However, when I arrived at the scheduled time, no one was there, and I wasn't helped until 3:45 PM. I explained that the delay put me an hour behind schedule and asked if she could offer a discount since I couldn't check in online without the keys she had. She responded that she "doesn't work for U-Haul," had other customers, and would not provide any discount--without even offering an apology for the inconvenience. This was especially disappointing considering I've been a customer here for the past six months. While I was in the office, she was also openly discussing issues about people living, cooking, and defecating on the property, which was very unprofessional. After a previous interaction…read moreinvolving my fiancé, I reserved a storage unit online under my own name, paid the required reservation fee, and received a phone call from the facility confirming my reservation and telling me to come in. During that call, I explained that I wanted the unit to store boxes. My purposes for reserving the unit had absolutely nothing to do with my fiancé. When I arrived, the on-site manager, Ronda, immediately informed me that I would not be allowed to rent because of my association with my fiancé. There was no discussion of my application, no opportunity to explain anything further, and no indication before I made the trip that my reservation would not be honored. What makes this especially frustrating is that someone from the facility had already spoken with me by phone before my arrival. If the decision had already been made that I would not be permitted to rent a unit, a simple phone call could have saved me the unnecessary trip, wasted time, and fuel. Instead, I was instructed to come to the facility only to be told upon arrival that I was not allowed on the property. After I escalated the matter to corporate, I was told my reservation fee would be refunded. The most frustrating part wasn't even the refund--it was the way we were treated. Forwarding a confusing internal email stating the fee had been paid by cash or check instead of answering a customer's questions directly, refusing to acknowledge obvious errors, and making us escalate to corporate for a resolution came across as childish, evasive, and deeply unprofessional. Businesses certainly have the right to decide who they rent to. What customers deserve in return is honest communication, respect for their time, and follow-through when a refund has been promised. Unfortunately, that was not my experience with the Seven Hills location, and based on my experience, I cannot recommend it.

They are always so friendly and have gone above and beyond for me on so many occasions. Second the facility is super clean and well maintained. I never see trash laying around, lights out, everything looks new. I also really like that app interface so there's no locks to cut (although you can use a lock if you want to) but the lock can be controlled with your phone instead of a key. This technology also allows you to be able to monitor your unit from your phone at all times to be sure it's locked and secure. Overall, the office staff, combined with the cleanliness and technology they utilize made this a top pick for my storage unit needs. I would highly recommend it.

I paid Golden State Storage Blue Diamond $92 in advance while I was in the middle of a move. Their…read moreconfirmation assigned me a unit and listed a rental period beginning September 7, but it also clearly stated that signing the lease was required to finalize the rental. I never signed the lease, received a gate code or lock code, accessed the unit, stored property there, or took possession. A representative scheduled an appointment with me for 8:00 a.m. I could not locate my identification by that time, and at approximately 9:00 a.m. I attempted to complete the paperwork online before driving over. I discovered that everything had already been voided. When I called and asked whether my paid transaction had been canceled because I did not complete everything precisely at 8:00 a.m., the manager started talking over me ... basically, explaining that because I hadn't updated my ID by 8 AM on the day of my reservation, they canceled it... Then she told me to find another storage facility and hung up on me. Golden State then issued a receipt claiming that I had been moved out, even though I never moved in and their own email said the unsigned lease had not been finalized. A separate receipt shows that a $92 credit was submitted to my card. The treatment, sudden cancellation, contradictory dates, and inaccurate move out record were unacceptable. I have escalated the matter to corporate and requested a complete explanation and correction of the account history. I mistake bish negatively impacting the bottom line lol
