Extra Space wants me to call the number which is to the facility and management my issue is with. The response I received was that ExtraSpace does require a receipt for all transactions, but in my case, the manager did not want to give one. Anyways, calling a manager at this local won't resolve the issue because he failed to resolve it in the first place. All I wanted was a receipt in my possession for money given as a deposit. Clearly, he wanted to do something with the money. Now, I'm fighting with the 3rd party involved, StorageTreasure to return money they took for the sale of the unit at ExtraSpace. Storage Treasures says they have reached out twice without a return call. Again, show misdeeds. Management is being vindictive. My experience here isn't a good one, and I would not recommend dealing with management here. read more

I rented for several years and Patricia was/is very helpful in setting me up and also suggesting that I rent by the year as that guaranteed me the very best rate! I then moved out as I was moving out of state and she was extremely helpful, friendly and concerned that my total experience had been positive and it was because of her and other staff. Zoe was courteous, kind , professional, and knowledgeable of her job. The company does need to find out why they raised the storage fee so high and so often. I left the previous Extra Space Storage due to the condition, upkeep, price, lighting, and unconcerned manager on the 19th. The manager never returned calls, followed up, or kept her word to get the light fixed that had a wire hanging. I only gave a 5 star because Zoe was helpful. I am certainly paying attention to the prices and upkeep. All storages should have rat traps because of other tenants. It.'s hot and rats travel and migrate. That is the reason I didn't rent at Cube Smart. There are no rat traps, but decent prices read more

Renters beware that the rate you sign up for can be changed at any given time. I was paying $99 a month for about 6 months. This last month, my rate unexpectedly went up to $188. Called for an explanation and was told the rate I signed up for was the web value and was subject to change at any time and so it did with no notice in to meet current market value of a storage unit. This is the most dishonest, deceptive, and distrustful business practice I've ever witnessed. I'm very disappointed by this. Time to get my stuff out I guess so I can't be jerked around anymore by this type of crookery. read more

Like many others, just 4 months after moving into a unit they raised the monthly rental fees almost 50%. Nowhere does it state the price you agreed upon is a temporary or limited time however it does not state your pricing is guaranteed for a certain term but raising almost 50% (in my case, $240 up to $340) per month is entrapment. The time, effort and resources needed to relocate would makeost people except it...basically extortion. read more

So at first, the staff was somewhat friendly, but once we were signed up, they came off stuck up, and completely reluctant to be helpful. Both my boyfriend, who is a current renter and another previous renter had they're storage units broken in on more than one occasion, both times it was relatively right after they dropped off brand new shoes, laptops, bikes, things of value.. more than once! And nothing was done... On top of that there was no referral bonus either, which I 5hink is the least they could do after the robberies, with no consequences meant. Other than that. The place is relatively clean, there's not good lighting restroom access only during office hours and you need permission.. but that's presumably due to general issues regarding the population/ environment the location is in. If there was lighting and maybe a little bit friendlier staff I'd def recommend.. ‍ read more

Do not rent a storage space from these people. They are thieves and every time I went to visit my storage unit my things were not in the same place where I left them. Plus my unit was very hot with terrible lighting. It gave me the creeps every time I had to go there. read more

ExtraSpace initially rents a storage locker at a competitive rate. Then, once you are moved in, they steadily, repeatedly and fairly rapidly raise the rate. Within a few years, I was paying more than double what I paid when I moved in. (For a 10 by 10 by 10, the rent went from $80/month on move in to over $171/month over a period of several years.) Finally, I tired of this unethical business practice and moved out yesterday. If I ever rent another storage locker, I will rent from an ethical self-storage company (not ExtraSpace). Before moving in I will try to get assurance in writing that either the rate will stay constant, or a detail of how much and when the future rate increases will be. read more

So far the experience has been good. I rented from them at the first of the month. The light bulb was out in the unit and the agent I rented from said they would have it changed. I haven't been back yet to check. The place was clean and tidy, no trash etc. floating around. I was just reading other reviews about items moved or stolen... I'm making a trip there tomorrow with a different lock..and I am a little concerned. read more

The service was initially professional and the space was adequate for our needs. However after we moved our belongings into the unit, my brother needed frequent access to various tools and items we were trying to sell. He is constantly monitored and badgered while on the premises and treated like a criminal. We pay what I feel is a lot of money for a non-climate controlled shed and should not be questioned or suspect as to when we need to access our belongings. read more
