I moved here about 3 months ago, and have gone a bit "wild" if you know what I mean. I don't trust any waxers after a really foul experience with a 60+ poor sighted woman with poor judgement for pain. But driving from Fullerton to Pasadena for waxing seemed ridiculous with the gas prices and "living green" -- so I ended up at Sameera's. It was awesome Quick, the whole experience was just 10 to 15 minutes. Funny, Sameera, if you havn't met her yet is totally awesome, ask her about Aishwarya Rai, the state of the union, why Indian woman have to do all the cooking... you will crack up for the duration of the wax. No plucking also... extra bonus. I am a physician and usually get pre-med pain and antibiotics from my dermatology buddies -- no need with Sameera. Highly recommended. read more

I've been meaning to write a review about my existence here. Haven't got the chance till now... Ive came here for my eyebrows a few times. They do them decent here.... But my review is about my nose piercing. I saw the price of $7.00 I thought , "wow..that's a good price... Why not try it" let me tell you... WORST MISTAKE EVER!!! First off, the lady who pierced my nose didn't seem like she was in a friendly mood she gave off a negative vibe AND it looked like she used an ear ring gun... They told me to start rotating it the next day and didn't say much after that. I had to ask what kind of sanitation should I use and they told me to just go into Clair's and ask for a nose ring sanitation spray. 3 days after my nose ring sank into my skin. I came in to talk to the lady that did my nose. She wasn't in. The other ladies there didn't even know what to do with my situation. They even looked it up on google (WTF ARE YOU SERIOUS?!)I went to a different place to get PROPER CARE . The piercer said they did everything wrong. She was suppose to use a long needle not a gun. And it was probably not cleaned properly. I got my nose pierced on the other side . I now have a keloid where my old hole was all because of the way the lady pierced my nose and the jewelry she used here at this location. I'd recommend to NOT GET YOUR NOSE PIERCED HERE!!! Your better off paying 20-30$ to get the job right instead of 7$ to get a piece of shit job. read more

I'm pretty sure that was the best waxing experience of my life! After my favorite waxer at another location moved out of state, I have been searching for a place to get things done. After I made my appointment, I walked in and check-in was easy. My waxer was still with a client so they asked if I could wait like 10 minutes, no problem. And it was FUN. The ladies in there joked about our kids, schools, etc. and just had a fun time chit chatting. Made me very comfortable. The actual waxing experience was painful, as expected, but the woman was light and fun. I usually break out the day after, but now I am on day four with no bumps or anything! Even though I prefer the hard wax, they did a great job with the soft wax. I am definitely coming back again and again! read more

Told was a 10 min wait, 35 min later I walked out because I could not wait any longer. It was so hot in there, no AC in the middle of the summer combined with being pregnant is not good! Customer service is very weird here, no sense of professionalism with front desk and some artists. If you want a cheap Brazilian wax especially if you're a first time customer then this is the place to go. Other than that, do not come here for eyebrow threading even though the price is enticing. It hurts like a mother f***** because the ladies there are inexperienced and they take a while. I live close to rowland heights and shiberi threading is an amazing place for eyebrow and lip threading. The Brazilian was was alright, the owner who does the waxing along with some other ladies are pretty informative. I would go with the owner of possible! I am very picky about my brazilians and Sameera is one of the best I have been too and $35 for a full brazilian is not a bad price either. She is very clean and sanitary which is very important. Also she does not lie waxing hurts but she shows you how to pull your skin to minimize the pain, but it does not last long and I have been going there for a couple of months and no problems. read more

They had a sign up for $1 threading for new customers. When we got there, understandably, there was quite a line of people waiting. However, the two women working seemed very upset that there was a long line and did everything to discourage us, and the next 3 people who came in, from staying. They made it very clear they didn't want our business, even talked loudly in front of all of the people waiting, about leaving and getting food and not wanting to be there. Then TAKE the $1 signs DOWN!! Or simply tell people you're full! Don't be rude and dismissive. This may be 5 minutes from my home, but I'll never go back. It had gone quite downhill. Definitely not the way it was when Sameera first opened. We left quickly and went to Ziba beauty instead! Definitely worth a little extra drive. read more

I can't post pics as it's such a private area, but I am very unhappy with the service I was given for my waxing. I can't even put into words how bad it was. At least 4 years ago was my first time here for a Brazilian wax. I was unhappy even then, and decided not to go back after my experience. It was my first waxing of that area, but I'd done research on how it was supposed to be done. She knew it was my first time waxing because I told her, yet she didn't advise for me to breathe in then breathe out out while she pulls off the strip. It makes it MUCH less painful that way. Anywho, that wasn't a big deal. What was, was that I was left with hair splotches everywhere, also in my "nooks and crannies," as I saw someone else put it when mentioning a similar experience here. If they can't get it all off with the wax, they're supposed to pluck it. I had told her I have skin tags but that they have no feeling in them, just so she wouldn't freak out or think she couldn't go over them. However, i guess she didn't, and she didn't pluck the hairs either, or even wax those "nooks and crannies." Didn't even try to do a little plucking at all. Nor did she try to clarify if it was ok to go around the skin tags before leaving so much hair. I also asked for a little tiny strip of hair, and she said she couldn't because the appointment was set up as a Brazilian wax. That part was understandable. However, the job was so bad I was planning not to come back until I saw another Groupon these years later, and thought it was a different place. I got there and wasn't sure if it was the same one since it looked so familiar, but I'd thought I'd gotten the previous Groupon from a place in la habra. The pictures on Groupon were actually much nicer than the actual shop is as well, so that was also confusing. I guess it wasn't la habra though, because Sameera's still had me in their system, and they said the Groupon was only for first time customers, so I paid full price just because I was already there. No biggie. Mind you, this was after I had called to let them know I specifically wanted the strip and had set up an appointment and everything...and somehow the person who scheduled the appointment didn't put the appointment in the system, so I had to wait like a couple extra hours for them to fit me in. THAT in unison with paying full price was what bothered me. Especially since I'd already let the person on the phone know my name, confirmed my Groupon and everything when scheduling my appointment. She made no mention of me needing to pay full price when I came in. I let it slide though. So anyways, I go in, it's somehow the same person from all these years before I'm pretty sure. I wouldn't have been able to remember her, except I recognized her demeanor and the job she did. So I tell her that I have skin tags, say just go over them, they have no feeling, etc. Was very clear that I don't want hair splotches. Well this time she left the strip...but didn't bother to cut it or anything, just left a fat strip of fully grown hair there! All despite the person over the phone saying they'd do it. The lady who did the job, also didn't warn me she was going to leave it fully grown if she did the strip. I still gave her a $20 or $30 tip as id been planning to anyways, but honestly don't think the job as a whole was worth $25 in total, because instead of surprising my husband looking all cute after his 6 month work trip, I surprised him with having to cut the remaining hairs off. Luckily we have a child already, or that could've been very awkward, but I'm still really upset that I didn't get what I paid for either time, and couldn't surprise my husband all freshly beautified like I'd wanted. This time, i made sure to keep note of the name and address of the place so I never make the mistake of going back when I'm going through Groupon again. I could understand if she was lazy with the Groupon price, but not when I paid full price, plus they'd already messed up on scheduling my appointment, forcing me to wait forever. Unacceptable. If someone hates their job this much, they should find another job instead of taking it out on their customers read more

I came here for a Brazilian. I appreciated that the wax was quick and as painless as it can get. However, 1 star docked for cleanliness of the room, it was rather dusty and could've been a lot cleaner. My wax person was rather aloof as well, she didn't acknowledge me when I entered the room and continued looking at her phone. I found out about Sameera through my close roommate. I told her i am very very picky when it comes to waxing, whether it is my eyebrows or brazilian. I moved from San Diego and have a very good lady that does it back home. She told me that Sameera is the best in the business! so i tried it out and I had the BEST EXPERIENCE EVER!!! From now on, im going to Sameeras'. First off, the salon is extremely clean and very nicely organized. The wait is not bad at all, of course you can never rush beauty. The waxing process was the quickest and most enjoyable one I have ever been to. She is very sanitized with gloves, and a new stick every dip. her methods are the best where it does not hurt nearly as much as other places. It was seriously the quickest wax i've ever had, probably took less than 20 minutes. She makes you laugh and giggle throughout the process so you forget your even getting a waxing done. The key thing to getting a good waxing is feeling comfortable, and she makes you feel completely comfortable! --which is hard to find in OC. Threading here is very good as well. It was my first time getting threading and i had a great first experience because of Sameera. many people say it hurts more or equal to waxing but i think it hurts way less. I love coming here. I have visited a few different threading salons in my area and this salon, hands down, beats them all. It is very clean, the waiting area is comfortable and there is always a fabulous Bollywood film showing on the bi screen tv. The sign in process is great and no one gets skipped. If you have an appointment of course you get priority. All the ladies do a good job, but we all have our favorites. I have even taken advantage of the $19.00 Bikini wax that you get for checking in on Yelp! i am in and out usually within 20 minutes or less. read more

I normally go to Pretty Kitty for my Brazilians but I got a good deal with Groupon. Well you get what you pay for. The waxing room didn't look very clean. The sink was so dirty that I thought it was broken. The lady didn't leave the room when I undressed and her waxing technique was horrible! What am I saying? She had no technique! She waxed over the same areas several times, she didn't apply pressure after each strip was removed, and the wax started getting too hot after awhile. It stung for the remainder of the day, it hurt to wear underwear for 24 hours, and left me bumpy for days. I will never come here again. I'm even going to forgo the 2nd session that is already paid for. They should not be doing Brazilian waxes here. I've had better experiences with Pretty Kitty when its $15 to let a trainee wax you. read more
