They made it easy to sign up for a storage space. I was able to do that over the phone and quickly received a document to e-sign. The on-site office helped me understand how to get through the gate and where to find my locker. It was clean and on-site security is excellent. We are moving to Morgan Hill next month and we needed storage space. I looked up some options and decided to go with this outfit. Reserving the space on line was easy and super user friendly. Once complete we were sent clear instructions and expectations. Once we arrived everything was clean well lit and seemed very secure. Our space was reserved and had a tag on with new lock awaiting us. They even made sure to cut one side of package on the lock for easy removal. If you ever had to try and pry open one of these without scissors it's virtually impossible. Carmen (the property Manager) came out later to greet us and made sure we had all we needed. She was super friendly and genuinely seemed to care and made us feel very welcome, like we've been friends for a while. If this is an indication how Morgan Hill is going to be....then count us in ! read more

Having used storage a few times in my life, I definitely felt this one to be the most secured. And you pay for it! I have it 4 stars only because of the cost (which includes insurance). That said, I was able to book completely remotely with a very helpful local employee, move in, handle my business, and pretty much move out without dealing with anyone. I say pretty much, because the one time we went through the gate without entering our code, 10 minutes later a gal came out asking for ID. Some alarm triggered to our unit w/o the gate code alarming. I was taken back in the moment as it wasn't the friendliest approach, BUT, dang, my stuff was definitely secure! In attempt to close out the day prior as instructed, it was already taken care of, which was relieving. After giving this 4 stars, I have now changed it to 3. In reviewing my final billing, I called to question the $241 charge over my usual $187 and they said rent went up and they sent me some letter. I wasn't even here for 6months and was renting a 5x10. This is ridiculous pricing without true authority or purpose. As an update in response to their feedback, I have dropped this rating to 2 stars. Everyone can now see I was increased 33% from April to August. They acknowledge below you're due for an increase by month 4-6 and hit me at exactly 4 months, so expect this ridiculous pricing right as most of you are comfortably moved in. I would have been pissed if this was my new long-term rent. I have been through multiple storages and all of them serve right to increase, and do at 5% or so annually! This place is a rip off... $241/month for a 5x10!! read more

Extra Storage Space provided me with a great storing experience this past year. I was in awe with the great selection of locker sizes as well as the cleanliness of the lot and buildings. There was no struggle getting into the lot as they provided a great range of times that I was allowed to access the lot. I was also very impressed with the size of my unit for the price I was paying. Compared to my previous storage unit, Windmill Mini-storage, this was a major upgrade for a better price. Mr. Jesse made the rental process very easy and the cancellation process was super efficient thanks to his help. I have recommended Extra Storage Space to my friends in Morgan Hill and if I ever move back to the area, I will definitely be storing my items here again! read more

Just wow. Richard is something else let me tell you. So let me start off by saying every single time I have spoken to Richard he will say the price went up! Lmao even if it's a couple days later ohh so the price went up...that's his favorite line. I got the smallest unit in April. It was around 100 then 20 for insurance. By July it had already increased to 156 plus 40 dollars in insurance. I didn't pay for a little over a month because my check was late. They charged 150 dollar fee and said they were already trying to auction my stuff!! They also said they sent a a notice that they raised the price through the mail but I never got anything which is what other reviewers said. They told me they increase the price every 3 months. BY 100 DOLLARS!!? So I was paying 200 for the SMALLEST UNIT. also when I moved in the lady said that they have to lock the unit because homeless are sleeping in them. There was also a homeless guy asking me for a ride out when I went to check on my stuff lol. Richard is rude and condescending. Depending on who you speak to they will tell you different things. I can't believe they can justify raising prices 100 dollars in 3 months. Don't go here. It's not worth it. There are just as nice storage units for cheaper and you don't have to worry about prices raising every minute. One more thing..Richard told me he would give me a deal for 249!! To unlock my storage unit and let me move my stuff out!! Woo-hoo. Scam artist. So he told me this on the 26th over the phone. I come in one Wednesday the 31st and guess what...ohhhh...THE PRICE WENT UP!HAHAHHAHA but don't worry. He was nice enough to take off the 15 dollar fee they charged me in the FIVE days that I spoke with him. I'm sorry it's just ridiculous. Go anywhere else but this place. We left all of our furniture and belongings here for a few months while we were moving. There was never any issues which just made our time here very nice. It is super clean and everyone is very respectful. I would definitely recommend these storages for anyone looking into renting out some. CARMEN IS THE BEST!!!..I literally went in there to ask a couple questions too try and figure out what I needed. She not only answered my questions but made me feel incredibly comfortable and at ease. She helped me figure out what size I needed based on my needs and showed me two different units. I walked in confused and unsure and just needed info but with Carmen there I was able to walk away with a new storage unit, a new lock and feeling great about the process. My heart has been broken for months. My daddy passed away, suddenly of heart disease at the end of June. I live 2 hours away, here in Morgan Hill. I am his only child, in deep grief and dealing with his extensive estate including many valuable collectibles. I decided to get a storage unit near my home so I can sort and mourn at my own pace. Extra Space Storage online made it SO easy to rent the right size unit I needed for all of dad's stuff. I had a VERY affordable unit in minutes. I even got to buy the lock online. With everything on my mind, easy is so relieving. They texted me my confirmation and gate code. I was able to just drive over and begin moving stuff into the unit. When I arrived I had a tag with my name on it and inside my unit was my brand new lock. And you know that thick government-like plastic they package items in at times? You need a blow torch to open it? Well the manager cuts the end open for you so you just pull and it is open. Again...right now, anything that helps me is invaluable to me. The other day I got the honor of meeting the on-site manager. She was courteous, consistent and professional. She takes immaculate care of the facility, is super approachable. After my online renting process and meeting an actual person...I could not recommend this place enough. They have tight security, the manager is on-top of all processes. This makes me feel so good about storing all of my father's valued items there. My family and I have rented from this location for many many years and Carmen, who is the on site manager for this location, has always treated us like family. She is great! We recently moved out of our unit and we accidentally left a hitch behind and she contacted us to inform us. She held onto it for about a week and didn't charge us a fee or anything! Needed a storage unit for a few months while I remodeled. Then while remodeling, I needed more space to store more stuff. The price to get a bigger unit was decent, but then I would have to move all my stuff into the new unit. And since this was just temporary it would have been such a hassle and take time I didn't have. So Carmen (the manager) did some magic and found that if I just got a second smaller unit it would be actually cheaper than moving into a new bigger one. Saved me so much time, money and from having to lug all my stuff out again and back into another unit, just to have to move it again in a month when my remodel was done. Awesome service, super clean, secure spaces. Will definitely use again if needed. I now have only the one unit left because my remodel is almost done. I might even just keep the unit since my house feels so much better without all the junk in it! read more

The property manager at Extra Space Storage in Morgan Hill, CA made herself available, she responded quickly and was accommodating, and she treated me like family. She really made my entire stay at this facility smooth sailing. If you can afford it, I'd say go for it. The only thing I didn't like was the recent unexpected storage rent raise during the pandemic, as their rates are already high compared to other facilities in Santa Clara County. I would have stayed if they wouldn't have raised the rates during a pandemic. I didn't think that was right. I found a storage for half the price in Santa Clara but I can already tell that the manager there does not provide the same high level of service as Carmen at Extra Space Stoarge. - Heidi read more
