My wife was in the mall and decided to go here to get threaded. WORST PLACE EVER! My wife ended up with cuts on her upper lip and eyebrows. There were blood marks above her eyes and lips. The person had no idea of what she was doing. There were scars on my wife's eyelids and upper lip. I will try and post some photos as well. Do not go to this place. We assumed that the services will be good because of its location. WE WERE TOTALLY WRONG. Save yourself some time and find a nicer place nearby. I've been coming here for a few years to get my eyebrows threaded basically I got turned off to waxing my eyebrows after some eyebrow expert in NYC once told me that the mechanics of waxing damages the skin. I didn't want my brows to end up sagging. So ages ago when I head about this new option I thought I'd give it a go and never looked back. So here's the 411 in case you're not familiar with the process. Its not any less uncomfortable to waxing just FYI, but I do find there's much less tweezing post waxing. They basically take a piece of white cotton thread what you'd find at the sewing store and some how pull up the excess hair. My eyes are closed so I really can't give you a full play by play. So enough about that now about the place itself. Its actually in a store because frankly I have an aversion to going to those kiosks in the middle of the mall with hundreds of people walking right past. The place itself is pretty basic but its fine. Generally I can just walk in and get my eyebrows done with no wait. I think one time the place was busy and I waited maybe 5 minutes. They do good work and I'm in and out pretty quickly and the prices are pretty reasonable. So I'd absolutely recommend. Again its no frills so just don't go in with the expectation of a grand spa experience but I can't complain about the service, I've always left satisified with cleaned up brows. read more

Stepped into this place not too long ago because I REALLY needed my eyebrows threaded. I really liked this place before when it was under different management. Apparently the people there now are completely different and the store changed its name. It's a shame really because the ladies who were there in the first eyebrow place were SO good. My eyebrows were looking pretty bad and I happened to be in the mall so I decided to stop by. It was ABSOLUTELY horrible. I was told to sit in the chair and the lady didn't even ask me what I wanted. She just got down to business and started threading my brows. She did it so quick and it just hurt so much. She accused me of plucking my eyebrows too much which was stupid because the whole reason why I was there was because I hadn't done anything to them since my last thread and they were looking like caterpillars. She was SO rude. The end result was horrendous. There was no arch whatsoever and she didn't even take the time at the end to groom them and cut them like most people do when you get your eyebrows done. Don't ever go here!!! It was the worst eyebrow threading experience I ever had and I can't believe that for sub par service I had to pay $12 plus tip. You're seriously better off going to one of the eyebrow threading kiosks in Tysons. read more

I went to the Dulles Town Center Mall tonight, and I thought I would have my brows threaded, so I stopped by this business and watched the video they have playing showing the process. I walked in, and both ladies were in a little side room which the door was open. The tall younger lady with long hair didn't see me, but the older short woman did. She looked me in the eyes two, times, and I could hear her grunt Ugh...and she sat down and completely ignored me. The other lady took her time to come out, by then I was walking out the store. I turned and asked are you open? She replied yes, and I told her the other lady looked me right in the face and sat down, and right now I don't feel comfortable to have anything done in a business with such poor customer service. Went here out of pure desperation as there seems to be two places in Leesburg to get threaded. Salon Montage is a little higher price point than I'd like, and threads which is also a threading chain like eyebrow design has super inconvenient hours. I've taken my boyfriend here a few times (also out of desperation) and noticed the last finished product was not amazing. I'm grown to become super anal about my eyebrows as I've had some really great results and it's hard to find/keep that one threader than does an amazing job. I've only seen two ladies working at this location. One is "medium" and one is "extra large." XL is the one that sucks at her job and on the off chance that I try this place one last time I'll be requesting that M do my eyebrows. I think XL made my eyebrows uneven and I'm not terribly thrilled about this :( read more

i went there twice both the times i scars in my face with the wax. they are very rough and choppy with there work. i have my face waxed. Know I have my face waxed every two weeks. I have never in my whole life gotten scared before. this lady that did my full face wax is telling me to thread and was complaining about my face having lots of hair. i felt like a clown work was done on me. not only that but she dripped the wax on my expensive shirt not a very nice work. i did not want to pay 35 dollers for some clown work to be done. this place needs to learn to wax without dripping on my sweater or scaring me. i am beyond myself right know. read more

I would give them no stars if possible. First, the ladies were extremely brusque when addressing customers, as though our presence was interrupting their gossiping time. Second, the woman TORE THE SKIN OFF MY FACE when she was threading my eyebrows. She didn't even brush the hairs off my face, so I had a ton of hairs all over my face. This is a big NO NO. I went in and told them don't make them too thin and make sure to don't arch it too high. I also told them that this is my first time doing this so I was nervous so take it easy. While I told all of these things to one of the ladies, she looked and pushed me over like she was in a rush or something to the chair and ignored ALL of my requests. Not only that, they didn't even do the middle of my eyebrows and some parts under my eyebrows. Hence that I had a lot of hair left under my eyebrows and they didn't care about fixing it. I'm NEVER going here again. This was a waste of $12. I should have gone to a better place. This place should be shut down at the Mall. I have been to this place a few times. Never have been good at doing my brows but convenient to stop just to get a clean up. However, yesterday I went and the lady that works at the first chair on the left as you walk in (never used her before and never will in life again) worked on my brows. I told her that I have been growing my brows out to get a nice shape. She said she would "try". That should have been a red flag. After she was done, it was more painful than usual. I just figured it was because I haven't gone in a while. Well, the next day, the bruising and scaring from the open wound showed up. I WILL NEVER GO THERE AGAIN!!!! Be warned. The person who did my threading seemed to be in a hurry of some kind . I have never had such a painful experience with threading ever before. Their pricing is exorbitant compared to the service they give- 18 bucks. After the whole ordeal I ended up with painful brows, and a small cut on my forehead. Went yesterday and they had new staff. Explained what I wanted as I usually do and my eyebrows were the right shape but too thin. So not very happy with the result! Also the lady that did my eyebrows didn't really speak English. Well, not to me anyway. The entire time she was talking to her colleague in a different language, which I find very rude. I mean the the whole process takes what, five minutes. So in conclusion, I think I will investigate other places to go! read more

Have been here several times because it is the only place around but it consistently disappoints. The woman providing my service today was completely half-hearted and didn't even brush the plucked hairs away. I had to point out two areas she missed (after cleaning my face myself) and I found more strays after I left, as well as discovering that my left brow didn't quite match my right one anymore. The website says they do henna tattoos, but they don't. When I got there the store was empty because the employee was standing out front talking on her cell phone. I went in and stood there for a while until she came in, handed me a price card, and started talking on her cell phone again. The ladies MOCK and RIDICULE customers in their mother tongue. I also went there out of desperation as there are no other threading places nearby. There are three ladies over there. One is tall and two are short. I went there in winters and it was extremely cold outside. Once in the shop, while I was taking off my coat, cap and gloves the two short ladies started whispering and giggling among themselves. She was ridiculing me in Urdu/Hindi for taking of my coat and other stuff and that too in a derogatory manner. She said "isne to asharam laga diya yahan pe, derra bassa liya etc etc... meaning( she is taking off her stuff like she going is to stay here as if this is an ashram (Ashram is a hermitage or a monastery where rich and poor can stay free of charge), she is taking off her stuff like this is her home and she is not going to leave. She must have thought that I would not be able to understand their language but to their surprise I was. She was giggling, talking nonsense and was unbelievably RUDE. I asked her in her language, "do you always make fun of people who do not understand your language? Went to the "eyebrow designer 21" late Saturday around 6pm I have been having my brows threaded for over 2 years (in Hawaii). I just moved here therefore I didn't know were to go and I was at the mall saw a Thread shop and was happy. I went in blind. . There were two women sitting on the coach. I was not spoken to at all. That should have been a sign for me to walk away. I have been growing my brows out to get a new shape. Hoping that I could get a nice arch. The woman who thrust me down in a chair said nothing to me not even to ask what I wanted. I told her she needed to shape my brows. Her reply "mmh" I was finished in less then 2min this is no exaggeration. The fastest I have ever had my brows done and the roughest. She applies this cold goop to my brows hands me a mirror and walks to the register to cash me out. I said to her that I wanted my brows shaped she said "you have great shape" there is a brow picture guide next to the counter I pointed to it and said "this is a shape" to which she replied $12 oh OK is that how you run your business. When asked if I wanted to give a tip I said no, I could have done this at home and it would have been a pleasant experience. I will never go back there and I will defiantly warn people not to go there! I wish I didn't pay her. This place is awful. read more

This was the worst eyebrow threading I've ever had. The woman kept catching my skin while threading making this a very painful experience and leaving my eyebrows bleeding, nic'd, and red for hours. I get threaded almost every month and I have never had it be so painful before. I actually had to ask her to stop because she was about to go back and thread over an area that she already nic'd and I could only imagine how butchered my skin would have been if I let her continue. Also she spent about 3 seconds trimming my eyebrows when I specially told her in the beginning that they were long and needed a good cut. Do not go here. read more

It was my first time getting my eyebrow threaded (btw hurts like the devil, I don't think that's her fault though) she didn't ask me any questions about how I wanted them shaped or how thick or thin I wanted them. They are suuuuper thin! I hate them. I look so stupid. I also got them tinted and somehow the woman managed to make one darker then the other. When I pointed it out she said that it matched my hair. I said yes it does but, this one is darker than the other one. To which she said it would fade after I washed my face. The customer service was horrible. I tried to make some small talk but she ignored me and spoke to her coworkers instead. When I got home I noticed I still had a ton of baby hairs all over just above my eyelid, which pissed me off even more because I did not just put myself through agony to have horrible eyebrows and to have to just go home an pluck them anyways.
