My daughter had a facial right after the head spa treatment and I saw the technician bringing in water from the bathroom sink, my daughter said she was wringing a towel from the bucket and putting it on her face. I waited in the lobby for my daughter to come out and saw a little girl sitting at the desk answering the phone. She was definitely under 14, she saw me come out and asked me "did you pay?" As if I was going to walk out without paying. There is a bit of a language barrier with the ladies so maybe that's why the kid was at the desk. When I was ready to pay, the lady said there would be a $3 charge to use my credit card for the facial, but then said I could just zelle her to avoid the charge, which I thought was odd. I would absolutely not go back to this establishment it appears they have good reviews for massage, but I would never get any other services here. I'm questioning whether they are licensed estheticians doing facials out of a bucket.

The salon itself was beautiful - it is located in the Bolingbrook Promenade, and the decor is beautiful and relaxing. The receptionist was incredibly kind and offered me water, coffee or tea when I arrived which was a nice touch. Katy gave me an incredible head massage as a part of my shampoo. It was so relaxing and a true highlight of my experience. She was also incredibly kind and personable. However, my haircut wasn't as great as the rest of the experience. I asked for it to be just below the shoulders, and instead, my cut was above the shoulders. When Katy dried my hair, she asked if I wanted it styled straight or with my natural wave, and I said let's go with my natural wave. I think that was a mistake, because while it looked a little off when I left, I assumed it was just the wave playing tricks on my brain. After I washed my hair the next day, I realized how uneven the cut was. There was about an inch and a half difference between the left and the right side, and it was unevenly cut throughout. Since I noticed on a Saturday evening how bad it was, I ended up going to a local hair Cuttery to get it fixed and they did a great job but did have to remove a bit more length to make it all one length. I ended up with a long bob instead of just below my shoulders. Overall, I had a pleasant experience at the salon itself, but the cut didn't live up to the experience. I might try a different stylist in the future since I did enjoy the location and general vibes, though appointment availability seems quite limited so that may just not end up being convenient or realistic with my schedule.

The spa suites are located on the eighth floor. The facial was pretty standard, slightly mediocre. There were awkward technical issues with the steamer, which took her about five minutes to fix. She did apologize for the issues and ended up getting it working. At the end she had to collect her belongings which is also a little awkward. It would've been great if she could've got the bath started so I didn't have to wait 15 minutes for it to fill up. You have 25 minutes to relax in the room and take a bath or a shower or use the sauna. This would be an excellent experience or well worth it if they allowed more time. The bath took 10 minutes to fill up/figure out and I only had 15 minutes left. 15 minutes is not enough for a bath and to get ready. I would've really enjoyed the amenities if I was allowed more time. I would say 45 minutes would be ideal. I think they should price higher if needed and give people this time. Without time to enjoy the amenities the spa is really just average. I like the brand of soap that they had available and that it is in a private room. Overall, everything just felt very rushed and not relaxing like a spa should be.
