I have since spoken with Dr. Teller about the issue we were having with scheduling. He has been more than helpful in making accommodations.

Teller was very thorough in explaining my eye condition and getting me fit in more comfortable contact lenses.

Found Dr. Ephraim after finding him recommended by neighbors and had a perfect experience. I had…read morebeen doing to another practice for a couple years, but they seemed to be focused more on senior patients and it was a cumbersome process. My experience with Dr. Ephraim was 5-stars across the board! He was timely, there was never any waiting, and it was overall an extremely pleasant, easy process. There was no puff of air (argh! thank goodness), yet he had technology that I've never had used on me from other places that was able to show detailed digital images of my eyes and its cones, etc. He prioritized both the health aspect of my eyes as well as the accuracy and optimization of the prescription which was exactly what I was hoping for. There was no pressure to buy glasses or contacts from them, which I appreciated. Dr. Ephraim was also super-personable and funny, and his staff was efficient and professional. I paid out of pocket because I didn't like the experience I had elsewhere, and it was worth it, but he does take multiple vision insurance providers. Note: I did originally have trouble connecting with them for an appointment and didn't get an answer the first couple times. I called a bit earlier and that helped to finally connect.

Dr Ephraim has always been great. He's very kind, and he doesn't rush his patients. He will take…read morethe time to listen and to discuss whatever questions you have. He's also got a good sense of humor, which is always appreciated.

I have no issues with the quality of the examination or my in-person interactions with Dr. Glasser…read more(several appointments over many years). My issue is the way I was treated on my last visit by his assistant after it became apparent to her that I would not be buying frames or lenses from the practice. Her attitude immediately changed when I asked for a prescription. She stood up, went to ring up my copayment, and when she returned with the prescription she remained standing and was abrupt with me when I asked her to explain the change in my prescription, which was in a format I was not familiar with based on what I received in prior visits. I'm an educated person who wants to know how things work and what numbers actually mean, not merely to be told that "any qualified optician will understand" the prescription. I was made to feel stupid and like I was an imposition so I left and fed the prescription into ChatGPT which politely explained it to me, including how a progressive prescription can be translated into single vision distance and reading prescriptions, and what the numbers mean. AI was more polite and patient with me than the assistant. Despite having no issues with the doctor himself, I will not be returning to this practice in the future. The barriers between patients and medical information are evaporating due to AI. Doctors would be well advised to ensure that they and their staffs at least match the courtesy of ChatGPT. Update: In response to Dr. Glasser's comment, all I can say is that it would have taken his assistant less than a minute to sit down and politely explain to me the meaning of the numbers. Regardless of whether I'm dealing with an optometrist or a cardiologist, I take it upon myself to gain a thorough understanding of my heath, which is what ChatGPT provided and the assistant did not. If the doctor doesn't want to take constructive feedback on such a simple point, then I suppose that my decision to go elsewhere is the right one.

Stay away. He made stupid jokes ("Do you drive? Well, don't drive in my neighborhood!") although I…read moresee well enough to drive (within the legal limit). Generally made me feel bad about myself. In the end, I paid $270 for an eye exam (twice what nearby places are charging) and the prescription was incorrect. I went to a cheaper nearby place and got the correct prescription, but it cost me several weeks of eyeglasses that give me headaches and dizziness.

Just a quick review. Heads up for people. The one yelp photo's a bit inaccurate and they've moved 1…read moredoor down in the same plaza. First off: I love they have more space but now having gone twice i've noticed they seem 1-2 people short of being fully staffed. The glasses tech that was helping me was simultaneously helping another person and a couple other people seemed to be doing 2 or 3 different things at the same time. This can lead to some longer waits, but not too bad. Second: They had me in the system as showing up for new contacts, even though i'd ticked the "I wear glasses and contacts" button online. This one was solely for a new, maybe back-up pair of glasses. My dr. (Judith) seemed a bit confused that I didn't want that, since I really only wear contacts when at the beach, and had to change that on my chart. She also was very perturbed that, since my last visit, I hadn't followed up with a recommended glaucoma doc because of my "large optic nerves" and family history (a grandparent). She kind of scolded me for it, and to be frank, that seemed a bit unnecessary. Why? well, life got busy last year after my last visit in various ways. And, i'd been told there could be quite the wait with that doc. Also, every other eye doc i've seen has said to just "monitor it" however possible. Lastly, I think it's pretty normal to forget to follow up with a recommended specialist, especially when my vision is fine.

Lied about what my benefits actually were and cost me an extra $700+. Yes, they have a disclosure…read moresaying that they can't control what the insurance companies do, but waiting until after the return period is shady. I would be more than happy to return the glasses but the hassle free return end after 30 days and the bill came in today. I checked my insurance website and they were told back in November that they wouldn't cover the whole thing. So they could have told me back then instead of waiting till after the return period. Don't pay until after you get confirmation from your insurance company. Call them yourself. Don't let MyEyeDr tell you it's covered.
