happy to sell their glasses to you but when it come to follow up such as cleaning, fitting, or adjusting them...forget it. They are unfriendly, downright rude and lazy. They will not even move from their place behind the counter without insistence. Customers service is awful and I will take my business elsewhere. Plenty of other places to choose from so don't was your time or money with these guys. read more

I had some non-perscription sunglasses that needed to be adjusted. I called Quintana Optical because they were close (at the DeVargas Mall). When I called to see if they could adjust my glasses, I realized, it was past their closing time. However, the kind woman that answered the phone said, if you are near by, I'll wait for you... and she did. I arrived about 5:15 (they closed at 5PM) and Monica Gomez happily adjusted my glasses. Bonus points too for complimenting me and my glasses (that I DIDN'T buy there!). When I asked Monica how much I owed she said it's free. Wow -- that kind of service for free, they must bend over backwards to help you when you are making a purchase. When/if I need to buy glasses, I am going to this long standing business and I hope you do too! read more

Tried to give this small business some business, two mistakes made. The owner rather cut her nose to spite her face. Glasses were ready with WRONG transitional lenses with a small discount due to her error. This customer was ready to accept and take the wrong product, which would have been fine. However when confronted, the owner turned away my business and and ate the cost.. I had to chuckle to myself. Who throws $500.00 + away in business. This outfit does. I recommend any one else but this small business OR their business must be so grand the can afford to diss locals. NOT RECOMMENDED.... read more

The most bizarre, unprofessional, and shocking customer service experience I've ever had. I went in to Quintana Optical to get my frames adjusted. I was greeted by the apparent owner, Leroy Quintana, who then took my glasses to the back to be adjusted. When he returned everything seemed fine, the fit was improved but I noticed some blurriness out of one of my lenses. I had noticed him wiping them off so I assumed it was just some cleaner and would quickly disappear. A few minutes later I realized that it was not coming off, my lens was ruined. I returned to the store and this time was greeted with a "Coffee Break" sign. The store was closed and it was close to 5pm. I left the mall and called. I spoke with a woman who informed me that Leroy had left, and that nothing could be done until he returned several days later. Not only that, it was also implied that I had damaged my glasses and was looking for someone to take the blame. I was told that I would hear from the owner at some point. Later that evening I received a phone call from Leroy Quintana who became incredibly hostile almost immediately. Some highlights from that conversation included him calling my eyewear "pieces of s***", telling me "good luck getting me to fix them", and he left me with "I'm not fixing s***...go f*** yourself." Needless to say, I wont be going back to Quintana Optical. And I'd advise anyone looking for glasses to look elsewhere. I've never been treated with such disrespect from any employee, much less the owner himself. The facade may appear friendly but I've experienced the other side of it first hand. read more

Anika (sorry if I spelled that wrong) is so kind and when I go in she already knows me and my style. She helps me find frames that look good and feel good. I trust her judgement because she will tell me when I can't pull off something- honesty is the best quality! The owner Monica and her father are one of a kind. Monica is always welcoming and happy to help my whole family + everyone I have ever sent to her with a smile and kind heart. Monica knows so much about the different lenses and frames. She offers a wide selection of frames and sunglasses and if you don't find what you like in her shop (unlikely) she will help find you what you're looking for! A big shout out for Quintana Optical who fixed my eyeglasses after a fall on a hike, I am traveling from Southern CA, and really needed these specs for the rest of my trip! I did have a spare (I always recommend this), but it is an older prescription and would have diminished the rest of my trip. The repair will not last forever, but it is pretty damn good!
