Rented my space in March for 4 months at $421.18 for 4 months, including insurance and taxes was told at the time of rental that rent isn't raised at the end of the 4 months. I was just charged to my account $173.85 for July, I called to ask why, I was told my rent went up to $158 a month with taxes and insurance it goes up to $173.85. My rent went up from $92.48 a month to $158 a 59% raise without notification. And how convenient they send you the paid statement by email, but the raising of the rent via regular mail. read more

I absolutely love this location but now I'm extremely concerned. I looked up reviews to see if this happened to anyone else and it' also happened to Mr. Robert V. . You can read his review , here on Yelp. I had a new card sent to me, the 2nd or third month of renting space here , due to a fraudulent transaction. I can't remember what I have on auto pay so I expected to be called if for any reason my card didn't go thru. As it's stated by law to do so when renting a storage unit. I went to my storage unit at this location and was locked out. I was shocked because I never received a call, email, letter by mail or any kind of notice that my payment didn't go thru. It's scary to know that I had not been there sooner, they may have sold my precious items at auction without my knowing. I agree, something fishy is going on there. I hope I'm wrong. I've been renting here for a while. I wanted to dump a 2 drawer file cabinet in the dump and the associate said they couldn't throw away "wood". Clearly it was metal and I told him I threw away the same exact item (also, metal) a few weeks back. I had to put it back in my car and figure out somewhere else to dump. The convenience of having a dump is to be able to throw away small items. Super disappointed with the level of service. Thanks guy read more

This place is clean, has air conditioner which is a plus here in Miami, and the location is super convenient for me at least. Not cheap, but it's not that expensive either! I feel that my belongings are save there. Customer service is great! Would recommend it read more

Everything was going well until about 3 months ago that I lost my credit card. I was making payments on auto pay and unfortunately when I lost the card, payments were stopped because of change of information. I understand that I should've informed them but as I have about half a dozen cards, I couldn't remember which one was being charged. Upon arriving to close out my account, I was told I owed a huge amount. That's when I realized the situation with the lost card. I payed the amount but wasn't told what I was being charged. Then they tell me that I was 2 weeks from having my storage space being auctioned away. I asked if they tried to contact me and they said yes. First they tried to verify my phone number which was off by one digit then my address as well was off by one digit hmmm. About 2 days later, I spoke to another renter and he told me that his address was incorrect in the system too. Very fishy business going on here and I would like an investigation. I asked management if they tried to email me and they told me they weren't obligated to. That was the only piece of info which was correct read more

This facility is clean, well-lit, air conditioned and safe. They are not cheap, and a "long-term-valued customer" discount would be an incentive to rent even longer. read more

BEWARE!!!! This facility has the worst customer service in the world and they lie just to get you in there to rent. Mr. Lincoln (the manager) is very rude and always has a "not my problem" attitude. My rate was increased within the first 3 months of me being there when I was told that my rate would not increase for at least a year. Mr. Lincoln said that they never say those things. What they do say is "I don't see the rate rising within the next year". Seriously?!?!?! I don't know how this man can be so smug and be considered a manager. He tries to turn things around to make it sound like he did nothing wrong when he knows exactly what is going on. The reason I need to rent here is because I am having financial issues. RAISING MY RATE IS NOT HELPING THE SITUATION. I have a set paycheck that I receive and I calculate my budget accordingly. Thank you extra space for raising my rate so that I have to struggle even more now to pay my bills. To add insult to injury, Mr. Lincoln told me that during high season the rates will increase for all of the units. Why don't they take care of their current customers? I don't know! When I asked to speak to someone above him he said he was the highest one there and there was nothing I could do or no one else that I can speak to. After calling corporate I found out he is not the head honcho and I am waiting for his supervisor to call me now (day 2 of waiting and still no call). Also, if you are a female renting in this unit please use the restroom before coming to this dump. The women's restroom is always locked so you are forced to use the men's restroom which is disgusting. There is never any paper and there are feces splashed inside the toilet and sometimes it is sprayed on the walls. How it gets there I don't have a clue, but for the price that they are charging, I would at least expect a clean facility. I hope that if you are thinking of renting a unit here in the future you read reviews other than the ones on their website. I have tried to post my review multiple times on their website but it never gets posted. How funny! They obviously make fake 5 star reviews and only put those up to trick future renters. I am pretty sure that all of the positive reviews are made up by people working there. Oh and before I forget, don't even think you will be getting the free move-in truck. I booked the "FREE" moving truck, took a day off work, hired two men at $12.50/ hour each and showed up at the appointed time to start my move. I was told very unapologetically with a "not my problem" attitude by the manager on duty that the truck is shared with another location and that it had been in accident the evening before and no-one had called me. When I asked them to make good on the promise of the free truck. I was given the 800 no. for Budget Truck Rental!!! I ended up paying Budget $75.00, another $25.00 for gas and the men I hired $25.00 for an extra hour. So, EXTRA SPACE STORAGE COST ME $125.00 FOR A FREE TRUCK!. The male manager was very, very unprofessional, and I do not recommend them for this reason. On the other hand, the young woman manager who I booked the space and truck with originally was very professional and courteous, but I cannot recommend this facility until some offer of compensation is made. I also filled out a customer "dissatisfaction" survey that was sent to me in an email and I told them what happened and no-one has contacted me. read more
