She really pays attention to detail and made sure to check with me about how I wanted my brows before getting started. They've got a loyalty discount as well - five eyebrow threading sessions for $40 which is awesome(comes out to $8 per session instead of $10). Haven't seen many threading spots do that! Found this place using Yelp. I briefly read some reviews but I was in desperate need of a thread session so I decided to give it a try. I walked in and was greeted by the two most sweetest ladies. I found this place through a Google search and decided to try it. I usually get my eyebrows waxed but have found that threading does the job much better. The place is a little difficult to locate and parking was a nightmare since I decided on a 12:30 appointment time. I arrived about half an hour early and the woman helped me right away. I told her exactly what I wanted and she did a fabulous job. My eyebrows were a mess to begin with and she made them into a work of art! I had previously had a botched wax job and the woman working was able to correct my already uneven brows. I also liked that it only took about ten minutes and cost was $10. I have never had my brows threaded for only $10 before now and I am amazed at the detail the woman put into them. I also appreciated the fact that both cash and credit cards are accepted. Niha took care of me quickly and efficiently. She did my eyebrows in a natural way, really just cleaning them up. She was really attentive when it came to my sides, doing the whole side and all the way down to my chin and some of the cheeks! After a bad threading a few years ago, i was scared away from the idea of threading my eyebrows. On a Saturday afternoon while taking a break from accepting Uber rides, i realized i needed my eyebrows done desperately. I Yelped the first place close to where i was and this is what came up. The woman in the clinic was very nice and explained that threading wouldn't hurt as long as i held my hands in the right place to keep the skin taut. She was very gentle and took her time with the threading. I originally asked for just a clean up like i usually, then when i felt how painless it was i decided to get more off for the first time. I have really thick eyebrows and i am not much of a risk taker so asking for thinner was a big deal for me! But i took a leap and i am so happy! My face feels so free. I previously gave a 4-star review. I had the younger woman thread my brows last time, and I walked out looking and feeling like a rockstar. Do be warned, that your first time it will likely hurt, especially the upper lip. Also, I looked it up and it's not necessarily a bad thing if the thread breaks. They hold the thread taut since a loose thread might cut and rip off skin :| I'd rather a broken thread than broken skin. THIS TIME: The older woman was there. I was really unhappy with the shape: last time, the younger woman gave me a lovely, subtle and clean arch. This time, no arch. They were uneven: one was thick and stubby and the other was thin and shapeless. My eyebrows looked like tasteless triangles: fatter on the inside, then way too thin toward the end. Yuck. I could have done a better job doing the eyebrows myself. Because the brows were too thin, I did not ask her to fix it in fear that it was beyond the point of return. I'd rather my brows grow back, and then I try again at another salon. read more

Always able to take me without reservation- I just call and they say no problem. i have been to many places to get my eyebrows done and this place has given me the best shape with also the most comparable prices. They are not so quick that it makes you feel like nothing happened but they also don't take a horribly long time. It is a perfect amount of time where I can tell they are being meticulous and careful. you can tell they take pride in their work and the few times I have had a question about a portion that I thought I would still want taken off they discussed it and either showed me what their plan was or took it off no problem. It is a little hard to find you have to walk into an alley past the sushi place but the door is on the left. They keep the door closed often so it looks like its closed but just open the door and you will see someone :) read more

It was fairly easy to find, and there were no other customers so I was seated right away. The lady who did my eyebrows was pleasant enough, but she didn't really make much effort to make me feel like a welcomed customer. Didn't ask my what kind of shape I wanted or anything. Decided to get my eyebrows done about ten minutes to three on a Friday afternoon. As I was hoping ETMV was empty so I was in and out in ten minutes. $10 + tip, and they accept credit cards. Perfect. When I was sat down I was asked if I wanted my eyebrows cleaned up or fuller service. Opted for option A, assuming it meant a more natural shape and fuller brow. I assumed correctly... something for which I was quite thankful for. I know eyebrows have a way of disappearing at threading parlors. I did have to guide the woman a little bit more than i was used to in order to make sure she got the edges of and between my brows (ie. had to ask her to clean up the edges a bit more). I like to assume the best in folks, so I don't mind that she was erring on the side of caution. All things considered it was one of the better threading sessions that I've had and I came out looking like my eyebrows were my own, albeit cleaner versions of my own. It was painful, but anyone who tells you that threading isn't painful is lying (or they've just had it done so often that they've lost some nerve endings in the area). I've been to this place several times, and they've always done a mediocre job. This time, however, it was horrible. They had someone doing my eyebrows and halfway through, they switched to some new girl who was learning on the job. They made my eyebrows patchy and uneven! Waxer was going to let me leave with powder all over my underarm until I said something. It was my first time to walk in for eyebrow threading last week. The lady who did it for me is the younger one, and her attitude is not good. She hurt my eyebrow and I saw a little blood dot after the threading. After one week, the shape of the eyebrow seems not even for both side. I came during lunch to have my brows cleaned up. The place was a little hard to find. They have a sandwich board out in front, but you have to go back through a hallway sort thing to get to the shop. Inside, it was clean and comfortable. I appreciated the that there was a chair that recliened. (I've been to places where there is a normal salon chair and you have to scoot to the edge and lean back). I will say that compared to other hair removal techniques, I think that threading is a little more uncomfortable, but not unbearable. Niha worked on my brows. She did a good job and they looked 100x better than when I went in. I was in and out within 10 or so minutes. Yikes. I went there because I was desperate and started to look like Sasquatch, so I walked in at around 130 ish. Place was small, dimly lit and in the tiniest shopping area on Castro. The lady that was helping me asked me if I wanted the same shape and I responded with yes. We went about doing my eyebrows and I had to tell her afterwards the stray hairs that were missed. no problem. Then I check in and got 10% off and my service was only 9 bucks. I added a 2 bucks tip and left. The lady seemed so upset when I showed her the yelp check in and was annoyed of my constantly asking to correct her mistakes..
