So good! I'm a creature of habit what can I say... I get the supreme pizza and the big salad almost every time but that's not to say that everything on the menu is a culinary work of art. This isn't fast food so don't expect to pay a fast food price. It's fresh, and sourced from quality. You get what you pay for. Everything we've tried has been amazing, and flavorful. Portions are the perfect healthy size. The staff has been great, and friendly. Very accommodating. Slight mix up on my last order but Heather has gone above and beyond to rectify. Atmosphere could use some polishing (I'm assuming it's from the last "restaurant" that was in there) So, I'm not surprised knowing it's past. Hopefully they'll make it their own with time. Every time I go in it reminds me of its predecessor which was "interesting"... and I'll leave it at that . If you've thought about giving "Eye on I" a try I highly recommend it! Went in about 6:45pm. music was so loud it hurt my ears. Asked the young person to turn it down. "What?" she said. I said again a little louder can you please turn the music down it's really loud in here. she gave me a dirty look and never answered. I asked if it was possible to sit outside, are there heaters in the back. She mumbled something about ya maybe she could but no definite answee, plus, I could not hear her again over the speaker directly over my head. i was waiting for my friend to come because we heard the food was delicious. while I waited the person never once smiled or looked at me. and, never turned down the blaring music. I left and told my friend I heard there were some food trucks on the next block up. we went there instead for a friendly atmosphere and happier crowd where the vendors were happy to have our business And actually smiled. read more

This place was filthy, to go boxes in the floor, follow was dirty, back stock everywhere, flies everywhere, dog behind the food prep area. My pet peeve, no one greeted us when we walked in or when we were looking at the menu. Walked in looked at the menu for a few minutes and walked out. Do not recommend at all. Extremely poor customer service/people skills. Wasn't greeted when I walked in. Only after I said "hello," was I acknowledged. The gentleman who walked in after me was greeted though. Maybe he's a regular? Who knows. The food is way over priced for what it is. Got a pork sandwich with about 10 undercooked potato chips that were soggy. ($15 I believe). None of the other sandwiches came with sides. Charging $14 for a B.L.A.T is a bit excessive. The pork sandwich did have good flavor and the bread was delicious. I really loved their gnarly garlic Caesar salad. Cheese and dressing ratio on it was awesome. What did I for me was the German Shepard they had roaming throughout the kitchen where they are preparing your food. In my opinion, this is inappropriate in a facility handling food. Nothing about that should be considered cleanly. I love animals, especially dogs so no issue with that specifically, but in a kitchen preparing food for the public? No thanks. I won't be back, but check it out if you're into that kind of atmosphere. read more

My friend and I went for dinner as we were in the area and had heard good things from another friend who had dined here for lunch in April. We love Industrial Eats and expected something similar. Menu is listed on brown paper on the wall. I chose miso black cod which was somewhat pricey at $18. They do not serve beer and wine yet we were told so I saw a case of cans and bottles on the other wall. I was told they were not chilled- broken refrigerator? - but I would get a glass of ice. I chose the home made ginger turmeric drink that I thought was kombucha but was told was like kombucha just not as vinegary. There were very few tables inside and the outside patio was windy and chilly so we chose a not so nicely located two top. There were open garbage cans near us and I did see trays of tomatoes sitting out near us as other people have written. I did not see the dog. Food came and my cod was burned black and looked like they had taken 2 really small ends of fish and served those rather than using a more appropriately sized and shaped 2 pieces. I decided to bring it back and requested a less burned piece. The young man was polite and said he would make it right for me. He said they were instructed to burn it like that which I doubt. When the plate was returned the fish was hot and nicely grilled but the corn mash underneath was now cold. There was a small plastic serving of seaweed salad that about half filled the container and also looked like it may have been the bottom of the barrel. The half avo served with it was fresh and good. My friend's meal was very spicy and hot but she enjoyed it. She requested additional vegetables which they accommodated. We didn't stay long and drove home to Buellton and SB respectively. Lastly, at 2 am the following morning I awoke with a horrible case of food poisoning. Of course I cannot say with 100% certainty that it was caused by this meal. I contacted the management the next day and Heather was gracious and apologetic. read more

We were recommended here by LouBirds (eat there too), and oh my goodness, I am so very thankful. From the moment we opened the car door the delectable aromas welcome you in. The menu is written on butcher paper up on the wall and listed under three headings: pizza, not pizza, and sandwiches. We ordered a beet citrus salad and butternut squash pizza, and they were PERFECT. The beet salad had a garlic spread on the side which was intense for my partner, but I loved it. They loved the yogurt dip, so it was an easy compromise. The pizza had amazing dough and delicious toppings. As we ate, we both wished that we were hungrier so we could order more! We are out of towners, but we will absolutely be making the trip to eat here again. Do it, you won't regret it! read more

This little gem is amazing compared to Lompoc's tired and antiquated food scene. The menu is adventurous and eccentric. The plates will come out looking like high priced restaurant quality and for a fair price... That being said, I have to comment on the red sauce on pizzas. It's just too watery, which leaves your pizza soggy in the middle and toppings fall off as soon as you pick up a slice. It's really just sautéed cherry tomatoes. If it were blended and reduced the water content would be lower and pizza construction tighter. PLEASE do something about the sauce, the flavors are great but I can't pick up a slice! Fix this and I'll change my review to give stars, you deserve it! read more

If I were to rate the place on restaurant ambiance alone I'd rate it a 5 out of 5. As far as food goes, they're ok. I had their pepperoni pizza. One bite, everyone knows the rules. Pizza was a 5.6 out of 10 in my opinion. The taste was decent but all of the toppings literally slid off the pizza after I picked it up and fell onto my plate. The pizza was just too floppy to eat with just my hands. Visually the pizza looked amazing but it was too messy for me to eat comfortably especially with the toppings easily sliding off the pizza. All in all, I'd rate the Eye on I as a 3.5 out of 5. I'd come back for the surfer vibe but I'd personally get something else off of the menu since the pizza wasn't doing it for me. read more

Their staff seems lifeless and only talks to whoever they know. we waited in line for 5min as the chick covered in tattoos was talking to a friend for awhile. Once he left we stood at the register waiting to be acknowledged as she stared into the ceiling like we weren't there. Once my husband spoke up that we were ready to order she snapped out of her daze and took our order. The food was great, service absolutely sucked and. Out door seating lacks shade for most part. This is a good place if just going alone or with another adults. I wouldn't bring kids because lack of kid friendly food and lack of seating. After several friends recommended this restaurant my husband and I headed there for a Saturday night dinner. I ordered the beet/tahini dish and the Brussels sprouts (with bacon and pomegranates); he got the mushroom and Italian sausage personal pizza. If this review were only for my food, 5+ star review - the beets were served with/flavored with oranges and an orange-carrot purée that was amazing and worked so well together it was magic. Bread with tahini and a bit of yogurt was a perfect complement. And I love roasted Brussels with a sweet-salty flavor profile; I've had them done various ways, and this was a winner - perfectly cooked and seasoned with little punches of salty, meaty bacon and tart pomegranate arils. Unique and satisfying. I loved my meal. Hubby was less thrilled with his pizza. The very meaty mushrooms were more in competition vs complementary to the sausage; he said it was good but not great. It's my duty as an American to support local businesses as we come out of this pandemic . And I'm feeling pretty forgiving of a lot of challenges - everyone's been living in sweatpants literally and figuratively. But small things at Eye on I kept this from being a 5 star experience. I'm not a fan of food/food prep items (some dry goods, sheet pans etc) being out in heavily trafficked public areas. Between the music indoors and our masks, communication while we gave our orders was hard - and with the menus only being on the wall we couldn't even just point. Drink selections were limited - no diet soda and they are BYOB for booze. The outdoor dining area had 6 tables, some seats around a fire pit which was radiating some intense heat and about 1/3 of the space taken up with the music/sound system/6 people setting up. It was partially shaded and had pretty high bar stools at wine barrel tables - very cute, but with my legs dangling, the smallish tables, no wine to sip after the food was gone, and the loud (but fun) DJ-curated music making conversation hard, it didn't make us want to linger. I've got 3 months left of my time in Cali and could see myself going back. Lompoc is lucky to have unique, delicious options like this and it is a worthy dinner out that's not a chain and highlights local food and local talent. read more

This is one of my favorite places and The one place I eat at in Lompoc almost every week. They seem like they make everything from scratch. I love how their menu has weekly specials and I especially love their salad. The salad changes a little bit every week depending on what vegetables and fruits they have it it's always really fresh with some type of vinaigrette. I originally went there because of their falafel sandwich and my husband loves their gourmet tuna melt. They also have homemade kombucha that looks delicious. Seems like they rotate their specials depending on what the seasonal foods are for a while they had Chanterelle mushrooms on a lot of their pizzas and in their soup I believe. The people that work there are nice but they are typically pretty busy so when you first walk in you're not always really greeted so I would just keep that in mind. The inside kind of reminds me of an art house coffee shop with the art and the music. I think overall I like the creativity of the eatery and the fresh inventive food. I recommend them if you're vegetarian also. They always have some vegetarian options that are really good. read more

A very nice addition to our Lompoc restaurant scene. The mortadella sandwich was very flavorful. Mortadella with arugula. My stepdaughter had the pork belly with kimchi, Thai basil and ginger flatbread pizza. The pork belly was a bit thick and the fat made the crust soggy quickly but what flavor! Overall an excellent restaurant experience. As they continue to grow I have no doubt that this restaurant will continue to wow the population of Lompoc. read more

This place has some of the fanciest ingredients, yet the most casual vibe. They have a bit of a rougher edge to their staff, but it's all facade. Their menu is posted on big strip of butcher paper, a little unorthodox, but every item is absolutely delicious. If you've tried industrial eats in Buellton, this is similar, but better since it's in town. My usual go-tos are the Caesar salad and any of the pizzas. Good sandwich. Terrible customer service. No one said thank you to me. No one said anything to me when I walked out the door. I was the only customer there. The girl who rang me up told me to leave a tip when handing my credit card receipt. I have been a server for for many years and you never say that to a guest. The same girl plopped my food on the table and did not say anything to me until I said "Thank you" and she responded with"sure" and walked away. Not a warm welcome as you entered. Food was mediocre compared with Industrial Eats. My friend had the beet salad and her opinion was that it was confusing and not something she would get again. We ordered the pate plate which had some little gems on it but drenched in dressing which ruined the pate for us. I ordered the pizza that had peaches on it and was totally disappointed due to the lack of PEACHES. It had 4 very thinly sliced peaches on it and the Gorgonzola was so overpowering that the additional sweetness of the peaches was really needed..My boyfriend left his phone at the counter where you order and being that we were the only customers there, it wasn't brought over to us. It was only as we were leaving did he realize he didn't have it and approached the counter and they had it hidden under some papers which seemed pretty suspicious to all of us. Heather and the crew do a great job "crafting" each dish. Don't look for white linens and an overpriced wine list. Go with an open mind and palate for some unique pizza combos or an artisan sandwich. I'm seeing that I am not the only one with this experience. I like the food, really like that there are some vegan choices, love sitting in the back patio with live music....but the customer service is LOUSY! No one smiles or greets you, and they honestly act like you're putting them out by ordering. I sure would like to see this place survive but in Lompoc, you're not dealing with tourists...you're dealing with locals.
