Yes. I am writing a review about a storage facility. I would never even have known as much as I…read moreunfortunately know about them had I not moved about 5 times in the past 3 years. So, here it goes. I guess for the most part, the best things about this particular storage facility are: #1. The service and the people who work there. #2. Location, location, location! #3. Safety. #4. First month is free if you mention the special. Unlike other storage facilities that I've used (Public Storage and Uhaul), this is probably the best one. At least for me. The other places have their own pro's which I'll get to but also have some major cons. The people who work at East Bank Storage are friendly and knowledgeable. This is pretty much the ONLY storage facility close to a good neighborhood and not in some remote place in the middle of some remote ghetto. You'll see the least amount of sketchy people at this facility. The employees don't seem like crack heads nor do the people who put their entrusted belongings there. In fact, I think the employees listen to Christian rock music. The cons of East Bank; Unlike Public Storage or Uhaul where you can access your belongings 24/7, you can only access your belongings at this place monday through friday, during work hours. So, they close at 5p. And on saturday they close at 3p. And they are not open on sunday. The other major setback is that this facility is designed like a building and the units are on different floors, so there is a huge lift. The other places have drive up garages and individual units at ground level. But also exposed to the outdoors and the elements. So anyway, once-and-a-while, you get there and someone else is using the lift and you just have to wait. Luckily I've never waited that long but it could be a major clusterfuck during peak moving times. The nice thing though is that because of these hours, the facility is always being monitored. And when it closes, the whole place is on lock down. I have a friend who even rents a wine storage cellar there. So, it's basically more upscale with a few drawbacks. If you have nice or expensive shit, take it here instead of a mainstream facility. Otherwise, the others are a-ok, I guess.

Aside from the jankiest freight elevator around and the super limited hours to get your items out…read moreof storage, they charge you the first of the month and if you get your stuff out after the 5th of month, they still charge you for the whole month after assuring you when you sign up that you get prorated for the time you use in the month. I guess they have to make their money somehow and don't seem to think that following through with their statements when signing up is important. Find a nicer unit that you can access more freely (after 5pm or weekends) that actually has a more function way of moving your stuff up the floors. Never again.

Came to my storage unit after the second fire just to find that the lock on my storage unit was broken off and I opened my storage locker to find that my items were rummaged through. I immediately called customer service to explain what happened, customer service told me to call the President of this U-Haul facility due to myself not having insurance on the storage unit. I called the President of the facility just for the President to say that he can do nothing and to call the police; which I proceeded to do. This U-Haul facility was no help with this situation and was not empathetic about what happened at all. I would NOT recommend that anyone rents with this facility, find a different facility and save yourself the stress. Thank you, Have a wonderful day:)

Unsecure. Theft is rampant daily occurrence here. Cameras not working, gates not working, rear…read moregate along the river is just stuck open. Management is not very good with much of Anything really. Multiple units broken into on a weekly basis. Not worth the headache. Not secure and management just shrugs their shoulder and says call your insurance.

Water and snow ran in our unit and wreaked a bunch of our expensive stuff. Then they kept raising the rent. It started at $175 and went up to $291 in nothing flat. It would have cost us $500 for truck rental and to move our stuff to a better and cheaper place. But since we were looking to buy a house we waited. When we left, there were many empty units. They are pricing themselves out of business. YA! Don't rent at any of them as they have places all over. Look around you will find better and cheaper.

Required me to buy their fake insurance for another…read more$25/month and when the entire bottom floor was flooded for weeks and ruined my stuff they told absolutely everyone to pound sand. They levy a late fee after 5 days ($25) and after 20 days they hit you with another $50 late fee. Of course the phone payment system doesnt work but you wont realize that til days after you thought you paid - which works out great for collecting late fees. I have reported them to the Wisconsin DATCP.

The elevator is ancient and outdated with ropes & openings that felt dangerous and imprecise, leaving gaps and making it hard to get it to stop and be level for getting carts off. The directions for stopping at garage level are unclear and indefinite. The weekday only/Sat am till 3 pm hours are not convenient if people want to move in or out on Sat mid afternoon or all day Sunday, or in the evenings. Once I had to stand in the doorway while the staff person, who knew I was waiting, took a long phone call. This is a pet peeve, but of course he already had my business so it was more important to get a new customer rather than one already paying! Please be careful of the contract--I moved out mid month but had to pay for the entire month (17 days). This place is more provincial and inconvenient than any other (4-5) storage services I have experienced.
