It was obvious that the truck could have been moved closer, but instead they chose to charge me more. The only reason I believe that this could have happened is because they have an inadequate driver. When I address this with the driver he stated to me that he did not volunteer to move my things in the heat and humidity. If he didn't volunteer why was he driving my items to South Carolina? When this was addressed with the company they were rude and disrespectful and just as rude. As a disabled veteran, I expected honesty, fairness, and a willingness to work with me--not to be taken advantage of. When I contacted the company to explain the situation and requested a refund of the extra charge, they refused to make it right. I feel this company prioritized collecting additional fees over treating a customer fairly. I will not recommend Champion Movers based on my experience. IT'S SIMPLE DO YOUR RESEARCH AND DON'T USE THIS COMPANY!!

Everything had been documented upon delivery. They tried to tell us to deal directly with a supposed insurance company, however , after contacting the insurance company, no one replies. We let them know about this, and still no response. At this point we payed in full, and they have been ghosting us for months regarding the damages that they caused. This happened last December, about 5 months ago (absolutely unacceptable), and still has not been addressed by them. This is the most stressful and negligent experience we have had with a moving company by far.

I had to ship some items that were really fragile to central Wisconsin from Vegas so needless to…read moresay I was worried about the journey. From start to finish Chris and his family helped explain cost and everything else. One of the items that needed to be sent was about 100 years old (found that out from my family after I had shipped it) and it was packaged so well when it arrived with the other items. To give some clarity on its journey, I had 2 chairs, a 100-year-old tea set and some fragile wall oddly shaped art that all went on one pallet. The pallet according to the tracking was transferred about 6 times on other trucks to make it here so it was bumped around countless times in terminals being loaded and unloaded. All arrived with 0 scratches, dents and fully intact. No better feeling then unpacking everything and seeing it in the condition I sent it in.

Second, value is by far the best reason I went with them. Their price beat both the largest U-Haul or Penske truck, plus, you don't have to drive it across country! Trucks are also larger per cubic feet than what Penske or U-Haul even provide with their largest trucks. Third, if you aren't ready to move in, they will store your goods inside the trailer until you are ready (military members, storage is covered for an X amount of days.. check with TMO for most recent guidance). With a U-Haul or Penske, you'd have to unload it into storage if you aren't ready, only to have to reload. Trailers are easy to load, and you only pay for what you use, which is incrementally based upon how much of the trailer you use. I'll definitely use this company again!

Their Customer Care and Delivery Teams were fantastic, including Aaron (who picked up my Zippy Shell container at the destination). I have moved items from the West Coast to East Coast and back several times over the years. It is not easy moving a lot of items over a long distance without paying an arm and a leg or losing/breaking things. Zippy Shell gave me confidence that my belongings would arrive without issue (and it did). I initially signed a contract with a full, comprehensive moving service, but after hours wasted on multiple phone calls/no-shows, I ended up cancelling the service due to lack of reliability and trustworthiness from their staff. In contrast, the Zippy Shell agent on the phone worked to make the service perfect for what were important to me: budget and reliability. I wish I could remember the name of the first person that helped me at Zippy Shell in the Customer Care team. He was fantastic and gave me the confidence to go sign the agreement that day even though it was not the cheapest quote I had received. There are always little hiccups (e.g. the Zippy Shell and Pack Rat systems don't seem to play nice), but Zippy Shell has been fantastic overall! There was a team of 6 that showed up for the job. They were nice and professional. As a matters of fact, their team lead pointed out the crack in the TV after it got moved to our new residence. He assured us we would be able to submit a claim and it would be taken care of. The claim was ultimately denied and they said it's because we can't prove the TV wasn't like that prior to the move. So basically when we did the initial walk through, not a single one of the 6 men noted the crack?Interesting. Read other reviews and do your own research before using this company. It looks like this has happened to a few people.

I thought the move would take around 4 hours. The movers were taking their time and very slow. It ended up taking 6 hours. They also damaged the wall getting the sofa out of the first apartment which could have been avoided if they had taken their legs off the sofa. We had everything packed and ready to go so it was only some tubs, boxes and furniture. They charged by the hour. Not sure I'd use them again. The move cost double what I thought it would, after tip it was over $1,000. I guess the one good thing is they didn't break anything.
