My previous experience at this facility was about a year ago due to the convenience and I have been pleased. Today I walked in and the place smelled like food, the young lady Sandy was pleasant and I specifically said I do not want my eyebrows small just a cleanup and shape. As soon as she began threading I knew she took too much off. Total disappointment she left hairs on the top end and hairs above my eyelids. I told her that it was not what I explained and she stated it looked good, to her but not to me, my expectations were disappointing and there is nothing I can do but them grow out lol. Called ahead asking for eyebrow thread and nose hair the lady said 25. I asked each or both and she said both went in got it done she was decently friendly but when I went to pay for two eyebrow thread and one nose wax it came out to 61. The sign said $18 for eyebrow and nothing about nose wax but when I asked she said "oh no that was my misunderstanding I meant nose wax $25" and both and pointed at both nostrils. I would assume getting both nostrils done with a nose wax service. $18 isn't bad for eye brow thread but $25 for nose wax is ridiculous and had I known she meant that much for that service I would have trimmed them myself. I asked three times politely if she could please thread my eyebrows before 7 o'clock the time that's displayed on the door that the shop closes and she informed me that she could not help me and that she had to leave. Came here a few weeks back to get my eyebrows done. The lady who's name I didn't catch wasn't the most welcoming person, but whatever I was only there to get my eyebrows done and be on my way. In the end my eyebrows came out decent but that wasn't without 5 cuts around my eyebrows and eyelids which were pretty painful to say the least. The service seemed rushed with her finishing in less than 5 minutes. Not sure what the hurry was, I was the only one there. In the end she offered me a membership plan claiming my eyebrows would need to be done again in a week and I'd benefit from the $55 plan. I've been getting my eyebrows done since I was 13. They certainly do not grow back in a week. I declined and went on my way. The next day my eyebrows and lids were full of scabs. I certainly will not be returning. read more

I've been going to Sabi and her sister in law since I was 16 ( I'm 26 now). She and her sister in law have always done my eyebrows well until recently, Sabi's sister-in-law made them dramatically thin, and she tried telling me that they were not thin at all. I told Sabi what had happened her words to me were "I'm sorry can't do anything now" which basically the same thing as say I don't care in my opinion. Didn't offer anything for the inconvenience. So it's clear that being a loyal customer for so many years means nothing to Sabi and her sister in law. Will never go back!! read more

Folks, avoid this place like the plague. It's a scam and extremely unprofessional place of business. In December we purchased a $75.00 gift card for a family member for their one month service. Our family member was met with the embarrassment of being told there was no money or service credits on the card. We confirmed the $75.00 was withdrew from our account and over the last three months we have been trying to resolve this issue with no call backs and refusal to refund the money spent on the card. I highly suggest finding another service provider to avoid these issues. Clearly the business is not in the business of doing the right thing. Complaint has been filed with our banking institution and the Better Business Bureau. Don't get suckered into this place, there is other places in Modesto to give your business too. read more

The lady had a shitty attitude and didnt even clean my eyebrows properly like she was in some kinda rush when the whole store was empty. 3 strikes & you're out. I was so happy w this spot initially. Not anymore. I forgave the first mistake, which was ruining the smooth bottom line of my right brow. I filled it in w a brow pencil. I forgave the 2nd mistake, which was leaving a naked vertical line in the middle of my right brow. Again, I filled it in. But the 3rd mistake? Ruining the smooth bottom line of my left brow...no. This was my good brow! That was the final straw. I really liked Sandy, but she's not there every single day. And I cannot rely on anyone else. I was referred to this place by a friend before the quarantine took place. When I found out they were open again, which apparently had been for some time which doesn't make sense since we've been in quarantine, I asked them if they could extend my 3 month membership and they said the only thing they could do for me was extend it for another week. Yay, I lost 2 months! So I tell they what I need done, face is super clean. No hair. But apparently they decided that one of my eyebrows needed to be thinner than the other. SO.. if you want your face threaded, perfect place. Eyebrows, not so much. I am not happy with this place of business and am giving them 2 stars because at least I have no hair on my face. Mmmmmh!!! Okay so, I walk in and the place wasn't busy at all it was just me a 2 ladies that were working. So one of them approaches me and I explain to her that I've let my eyebrows grow so she could shape them. She kinda just ignored what I said and I even told her I don't have an arch but because my eyebrows are super thick because I grew them out you can shape them to where it shows a little bit of an arch, okay so after that she seriously took like 2 mins ! She was in such a rush! I felt so uncomfortable and unwelcome ! After 2-3 mins of finishing I had lots of hair all over my eyes I couldn't even see and she didn't even care to wipe some off like Wtf! Not a fan of this place. I asked her to just 'clean up' my eyebrows and not to make them too thin. She listened but then after threading she trimmed the heck out of my eyebrows with scissors leaving me a bald spot that was NOT there previously. Apparently I need to say 'do not trim with scissors' also. I had my eyes closed because she was threading so I had no idea the trim was about to occur until I heard the big cut. Ugggg!!! Isn't the whole point of threading that you won't take tweezers or scissors to the shaping of eyebrows? Disappointed! Today I went to do my eyebrows and I have a natural shape I always just go to get cleaned up and the lady finished very quickly when I had left I went to go check out my eyebrow n my poor left eyebrow had been ripped to shreds it appears that the front of my eyebrow is missing hair a square patch to be exact I will never be able to grow them back she doesn't know how to do them never same girl who does them and I didn't go to Riverbank one for this problem will never return and of u love your eyebrows too don't come here warning!!! read more

I've had different people each time and they always managed to cut me around my eyebrow area. I thought that was normal until I started going over other salons, who never cut me.
