We had a good experience with County hills eye center. They were great getting our appointment set…read moreup in a short amount of time. Doctor Rupp and his team were awesome! I would recommend to anyone that needs a good ophthalmologist. After reading other reviews that complained about wait times. We never waited more than 15 minutes. The best thing is I can see again!

Dealing with this office has been the worst medical experience I've ever had…read more 2 years ago, I saw Dr Rupp for vision that had suddenly worsened. In total, I had 3 appointments and many tests. When all was said and done, I was told that my prescription was only slightly different. When I told them that my vision was still extremely blurry, and that I was still struggling to drive and work, I was told that my eyes were fine and sent on my way. In March of this year, I made another appointment because my vision was getting even worse. The tech who was testing my eyes again commented that my vision was only slightly changed from my last appointment. When I expressed that I didn't understand how that could be because I was struggling to do even basic things, she mentioned that maybe it was because of my cataracts. I responded that we should check to make sure that she had the correct patient file, because I did not in fact have cataracts, she corrected me and told me that I did. She then didn't have much to say (understandably) until the doctor came in. This time, I saw doctor Church. When I expressed dismay that I wasn't told that I had cataracts, and that I had no idea of what was going on, Dr. Church looked at me and told me that all he could speak to was the here and now and that my eyes were fine and my cataracts were "mild". Shortly afterward, I was ushered out of the office- with zero information about what cataracts meant for future health and what my care plan would be. After I returned home, I called back and spoke with the office manager Jeremy. I expressed concern about the breakdown in communication and stressed that more than anything, I needed some education and information about what this diagnosis would mean for me moving forward. Jeremy promised he'd call back the next day. He called back 2 days later to advise that he wanted to talk to Dr. Rupp and would call me the following Monday. After 2 weeks, I called and left a voicemail for him and asked for a callback. It's now been 3 weeks and I have never heard from him again. I was frustrated initially with the lapse in communication, but my bigger frustration and concern is that clearly, they don't care at all. A simple call back from a doctor (or anyone) would have fixed everything. More than anything, I just needed patient counseling. Apparently, they don't have any duty of care standards. The lack of professionalism is astonishing. I've since seen another doctor and will be getting surgery soon. I would never recommend this office for their appalling lack of communication, absence of customer service, and lack of care of their patients. I've had many health issues and procedures and this is the only negative review I've ever written. I understand that a breakdown in communication can occur, but the fact that I got zero acknowledgement (let alone any kind of apology)or even any information about what was going on with my own health is unacceptable.

I would like to leave a shiny review, but instead I'll be honest. This will be long, but you'll be…read moreinformed. Upon having my eyes checked this last August at Ogden Vision, I gave them some frames I had barely used, with the old prescription lenses removed because my eyesight had changed. I did so because the $700 lenses I was buying didn't afford me the ability to buy their $150 frames. I spent about $1000 in their office the previous year for their lenses that were supposed to be scratch resistant, but after about 9 or 10 months, whatever scratch protection coating they apply wears off and you get scratches, so I wanted to save some money somewhere in the process, and I brought my old frames in to them to put my new prescription lenses in. After waiting nearly 3 weeks for my glasses, I get a call from them saying that they broke my frames, and they would give me a discount on a pair of their frames. So a discount was applied, but not enough of a discount to mention. 30%, there, I mentioned it. Unacceptable. Also, I find out that I have cataracts, which they said that they knew from my previous eye appointment last year, but for some reason they didn't think it was necessary to tell me until my visit this year. That's the kind of thing I should know fairly soon, isn't it? My first visit there in August 2025 wasn't much better. It was bad enough that I should have thought twice about going back, but I figured it could only get better. It obviously didn't. I regret giving them my business and I won't do it again. These things I say here isn't everything that has gone wrong with my experience with Ogden Vision, but you get the picture. Every one in the office is very pleasant and they act like they have your best interests at heart, which is nice on the surface, but I'm telling you I had to bite my tongue when I walked out of there wearing a pair glasses I didn't want. It's a small waiting area, a small office, and, frankly, I didn't want to make a scene in front of a crowded waiting room of senior citizens by telling them they didn't do me right. As a senior citizen myself, I can be gruff when I need to be. I had already expressed dissatisfaction to them weeks ago when they told me they broke my frames, so they knew where I stood. I should not have had to pay for frames to replace the ones that they broke. They were perfectly good, quality frames that I paid $200 for less than 3 years ago from an out of state optometrist. I'll go out of state before I set foot in Ogden Vision again. I am very unhappy about the whole experience of having to try and deal with them. It shouldn't be such a drag to go to an eye doctor and get glasses. Good luck to you if you choose to do business with Ogden Vision. If you do, hopefully, they will treat you better than they treated me. I'm not trying to be a victim, I'm merely saying that I have a low threshold for incompetence and disregard.

I had a…read morepainful experience backpacking in China from a scratched contact that left me half blind for a couple days. My contacts were killing me in Hollywood once, so I went to a Coldplay Concert and had to have my friends describe to me what was going on onstage. I have had countless other experiences while camping or climbing. Glasses are impractical when rappelling waterfalls and contacts are unhelpful when trying to find a bathroom while camping in the wilderness. It has been a month since Dr. Monson gave me lasik. I have LOVED it. I keep thinking I need to take out my contacts and then remembering that I never need to do that again! I am constantly surprised at how great my eyesight is. I can see the details in the mountains near my home that make me fall in love with nature all over again. I can relax knowing I won't lose my glasses or have those dents on my nose whenever I want to snap a glasses-free picture with friends. The reason I put this off for so long was because of fear. I had several misconceptions but made my consultation appointment because I wanted the benefits. Once I learned more about my options and the procedure, I felt better and better. Then, all I had to do was show up, lay down, and look into a green light. Not scary. Nothing like I was afraid of. I survived two weeks with scratchy eyes that soaked up eyedrops, but saw the benefits starting day one. I am so happy with my sight! I feel spoiled that I had the best doctor, kindest surgical staff, and BEST lasers. I am so happy I went with Dr. Monson, instead of a one-size-fits-all chain. I would do it again in a heartbeat. If you have any doubts, feel free to message me. I love to brag about my eyes, and I love telling anyone with glasses and contacts that there is hope. I love asking my friends with great vision how much they would charge to have to wear glasses or contacts the rest of their life, so they understand why this was so life-changing for me. I have a video of my surgery if anyone is curious:):)

After the third cancellation, I requested a refund. I was told to speak with the finance department, but despite multiple calls, messages, and in-person visits, I did not receive a response. I eventually spoke directly with Dr. Monson, who agreed to issue the refund, but as of today, I still have not received it. I am also concerned that the business is now listed as permanently closed, which adds to the uncertainty regarding my refund.
