Walk-ins are always welcomed, too. Depending on the time you go, you'll either be the only one there or you'll have a small wait. I have been searching all over for a new threading salon and I found my new go-to place. Threading is not for the tame of heart, let's be honest here, it's hurts. But, the stylist I had here was fantastic. She was quick, yet did flawless work. My brows are in tip-top shape. I also love how she didn't really mess with the shape of my brows or make them too thin. They look totally natural. Other reasons to try this place: - they take walk-ins. I only had a 3 minute wait - they take credit cards - just ask them to add the tip. I've been to this place several times, and they've always done a mediocre job. This time, however, it was horrible. They had someone doing my eyebrows and halfway through, they switched to some new girl who was learning on the job. They made my eyebrows patchy and uneven! This is the second new girl in training has ruined my face here. I'm all about helping people learn, but not at the expense of my face. Threading is definitely the way to go - much more precise than waxing and I think it lasts a lot longer too. If you've never tried it I highly highly recommend! Eyebrow Threading Mountain View is located right on Castro street although it's in the back of a random looking building - just follow the signs! As for the service, it's very no muss, no fuss, no wait and not overpriced. The studio itself is whatevs but for $9 I'm ok with no conversation, jumping in the chair, getting it done and jumping out. When I went in this month it was $9 although I'm seeing $8 and $10 in some reviews and on some signs - no idea. Some other places I've gone to charge up to $15 for threading and it's impossible to get appointments. I'm not made of money nor forward thinking so this place worked really well for me. Since this place has two yelp pages for some reason, I`m copying and pasting my review from the other page: After walking by the $8 eyebrow threading sign outside a dozen times, I finally decided to check the place out earlier this month. I got there a little bit before 11AM, and realized that they didn`t open until 11. I waited until then, but no one showed up even at 11:10. So I decided to walk up and down Castro to kill time. When I came back, the lady had just opened the place. She asked if I wanted my eyebrows threaded, and I said yes. After putting her stuff away in the back, she got to work. I`m a bit surprised that others say it was nearly painless [there seems to be another Yelp page for this place] because while it was tolerable, my experience was far from "nearly painless." Anyhow, after she was done, she showed me my eyebrows in the mirror, and asked if it was okay, and since my glasses were on the counter, they did look fine to me. However, when I got home later, I realized that my left eyebrow was more angled than the right. Yes, that`s my fault, I should have asked for my glasses back first. But you would think that she would have seen it immediately. And during my entire visit, she didn`t say more than 10 things to me. 1. Are you here for eyebrow threading? 2. Okay, have a seat. 3. Hold your eyelid. 4. How do they look? 5. Did you want your lips done too? [Which was a little offensive.] 6. That`ll be $10. 7. Thank you. At no point, did she ask me how I wanted my eyebrows to look. Now, I know that $10 is a pretty good deal for eyebrow threading, and I try not to judge places to much on prices because I don`t know what their rent is. However, remember that there is a sign by the sidewalk on Castro, saying that it was $8. When you go inside, the board on the wall says $10. It`s so confusing. Reading other reviews, it seems like some people were charged $8, and some were charged $10. I gave her another $2 tip, because I figured that since the $10 was on the wall, that`s what it was. But it`s really deceiving. Also, there`s a sign that says you can get 10% off services if you show them your Yelp review. And I don`t trust places like that too much, because I feel like it`s a bribe. Yes, there are places that give you discounts for 5 star reviews, which is worse, but it would be awkward to show them a 1 or 2 star review and ask for a discount, so how many people would do that? read more

It was my first time to walk in for eyebrow threading last week. The lady who did it for me is the younger one, and her attitude is not good. She hurt my eyebrow and I saw a little blood dot after the threading. After one week, the shape of the eyebrow seems not even for both side. Decent job with eyebrows, but just noticed they left hair on my upper lip that I'll have to go home and remove myself and left underarm hair as well. Waxer was going to let me leave with powder all over my underarm until I said something. Found this place using Yelp. I briefly read some reviews but I was in desperate need of a thread session so I decided to give it a try. I walked in and was greeted by the two most sweetest ladies. Very kind. They took me in right away. I was out in less than 10 minutes! The work was proficient. I have tried the other threading station in Mt. View and this one out beats it any day. I found this place through a Google search and decided to try it. I usually get my eyebrows waxed but have found that threading does the job much better. The place is a little difficult to locate and parking was a nightmare since I decided on a 12:30 appointment time. I arrived about half an hour early and the woman helped me right away. I told her exactly what I wanted and she did a fabulous job. My eyebrows were a mess to begin with and she made them into a work of art! I had previously had a botched wax job and the woman working was able to correct my already uneven brows. I also liked that it only took about ten minutes and cost was $10. I have never had my brows threaded for only $10 before now and I am amazed at the detail the woman put into them. I also appreciated the fact that both cash and credit cards are accepted. I came to Eyebrow Threading during my lunch break to get my eyebrows and sides fixed really quickly. There was already somebody there but the wait was about 10 minutes - not bad at all! Niha took care of me quickly and efficiently. She did my eyebrows in a natural way, really just cleaning them up. She was really attentive when it came to my sides, doing the whole side and all the way down to my chin and some of the cheeks! I'm not new to this either so I was surprised in all my years of getting threaded no one has ever threaded so roughly before. I definitely won't be back. Ps. I previously gave a 4-star review. I had the younger woman thread my brows last time, and I walked out looking and feeling like a rockstar. Do be warned, that your first time it will likely hurt, especially the upper lip. Also, I looked it up and it's not necessarily a bad thing if the thread breaks. They hold the thread taut since a loose thread might cut and rip off skin :| I'd rather a broken thread than broken skin. THIS TIME: The older woman was there. I was really unhappy with the shape: last time, the younger woman gave me a lovely, subtle and clean arch. This time, no arch. They were uneven: one was thick and stubby and the other was thin and shapeless. My eyebrows looked like tasteless triangles: fatter on the inside, then way too thin toward the end. Yuck. I could have done a better job doing the eyebrows myself. Because the brows were too thin, I did not ask her to fix it in fear that it was beyond the point of return. I'd rather my brows grow back, and then I try again at another salon. read more

I came during lunch to have my brows cleaned up. The place was a little hard to find. They have a sandwich board out in front, but you have to go back through a hallway sort thing to get to the shop. Inside, it was clean and comfortable. I appreciated the that there was a chair that recliened. (I've been to places where there is a normal salon chair and you have to scoot to the edge and lean back). I will say that compared to other hair removal techniques, I think that threading is a little more uncomfortable, but not unbearable. Niha worked on my brows. She did a good job and they looked 100x better than when I went in. I was in and out within 10 or so minutes. I popped by this place after some quick research on Yelp, and decided that the ratings were high enough for me to give it a shot. It was fairly easy to find, and there were no other customers so I was seated right away. The lady who did my eyebrows was pleasant enough, but she didn't really make much effort to make me feel like a welcomed customer. Didn't ask my what kind of shape I wanted or anything. It was also the first time I teared while getting my eyebrows done! But no pain no gain haha. Decided to get my eyebrows done about ten minutes to three on a Friday afternoon. As I was hoping ETMV was empty so I was in and out in ten minutes. $10 + tip, and they accept credit cards. Perfect. When I was sat down I was asked if I wanted my eyebrows cleaned up or fuller service. Opted for option A, assuming it meant a more natural shape and fuller brow. I assumed correctly... something for which I was quite thankful for. I know eyebrows have a way of disappearing at threading parlors. I did have to guide the woman a little bit more than i was used to in order to make sure she got the edges of and between my brows (ie. had to ask her to clean up the edges a bit more). I like to assume the best in folks, so I don't mind that she was erring on the side of caution. All things considered it was one of the better threading sessions that I've had and I came out looking like my eyebrows were my own, albeit cleaner versions of my own. It was painful, but anyone who tells you that threading isn't painful is lying (or they've just had it done so often that they've lost some nerve endings in the area). Today nisha did my eyebrows and upper lip; while doing my eyebrows she would stop to make sure I liked the shape and honestly she was more anal about the little pieces of hair left than I was.
