I could get a haircut by the supreme barbers in the DMV and then get my eyebrows groomed too! Jennifer was amazing and helped me feel very relaxed. I told her I wanted a soft-arch to straight brow look and she cleaned up my brows and made it look pristine! She ended off the session with some aloe gel to sooth the irritation on my skin and gave a little brow/temple massage which I really appreciated. Such a great experience! I have very large full brows all i asked for was a clean up and she removed most of my brows and gave me a pencil brow shape. This is horrible and right before a big event. I have been coming here for 2 years. The service is great and fast and its $16 dollars for eyebrows. I have not done my upper though. In terms of my eyebrows I have thick eyebrows and I always tell them to just clean them and try to make them even. I have always had really good experience with all the staff (honestly). It hurts but no scars or cuts. Also, I think it is nice that after 8 times you get one for free! Let me start by saying I REALLY try to only leave positive reviews unless something is REALLY BAD! but after the experience I had here, I felt the need to share. I've been getting my eyebrows threaded for 20+ years. I'm new to the area, and this was my 2nd time going here... both times out of desperation because I needed my eyebrows done for an event. The first time, she did an OK job,so I decided to give her another try.... but this time was not a great experience AT ALL. I arrived and as she was finishing up another client. Once I sat down in the chair, I told her I wanted my upper lip and eyebrows done. I asked her to be gentle and if she could use a more gentle thread (most places have options based on your skin sensitivity). I usually warned new threaders because when they move too quickly, they tend to cut skin. She seemed annoyed and just brushed it off. After she finished my upper lip, I reminded her again to please me gentle. She said "mhm" and proceeded to do my eyebrows. Multiple times, I had to ask her to stop because I could tell she was cutting me. When she finished, my eyebrows were extremely irritated but no visible blood. I paid (still left a tip) and left. It wasn't until the next morning that I realized the damage she had done! I woke up with THREE scabs on one eyebrow and one on the other. I also realized how much hair she had left on my eyebrows and upper lip. The hair is starting to grow l back, and usually, it's thinner after threading. It's now growing back THICKER and worse than before. Next time, I would rather just leave the hair overgrown. Lesson learned- I will NOT be back read more

I discovered this place a few months ago and now it's the only place I go to get my eyebrows threaded. The service is great and fast and the staff are really nice. I don't go that often since it's $13 for an eyebrow threading, so I go every 3 months or so. If you can, I would recommend going in the middle of the day as there tends to be a line in the evening time after work. The shop is very spacious, clean, and bright. All the ladies that work there are very customer-oriented -- I was never disappointed going there! All you need to do is communicate with them how your eyebrows want to look. Since they are very competent, they are very quick in finishing the job! They also have a loyalty card! Update: I went back to this place and another lady fixed my eyebrows and did a nice job I'm bumping it up to 3 stars; she did a good job but I'm still hesitant because of my bad experience the day before. I will go back and I'm sure it will be up to 4* again, but dang! Be careful who you get! It's a great experience if you get someone good!!! I usually love this place, but tonight I went on 3/5 around 6P, and the lady didn't do a good job. When I got home, I noticed between my eyebrows still had multiple strands of hair, and above my eyebrows as well, they were undoubtedly much cleaner than when I walked in, but overall, it was a waste of money, and my eyebrows are now very red and irritated, which typically only last a few hours. Full disclosure: I am of Indian descent, which means I was naturally blessed/ cursed with thick luscious hair. Being born with a natural blanket is not always a blessing. The ladies at American Threading Plus know what they are doing...and they do it well.I was in and out in 10 minutes (impressive considering my thick bushy brows) and I don't have a unibrow anymore! I received quite a few eyebrow-related compliments in the office today! Open late until 8pm so you can stop by after work. They have a customer loyalty program where you get the 9th threading for free. At the rate my brows grow, I will have my free threading within 3 months. I've been getting my eyebrows and full face threaded for a few months here. The wait can be lengthy based on day and time of day (a little longer on weekends and weekday evenings) since they don't take appointments. That being said, I don't think I've waited longer than 15 min. The woman I see on weekends is great! She is quick and does a really great job shaping my eyebrows and doing a clean full face threading. I have seen a woman (didn't catch her name) during the weekdays (Mon-Wed) a couple of times. I haven't had a great experience with her hence 4 instead of 5 stars. Her client etiquette isn't great - she knocks my head around forcefully which is a little annoying. She also missed a lot of hairs on my face and my eyebrows were uneven. She used an incredible amount of powder on my face which she said was to help catch the hairs better but, despite this, she did not do a very thorough job and I ended up with a ton of powder in my hair and clothes. There was a new person and she literally cut my skin at a few places and her hand was very hard with eyebrows. She was on phone while doing my brows. They also increased the price from $13 to $16 and with tax and tip almost $20 for one eyebrow and that she just did a clean-up. Not going back again. I didn't get any type of confirmation, but luckily remembered what time I made the appointment for (not that it matters-I had to wait anyway because they accept walk-ins). I am not sure if it was just because I had not threaded my brows in a while, but I had so many small cuts all over my brow area that hurt! I also experienced prolonged redness and broke out a bit. It was surprising because I usually get some redness, but it goes away in a day. I got my brows done last Saturday and they are still a little red with multiple little scabs everywhere.
