Absolute horror story! Please if you are ready this please pay special attention. We hired this company to move our belongings from Washington state to Arkansas. While being on the road they called me, out of the blue requesting more money, being on the road there was no way way we could pay through their app that they wanted us to pay through. So we had to have a friend pay what they requested spur of the moment. Several weeks later the truck arrived in front of our house. It was only the driver of the truck! absolutely no help came with him! Myself and a neighbor who was friendly, and did not know me at all, unloaded the semi truck ourselves! the driver of the truck was crying saying he was overworked. over half our belongings were destroyed! Keepsakes were cracked and broken, along with my wife's New Hoveround wheelchair that was completely destroyed! 3 commercial vacuum cleaners were completely broken in half! After unloading the semi truck ourselves they requested another 2000 dollars before leaving. The manager (ASHLEY) called me and said she would take care of our broken furniture and keepsakes through the claims department, and now is not reachable. Have sent numerous e-mails and voice mails and these people will not respond to you whatsoever, hoping you will go away! I am currently seeking legal counsel, to get compensation for the disaster they had put me and my wife through. This is a new Yelp page. They shut down the other one from all the bad ratings they had. I used them and they finally sent us our stuff after two months. Tons of stuff was broken. I saw them rolling a box of China off the truck, Crystal glasses were broken, and my bed was usable afterwards. Here is my last review 8 months ago, my rating did not change: Titan Van Lines, Is there anything I could do to assist you with the delivery of my possessions? All I want is a positive outcome to our business with "Titan Van Lines". However, my experience has been consistent with the other negative reviews I've read. So, naturally I fear for the final results. * Its been over 45 days since the first available delivery date. * A set date of delivery has yet to be determined. * The final rate is near triple the estimate we were originally given. It might have been a bait estimate, which doesn't instill a trusting relationship. * Any issues I have are only met with a "sorry", and no reasonable solutions are contributed on Titan's behave. I've called several times asking for a manager, but they will not speak with me. Although, emails have been responsive and I have spoken with a nice woman who trys to be helpful, kind and understanding, but she isnt able to get anything accomplished. She says, "they are experiencing setbacks, sorry". I should not need to pay this much money for such extreme setbacks. Seemingly, NO ONE there is taking accountability. Their compensation for late delivery is only $30 per day after 30 business days. If I am late to the drop they charge $50 per hour or over $500 per day. "Titan Van Lines" sales team estimated a bit over a couple thousand for my move, but when the driver came he adjusted the bill and wanted to charge me over triple. I found that was insulting and I asked him to leave. Later he called me with a "Grand Total, Flat Rate" that seemed more reasonable. I excepted, but he failed to include the deposit in his "grand total". He also added more charges on the back end after loading. The driver even told me after he was close to done loading my things he wouldn't be able to load ALL of my possessions. He told me to "start making choices" of what I needed him to load and what to leave behind. They still had half the truck he wasnt using! He told me he had another house to pick up with that truck. I clearly didnt feel like a priority customer and it's unacceptable by any customer standards. Furthermore, I find it appalling that the company isn't doing their best to remedy the issue or compensate me in this matter. We felt taken advantage of during a time of vulnerability. One positive thing I will say is that they did an excellent job wrapping and loading my goods. Really, I could only hope the warehouse employees and subcontracted moving company will be as careful with the handling. Bottom line, we deserve to have our property delivered with better financial compensation, beyond the inappropriate $30 per day, which I never thought would be a plausible factor. A more reasonable compensation would be to forgo of the whole delivery drop payment entirely. They are a complete scam business that baits you with a low quote ($1,200) and then end up upcharging you a ridiculous amount ($3,000+). In addition, the delivery which should have been included in the initial moving had an additional cost of ($1,000). Not to mention, they knew they were delivering to NY added on an additional cost because they needed to rent a UHaul truck for an additional $350. SCAM ALERT(URGENT)!!!!! I was quoted for a $3200 move and ended up paying over $6500. DOUBLE the price even after I decided to sell my dining room table, entertainment set and sectional couches, patio table and chairs. The movers came and tried to raise the shipping cost twice after halfway packing my furniture in the loading truck. The price over the phone was $3200 after going through the inventory . The price increased to $5500 once the movers arrived and inspected my items in the house. The price then increased to $6700 after halfway through the move. Then the we're trying to increase the price to over $8500 when they they told me I had large furniture and big boxes and i was going to go over a certain cubic feet in their truck. Keep in mind i took my dining room table and four chairs, ottoman, and entertainment set off the original inventory when they arrived.They refused to put my couches, book case and other patio furniture in there when I told them I would not sign a revised qoute for $8500. This is just bad business and I will be reporting this company to the BBB also. They initially provide you a low qoute to lock you in. Do not give them a deposit or you will never be refunded if you decide to cancel with in 48 hours.
