I have rented off and on at this location for over ten years. Ricky the manager was there for me from the beginning of my involvement with Extra Space until the end of my stay . Over the years Ricky was always friendly , knowledgable and thoughtful. I am a traveling musician and would sometimes get a reminder phone call from him when my rent was due if I happened to have forgotten to do it . Hence I have picked up my phone to hear his voice in just about every state in the U.S. , Canada and most of Europe. I have the distinct feeling that he actually cares about his customers and their items in his care. Ricky is a real asset to the property and a significant reason for my comfort and confidence in storing my items there. I can't say enough good things about this place!! The facility is super clean and safe. I constantly see managers roaming the grounds, cleaning and checking in on customers. I use my unit to store product for work which can sometimes be very tricky when I receive a shipment of inventory. This past weekend a monstrous amount unexpectedly arrived which was very difficult for me to deal with by myself. Ricky the manager completely stepped up (like he always does!) and helped me immensely. I really don't know what I would've done without him! It was absolutely something he did not need to do but he was unbelievably kind along with helping me and assured me the situation was going to work out. I have rented space from Extra Space Storage on several occasions over the last few years for both personal and business reasons and I highly recommend this place if you value cleanliness and safety! My experiences with other facilities do not match up to the service that I got from Extra Space - right down to very pleasant and attentive management. If I had any questions or needed assistance they were right on it. Access to the units are easy and there are almost always carts available right by the entrances so you don't have to search for them or leave your I.D. at the front desk. DO NOT RENT FROM HERE! Once you are a renter, they will jack up your rate by 55% after a few months!!!!!!!!!!! Not cool, so now we have to move all our stuff outta there asap. This sucks!!! They gave me the excuse that because I signed up for the special web price right after they opened, they would have to raise my rates often to get me up to market value. So now they are sold out, they will jack up my rates until I am at market value - and imply that I'm an idiot for not being ok with that. I'm sorry, if was one of the first ones to move in after you had to rebuild from a fire, I should be rewarded for being a good paying customer every month. read more

This Extra Space Storage location is run very well because of Ricky, the manager! He has always been helpful, available and reliable! The building is really clean and well lit. My experience was great! Simple, easy and quick to get a unit. Talked to a rep, made appt to see unit, made reservation for unit while i checked out their competitors, went back and took the unit all within a week . The reservation is good for 10 days. They had excellent follow up on my reservation too Very very clean grounds - new storage bldg , elevator has always worked Doesn't smell like some storage places and great access hours . Nice facility. Always clean. Great customer service. Can get a little weird after hours with locals/neighbors but they're harmless.

I just finished up using this facility for the past month. They give the first month free so I actually didn't have to pay anything for my time here. Pretty amazing. The people that work here are super nice and the unit was very easy to access 24 hours. I know Venice can be dicey but I always felt very safe here at any time of the day. The manager Ricky is the absolute best! First of all I think this guy isn't human because there's no way he sleeps! He's ALWAYS there! He's always helpful, courteous, respectful, responsive, & just a genuinely nice person. It's crazy to think there are still people like this that don't get irritated or make you feel rushed to talk to them. I also would like to hire him if he ever has a day off to clean my place because he keeps that place immaculate I even see him meticulously picking up any tiny debris in the parking lot! This spot is clean, friendly and so easy. I have rented 3 units here thus far. They also do what's called a hold harmless that allows you to accept shipments to the unit when you are not there. I wouldn't go anywhere else! read more

Misleading advertising. Doesn't honor advertised rates. Plays games with availability/inventory and leads you to storage units that don't have specials on them. Terrible business practice! read more

Okay, so storage is not your heart's upscale desire. But sometimes a person just needs storage space -- especially at the rental rates around Venice. If that's you, you can't do any better than Extra Space. Location is great with easy access heading E or W on Venice Blvd. The facility was remodeled about 3 years ago, so it's comfortable and clean, several elevators. Ricky staffing the office is friendly, knows what's available, handy at the computer, and how to do the business end. Though he and his partner are often out cleaning and patrolling the property (a good thing!), they're easily reached by cell and quick to return. One day we had not quite set the lock properly; they noticed while patrolling and called us that same day -- great service! Only one nit -- sometimes when busy there is a shortage of platform dollies. Overall, 4.5 stars at least. You can check out internet rates to save a few $. read more

This storage location is amazing. They are accommodating, appreciative of their customers, and treat you with respect. Ricky Corado manages the location and is a super guy. These guys are great. They keep the place spotless and are constantly walking around the facility keeping an eye on things. We ship a lot of stuff into and out of our unit and the management always goes above and beyond to help us out with UPS, etc. Best experience we've had at a storage facility by far! read more

This facility​ is clean and modern. I hate how they give you a good rate to get you in, then, once your belongings are all neatly stored, they begin raising the prices. Just know that they will add MANDATORY insurance charges immediately and your rates will be jacked up substantially. My rates went from $163 on move-in to $229 in just 15 months. What are you gonna do? Move your stuff out? They know how unlikely that is so they can get away with rate hikes as they please. The required insurance is absurd since I have several policies that would cover any and all losses in such a facility. read more

Increased the monthly payment without notice. Placed a lock on unit...payment was made then unable to remove the lock over the weekend. I had an emergency situation and was unable to enter my unit. Very bad for business to not have an after hour or weekend manager. read more

I have never seen a storage facility this clean. Terri, who showed me all around and helped me find the right unit for us, was fantastic. She was very patient with all my questions. Access to the units is perfect. The carts are easy to manage. Lights on motion detectors and magnetic doors on timers are all plusses. The large roll up doors make loading in super easy.
