This gentleman is honest, fair, quick, and a 10/10 serviceman! I brought in a Kirby vacuum and an older Singer sewing machine. He fixed the Kirby on the spot and had my sewing machine done within hours. Another local shop quoted me a higher price and a much longer wait. He beat both! Great service, fair prices, and someone I'd absolutely recommend. read more

Had a great experience at Albert's Vac & Sew under the new ownership! The new owner was extremely helpful, knowledgeable, and really took the time to pay attention to the little details. It's great to see a local Simi Valley business in good hands. Definitely recommend stopping by for any vacuum or sewing machine needs! read more

I brought my blow dryer into this vacuum and sewing shop on a long shot, and I'm so glad I did! Even though blow dryers aren't something they normally service, they took the time to look at it, diagnose the issue, and got it working again. They went above and beyond--friendly, honest, and genuinely willing to help. It's rare to find a business that cares this much about their customers, and I couldn't be happier with the experience. Highly recommended! read more

I brought my Dyson here and it was repaired and cleaned quickly. When I got home and used it, it stopped working after a minute. I called and he said to bring it right back, which I did. He found a minor thing that he fixed quickly, and it works great now. read more

Excellent vacuum repair. Was very pleased with my results. Highly recommend using Pop's. read more

I brought my Dyson in here a couple weeks ago because it wasn't working as well as it used to. Mike was very nice. Had a bit of issues trying to pick up due to the hours posted here are incorrect. All in all he cleaned it up nicely, and I'll be using it tomorrow. It's was pricey, but he said the motor was still good and he thought it would be worth it. Very small parking lot so it can be cramped. He is closed on Sunday and Monday, and opens at 10 not 9. read more

My 90 y/o Mom tried ordering her vacuum bags online to no avail. I looked up online for a local store and there was Alberts. Made one phone call, drove across town and walked out with exactly what Mom wants! Lovely service, wonderful phone help - all great!!! Thanks Alberts! read more

Steve was a life saver for me. I traveled over 200 miles to shampoo my mom's carpet and furniture. My shampooer stopped working. I called another place. But they told me that they wouldn't be able to fix it next week. But I told them I'm only around for the weekend. I called Steve. He said he would be able to get to it the next day. It was repaired very quick. Now the shampooer works like it was new. I highly recommend him. read more

Came in with a eureka vacuum that hadn't worked in about 2 years, steve was able to get the vacuum fixed and restored same day! Totally worth every penny, was able to save me from having to buy a new vacuum. Also the store manager Mr.Puma was very friendly and welcoming to a new customer. read more

Great ! Fixed our sewing machine and very helpful ! Efficient ,professional , friendly !!

I bought a vacuum part, and the gentleman advised me that the installation of the part would be a challenge, thus he explained & showed me how to do it, in other words he gave his time for me for a $5 part. So rare & thank you. Made my project so easy. read more

Albert does a really great job. We figure he saved us about $300 over buying a new vacuum cleaner! It took him a long time to get the right parts, but he did it. We are so appreciative. read more

Friendly, efficient business. They work on all kinds of brands. I like that it's locally owned. Explained to me what was wrong and what needed replacing. A bit pricey but better than buying a new Dyson! Thank you for a good job! read more

The kind of service you can only dream about nowadays. A wealth of information, follow through was great and the Mele product we purchased was far superior to anything we've ever used . Extremely happy and will definitely be a customer for life. read more

Mike @ Albert's vacuum center is great. Super kind. He completely cleaned up and fixed my vacuum and has it working like new. Do yourself a favor and support his family business and ignore that other big company name that always pops up when searching for vacuum repair. read more

Great service by awesome people! Had a Husky Overlock serviced. Very reasonably priced

I took our shark vacuum cleaner in to Albert's because it would shut off mid use and lose suction. Had to wait 10 days for the repair, but it was well worth it! My vacuum works like brand new now! Price is reasonable and cheaper than a new vacuum for sure! Highly recommend Albert's!! So glad there are still honest repair folks like him out there! read more

These people really are focused on customer service. We've had them service our Vaccum cleaner and sewing machines. Took our Dyson in last week for a carpet roller repair. read more

Great customer service, quality work and very good prices! Albert is an extremely friendly man and he really cares about repairing your item in a quick and timely manner. He truly wants to make sure that the repair is as specified by the customer. read more

I love this place. I mostly go there for sewing machine repair because Marty is the BEST, and the other sewing and vac store (I won't mention names, but also on LA Avenue) sucks. The owner there doesn't want to repair your stuff, only sell you something new and no matter what you bring in it's always "not worth" fixing. Al and Marty are NEVER like that. I'm sure they have advised people who really DO need to consider something new, but they aren't pushy or obnoxious. They are both a pleasure to deal with. If only Marty could be there more often (he's needed in too many places) but I'm just grateful he hasn't retired. The same for Al. May you live to 110 and never close shop! Connie Gombert read more

I have been going here for years to service my Kirby. Great people and always helpful. Thanks for always taking care of me.

The nicest business owner out there. I recommend anyone go to Albert for all their vacuum needs/repairs before they even think about buying a new one. Thanks Albert! read more

Mike was straight forward and honest and did exactly what he said he would. Now my Dyson vacuum is pretty much like new. Quality work. Fair price. And he's an all around nice guy, too! I always prefer to do business with the smaller 'Mom & Pop' family owned places. Mike is a fine example. Thanks! read more

Albert's is a great, long-established Simi small business. It's been in town for over 34 years. I bought a vacuum from there nearly 20 years ago and have had it tuned up there. The service is personal and professional and you will not find anyone more knowledgeable. If you are considering shopping at one of the big chain stores, don't do it. You'll get a great deal with personal follow-up service from Albert's. read more

i have had several good experiences over the years with getting vacuum repairs here. The owner is very helpful and has recently saved me from a costly repair by explaining an easy fix to my vacuum's frayed cord. Would definitely recommend his business. read more

Alberts is a tiny shop off L.A. Ave in Simi. If you're not careful, you'll drive right by the small parking lot. Needed a tune up on our Dyson. Considering it's a $500 vacuum we wanted to keep it running rather than buying a new one. Albert's got us a quote in less than 24 hours and finished the job in less than 2 days. Very pleased with the service and professionalism. So far the repairs seem great and we're hoping to get another couple years out of our vacuum thanks to the folks here. Happy customer! read more

Someone at our home attempted to fix the vacuum cleaner when it's effectiveness dropped, but then we smelled a burning smell and decided it might be time for a professional to have a look. Plus, this guy has a cat (so don't let the cat out, and no other pets inside, sorry). Kitty kitty. Our family was pleased that the job was done for a good price and took oh, less than a week. It is all good. I shall try and report back once we've tested it/used it again. read more

I have taken my Dyson in for tune ups, but this time it was broken and I knew it was broken. Mike could have easily told me to leave it and charged me to fix it up. He didn't. He told me to leave it and he would see if he could have it taken care of under warranty. There are 0 dollars to be made for him, but that is how honest people run a business. While there I noticed a Miele canister. My wife had been thinking of getting one and so we had priced them out at $299 at the big box retailers. Mike had the same vacuum for the same price. He also included the refill bags/filters in the deal. Big box isn't doing that for you. I watched him interact with other customers while I was there and he takes the time to make sure each one has his full attention and gets the proper information. I don't know how many people take to Yelp for vacuums, but if you do and you see this...this is your place. read more

Went to see about buying a vacuum, brought my wife's Shark vacuum that stopped suction just to show him what I had. After talking to Mike for about 30 minute about different options available it was decided that the Shark was actually the best fit for us. So we left it with Mike who called the next day and said it was fixed. Only charged me a minimum fee and it works good as new read more

I took my Oreck Magnesium vacuum in to have it evaluated. The owner was extremely courteous. He told me that he would call me once he figured out what the issue was. He called me the following day and explained the issues and the cost to replace what was needed. I highly recommended bringing your vacuum here. He also has a variety of used vacuums to purchase as well as many accessories. read more

I've used Albert's for over 15 years and he is an honest man to work with, very customer friendly and cost conscious to the benefit of the customer. I have been using Albert's for 7 years. They are extremely reasonably priced (really too cheap for repairs and services). The service is great, always on time and what I would consider 100%. My equipment works like new, if not better every time I pick it up. He has been servicing my vacuums and I've had my old Singer industrial sewing machine there a couple times for a tune up. I bought two new vacuums yesterday, both were cheaper than I was quoted at Kingdom, and both were carefully selected for my needs and price range by Mike. One top of all this, Mike is one of the friendliest business owners in Simi Valley. Always there with a smile and always eager to help. - NOTE, THE STORE MOVED... SAME PARKING LOT, DIFFERENT SPOT. read more

It's been a while since I was in the store (the old one on the corner in this small strip mall) and I knew where it had moved because I am always looking around as the passenger in our car. My husband did not know the store had moved, but it was really easy to find in the same strip mall (much smaller space) right next to Der Wienerschnitzel. Unfortunately, many folks do not know he is very close to his old space! He is exceptionally helpful and if you need vacuum bags, don't count on finding them at Target or Wal Mart.
