I told him they installed and he with an attitude he said they could look it up. I assume he was the owner that looked it up an said that in fact that they did install it. I believe it was poor workmanship in the installation and was not happy with everyones attitude so just left $100.00 lighter and would not recommend. L

DISCLAIMER: This review is for Gaetani's Bangor office, I've never had any issues with the Old Town…read moreoffice and for them I would rate 5 stars. The Bangor office doesn't have its own Yelp entry (that I could find) so I'm using the Old Town one for now (and I'm happy to move it over later if possible). Although the staff were polite and efficient, I have to leave an "ok" review because of what happened during my visit today. I'm a new patient at the Bangor office, so I was given some paperwork to fill out. One of the waivers I signed was for an eye scan that I assumed was just part of my normal eye exam/prescription. I don't recall anything on the waiver itself indicating that it was not covered under a normal visit/exam. None of the staff explained to me that the scan wasn't covered by insurance; but in the spirit of fairness, one of their waivers did mention patient responsibility for knowing about your own insurance coverage. That being said, I feel as if I was mislead by omission. It cost me 40 dollars out of pocket, and while it is perfectly legal to hold me accountable for my mistake... it was a mistake made honestly and innocently. I've had nothing but good experiences in their Old Town office... I vividly remember as a young child feeling nervous to get an eye exam, and I remember how the staff went out of their way to make me feel at ease. The reason I didn't double-check with the receptionist about my paperwork today was simple: I implicitly trusted Gaetani Eye Care to have my best interests at heart. 40 dollars might not seem like a lot to most people, but I'm currently navigating a difficult chapter in my life. 40 dollars is a lot to me. If I had been told ahead of time that the scan was not covered, I would certainly have declined it- or perhaps been forced to take my business elsewhere. I do not expect, or desire, a refund of any kind. The paperwork Gaetani gave me was legally binding and, in the grand scheme of life, perhaps this is an inexpensive lesson for me. As a sign of good faith, I would be more than happy to edit this review and leave a glowing 5 stars if I could receive an apology. Hopefully this will prevent someone else from making my mistake in the future, or even inspire some minor policy change. [please excuse any punctuation or formatting errors]

If I could give negative stars I would. This company has possibly the worst customer service! Do…read moreyourself a favor and stay far away from them if you care about yourself or your loved ones. My elderly frail mother is on oxygen 24/7. She has to use portable oxygen to get to her doctor's appointments, radiation, and chemotherapy. She uses up her oxygen supplies quickly. I have to call them every month for refills and when I do, I am put on hold forever. Many times after a 30- 60 minute wait, someone will answer but then hang up! So, I have to call them back only to wait the same time again. Last week when I ordered her supplies, they were supposed to arrive that Thursday. The supplies were never delivered. Back on the phone to call and find out why the oxygen wasn't delivered and ask for it to be delivered ASAP. That call when as expected; it took 35 minutes to get through to be hung up on. I called back, and this time it was a 51-minute wait. Finally got through to find out they changed my mother's address back to a place she hasn't lived in for over 7 years! To get that fixed, it took over an hour! Supposedly she will get her oxygen this week. Please go with a different company! We are changing companies for sure!!!

They didn't have them in the store anymore, but said we could order a pair that would arrive at our house in TWO weeks. Two weeks seemed like a really long time to get my Christmas present but we decided to go with that option. They took down our number and said they would call with tracking information. Two weeks later we went in and asked for an update, and asked why no one ever called us.. they took down our number again and said they'd call on Monday. FOUR weeks later, still no boots and still no phone call. We went in to the store and they said we were misinformed, that it's 4-6 weeks not 2 weeks. They couldn't get the tracking information because it was a Saturday, so once again they took down our number and said they would post it to their bulletin board so that someone would ACTUALLY call us this time. Now FIVE weeks later, still no boots, still no phonecall. Called the manager of the store and they said they'd call back in 15 minutes after they talk to the distribution center. A few hours later, the distribution center called and said they got an 8 and an 8 1/2 so they had to reorder it, and suggested if I didn't want to wait any longer I should call the Bangor store again and have them cancel the order. After FIVE weeks of waiting. I can't believe this place!
