I've been going to Ogden Vision with Dr. Dygert for years. I don't have any complaints about Dr…read moreDygert himself (I didn't get to even see him today), but his current front office staff, specifically Julie, are terrible. When I went to check-in they had some questions about insurance. Our insurance had changed but we checked before scheduling to make sure they were in network. We have 2 versions of insurance, one that covers exams & one that covers lenses & contacts. They knew it had changed but didn't request anything before to get it cleared up and then while trying to answer questions with my wife on the phone looking it up, Julie cut me off multiple times & seemed like she didn't want to do anything but prove my insurance wasn't good. The last thing I was told by her was "they would bill it to my insurance but I know they won't cover it so they will send us the bill after." Since it seemed like she really didn't want my business I just decided to leave. Both my daughter & I have been going there but we won't anymore. It's too bad because Dr. Dygart is awesome but I have never dealt with someone so condescending or treated so poorly. Even better, after leaving we called our insurance & they confirmed it was fully covered.

But I would not trade the almost perfect surgery for anything in the world. My doctor did a superb job correcting things for me so I can work with so much more ease with my new lenses. Thank You.

I've always disliked trips to the optometrist, but for once I found myself at ease here. As far as…read moreI can tell, the doctor (Greg Wenom) is very knowledgeable. The doctor was very patient with the rather annoying "lens 1 or lens 2" type tests especially on the very annoying pairs that seem especially close. His recommendations were clear and he provided enough of the reasoning for his recommendations that I was able to understand why he made the recommendations that he did. Just as importantly, I found the staff to be knowledgeable and easy to deal with. I have noticed that often it is easy to find a good doctor or to find a good staff, but finding both at the same time can be a surprisingly difficult task. But I think I have succeeded with this optometrist. This has easily been the best experience at an optometrist that I have had.

I love the frames I bought at Standard Optical and wanted to just buy the lenses, but my insurance would not allow this. I called Standard Optical twice; once on 10/3 and left a message (No return call) call again on 10/4 and again no response. I drove to the store and the sales representative was listening to music on her I-phone. I inquired with Standard Optical and they would accommodate at the price of $690.00 for just the lens replacements. I told her that's a dealbreaker. Thank you. I then went online to Lensdirect.com and ordered exactly the lens I wanted, per the Eyeglass Rx. (Transition, Progressive lens, Polycarbonate scratch resistant.) Total price with free shipping $225.00 I do not recommend doing business with Standard Optical. Have a great day!
