It's Public Storage so manage your expectations…read more Place seems clean, does get busy, but really not bad for a storage place. My main gripes are sometimes people leave the carts somewhere mane their unit so when you go to drop/take stuff there are no carts. Annoying but not the end of the world. Wish employees would find the carts and put them back but also wish people were better about putting them back themselves. Also wish it didn't cost so much. I have neighbors in my community who have left due to the ever increasing prices. Start at $99 and a year later it's over $200.

And at the same time they were advertising the same size units to new people for less than I was originally paying!! Secondly, no one is ever at the office so it's very difficult to contact anyone. On move-in day Tania assisted in filling out paperwork, giving me a lock and helping set me up with my unit. She was very kind fast and efficient, which is much appreciated. I'm moving almost my entire studio apartment into a 10x5 unit. It all fits with plenty of room to spare. I recommend this Public Storage and its staff for an easy and fast move in, as well as a peace of mind knowing your possessions are safe.

My mother and I had a terrible experience with this storage space, which was so unfortunate because…read morewe live only a half mile from the facility and had to go with another company. We made an appointment to look at the spaces, but when we arrived, the manager did not show up and they do not have regular office hours. We attempted to complete the rental process online but made an error on the size of the space we wanted. This should not have been a big issue. We asked to cancel the reservation and re-book the rental, transferring the one-time application fee to the new space. This is where we couldn't get help. No matter who I called, I could not get anyone to transfer the 29 dollar rental fee to the new space. I was told repeatedly that I would receive a call back from someone authorized to do this. I never got a call back, even after repeated calls. We ended up giving up, forfeiting the 29 dollars and going with Extra Space Storage, which is considerably further from our home, but who had the best customer service experience and the best online rental system. It's unbelievably bad service to avoid helping a potential customer that will pay rent for months or years over a 29 dollar fee, one that we were happy to pay and simply needed to be transferred! I'd give zero stars if I could.

Naturally I had no idea where to even begin or what to look for in a storage facility, but I looked around and SoCal Self Storage in Northridge seemed like it was decent so we gave them a shot. You can call them on the phone if you have any questions like we did before you rent a unit, or if you're confident in what you want/need you can rent online. I'm old-fashioned so I like to see what I'm getting into before paying for anything. We arranged to have a tour around the facility to check out a couple of different sized units. I'm extremely grateful they took the time to do this to help determine how big or small our unit should be - it really eased my worries and I got to see how well-maintained the facility is. Even the unit we chose was clean already! They were more than patient with all my dumb questions and made signing up a breeze. They offer inexpensive insurance if you want more peace of mind for your belongings, they have locks and moving boxes if you forget to bring your own, there's complimentary carts/dollies to use at the facility, there's plenty of on-site parking, there's security patrols after hours, the elevators and first floor hallways are accessed via code so it's even more secure, all units are individually alarmed and climate-controlled, and they even offer free water bottles in the main office if you're working up a sweat. Overall we've had the unit for months now and I'm very satisfied with SoCal Self Storage. If you need a storage unit, don't hesitate to give them a chance!
