It was 2-3 days after a rain storm and had movers move my things out my unit when they noticed that my Cali king board was damp, my black hybrid pillow top mattress was destroyed along with other minor items. I immediately called the office ( was a few min from closing) explained what happened to the Asst. Manager, asked him if he wanted to come down and look at items ( as they were loaded on truck when realized, but easily accessible to come look at) he advised to take pic and send to claims dept. Fast forward I did and that was even more of a nightmare!! The company uses a 3rd party insurance who is HORRIBLE!! The adjuster never called or follow up with me,until I went through there corporate office. It has been months and with numerous calls, claim was denied ( found out through random email). There was one good thing out of this story the office manager ( can't remember his name at the moment) was great he came down to my unit assessed it and wrote me a letter acknowledging there was water damage but not sure how it got there.. We both visually seen the crack in the foundation over my unit and they took no accountability, even with letter !!! According to extra space that's not covered, (So wha the H^LL is) and per adjuster " she's not sure my things were really stored there". ( Really absurd ) And she never replied back to me. Again till this day 2 months later I have never received physical paperwork from these people about my claim. Absolutely NOTHING!! None the less beware of storing your belongings here!! No accountability!! Will be following up in smalls claims court

We have used other facilities in the past and this is our favorite by far! The manager here, Jim, is also extremely helpful. When we first starting to rent units, as I was cleaning out my parent's house, Jim did a wonderful job recommending what size units we would need. He also helped arrange for me to rent several units near each other in the huge building; this made moving things in so much easier. Now that we are starting the move out process, he has been equally helpful and kind, which I think says a lot!

There was a female attendant there today who refused to help my husband and myself and she was very nasty in her expressions and words. She initially told my husband that she was not on th clock when he asked her a simple question. He tried to follow up to apologize for disturbing her and she turned her back to him and said that she was talking to someone else. When I went to her to ask about the elevator, she refused to answer and instructed me to ask inside because she was not going to tell me where the elevator was. When I asked what her problem was and did she have this nasty attitude due to my race. She said that she does not deal with rude people. As I was being polite to her all along, I replied than she must have a hard time dealing with herself. I have never in my entire life encountered anyone as rude as she was! I will never return to this location and would not recommend it to anyone. Simply awful!

Told me to come back at 7am and they could install. 15 miles drive each way. 7 am- "I don't have the parts, 2 or 3 weeks out booking". Call Uhaul, and the best they can do is I go to the place (15 miles away) they claim they don't have the parts, and pick up parts and bring them to the LARGE Uhaul place 1 mile away from my house within 1.5 hours and they'll install. I call bullshit. They told me 2X "Online reservations don't mean anything". I paid for a service online. I got a confirmation, online. Your phone line says "go online". Several workers tried to be helpful, the woman at the desk did not try at all. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

It is not climate controlled, which was disclosed to me, but they said it had heating and a dehumidifier. On December 1, I received a message that they are doubling my rent in 30 days, which is clear bate and switch, and shady business practices. They know it's challenging and expensive to move so they attract you with a lower rate and take advantage of you once you are moved in. They also require a 30-day move out notice so I have to tell them now that I'm moving out without having a moving company lined up if I want to avoid the rent hike. I now have to coordinate a move during the holidays. I strongly recommend avoiding this place. See photo below. For reference my rent was $46 before. When I called to complain, I was told that a computer decided that the rent went up!?!?

The PODS experience was almost exceptional. The drivers who dropped off the storage unit were…read moregreat, and put it in a trickier position than they would have liked (which we had paid extra for). I did notice a roach scampering out of the pod when I was loading it, but everything I had was in closed garbage bags or sealed crates so that wasn't really an issue. (I did put the stuff coming back out in a holding area to make sure I'd cleared out the stink bugs and anything else that was along for the ride before moving it into the house). We stored stuff for six months during the renovation and when the POD was empty we put in for a pick-up. This is where it got dodgy... the first driver refused to pick up the pod and we rescheduled, and the second driver also refused to pick up the pod- I don't think he got out of the truck or even looked at the site. I had a long conversation with customer service and they were excellent, and proactively made sure we wouldn't be billed for beyond the original pickup date. Finally Etson showed up on try #3 and was able to navigate the tractor lift to get the unit up and loaded. In summary- watch out for bugs, and PODS is a viable short-term on-site storage option.
