Here's a +/- look at my experience over the past year: + When I've needed help with my storage unit door not opening, a team member was onsite and able to help me. - It took a total of three times because the issue kept happening, which was a bit frustrating. + It's a large facility with a few different entrances, a parking lot, and a few places you can pull your car into for loading - Currently, 2 of the 3 garage doors are broken, causing a major backup for people needing to load. One door has been broken for over a month, and the second one broke last week. + The communal hallways and spaces seem well-kept and clean. - The bathrooms can get to be in pretty rough shape, and don't seem like they're checked often. + There are tons of storage units of all shapes and sizes on-site and the cost per month seems reasonable - It would be handy to have a bit better signage for where the different number units are, bathrooms, etc. I'll continue to keep my storage unit here, but would love to see issues like garage doors and bathrooms improve!

I will admit initially, I wasn't happy with the being unable to contact the location. I would call, leave a voicemail, someone would call me, I'd be unable to answer the phone, call back and get a voicemail again! LOL I was supper frustrated, but we found out that they accidently had the phone going directly to voicemail. Problem solved! Customer service: Everyone I interacted with were extremely pleasant, professional and personable. They gave me options, answered all questions and gave me options. Service: They gave me exactly what I needed. This location is very clean and well kept. It has limited hours, since it is dtwn Mpls . It's located right next to Twins Stadium.. but if you know where JD Hoyt's is located on 3rd and Washington, take 3rd like you're going to the freeway or like you're going to Twins Stadium, it's on your right hand side and basically on the next corner. You have the ability to take care of all of your business online if you'd prefer to not go in and meet directly with a representative. I would definitely do business again, especially if I get to interact with Trynese and Tony; they made it very pleasant and easy for me.

DO NOT conduct business with Public Storage. I made a…read morereservation online about 3 days ago and then called the location to ask some questions , got a recorded outgoing message.."your business matters to us, we will return you phone call...". By the next day, they hadn't called back, so I called and left another message, they didn't call back. I called a third time (today) and left another message. Seems impossible to reach a human being at the physical location. I searched online and the only way I could reach a human was by trying the prompt set for "if you'd like to rent a storage unit, press 1..". Just now spoke with Mary. I told her of my frustration and dissatisfaction and was told that she'd cancel my rental (that was to begin TOMORROW) but the administration fee of $29.99 would not be refunded. So, I am being charged an administration fee for a service I have not even used and in fact have spent hours trying to reverse based on abysmal customer service. I am really disappointed. My bad for not reading through the extensive terms of Public Storage's legal-ese ridden (undecipherable) contract. Had I realized that even trying to merely reserve a storage unit would cost $29.99, I would not have done it. Horrible experience.

Jarrett Buxell is a man you want to do business with. I spoke with him for quite a while about my…read morerecent storage troubles (see my negative reviews for Extra Space Storage) and what I was looking for, and he provided a better solution in the next ten minutes than what I got in multiple days of dealing with ESS. He built the storage units at MPLS Storage himself (it's family-owned and operated). He showed me the 12ft walls, and how they can't be scaled by anything short of a full-sized ladder (ESS has 8-foot walls that can be cleared with a lawn chair). Tenants are admitted to their units by appointment only, which means no strangers following another customer through an unlocked door like at ESS. Most importantly, he listened. He heard my concerns and addressed them immediately. He's a human being who wants to help others store their belongings safely and securely, and he's the opposite of the experience I had at ESS. If you need to store stuff and don't mind making appointments, store your stuff at MPLS. You won't regret it.

Hi, I am leaving a mixed review for this place, and here's…read morewhy. I was in the process of moving so we rented two units here until we got settled. We moved over winter, so when it warmed up I went in to clear it out. There were so many nice turds. Some of my bags and items had been actually chewed through and items are now damaged. The rent was raised several times throughout renting here. One month it was raised I think 10 dollars, then a few months later it was raised another amount etc. this happened for a while. I never complained or asked about a discount or refund because well, I just didn't. I got my stuff out and left. Now - the positives - I will say it's nice to be able to enter at one of the many entrances, they have carts on site to use, it is climate controlled and it is fairly simple to get in and out. Staff is also extremely kind, very nice and helpful. I think it's ok for the situation I had, to just rent for a short time then get out. I couldn't imagine leaving my things in here for an extended period of time. Especially clothes. Yikes.
