This morning I got a message that my movers were on the way. So I called again. I finally ended up speaking with Mark. He was very rude and condescending. He would not let me finish my sentence, and had zero empathy. While I did initially reschedule due to personal reasons, the elevator in my building is down, which makes moving from the 8th floor an issue. They want to charge me a $200 change fee for a move that I rescheduled in their portal two weeks ago. Terrible service.

The day of the move our movers were an hour late and our truck driver was waiting for over two hours, since he was early. The driver kept asking me where the movers were, as if I was in charge of organizing this operation. Evidently they piecemeal their operations so there is no consistancy with communication between the parties involved. The movers on our delivery day were also late, and had never contacted us, so we had to go through the Bellhop service line to try to track them down. We ended up hanging out with our driver, who was early again. He informed us that this is very typical of Bellhop and there had been customers who had waited up to three days for movers to show up. That kind of freaked us out. The movers are NOT professional movers. They appear to be hourly workers, which is fine, but they could have cared less about our things. One of our mattresses was ripped up and our sofa now has a permanent dent in it. We made the claim for our sofa and received $60 as our settlement, which won't replace or pay for repairs in the slightest. Our guest room mattress that got ripped up got denied for the claim, because we didn't see the damaged until we set up the guest room after the 5 day claim window. If you do book with them, be sure to have everything unpacked and set up within 5 days in case you need to make a claim.

The professional over the phone appropriately dealt with all my COVID concerns and reassured me that the movers would be wearing masks and all of my furniture would be protected. TIMELY & EARLY - Dylon and his amazing team texted me the morning of to confirm and ask me if I had any questions. Then he called me a couple hours before to ask if he could come earlier as they finished another job earlier. I said great!!! They arrived an hour earlier and requested a tour. They arrived all wearing masks and were polite and friendly, which made me feel safe as a single female. EFFICIENT & DILIGENT- The guys were super efficient and surgical as they expediately wrapped and moved my furniture and boxes. I was BEYOND impressed at their pace of working. ABOVE & BEYOND - Dylon and his team say me moving hangers and smaller items from my car and immediately jumped in to help. The guys cleaned up everything and all trash, they also made sure that in each room that the way that I wanted to furniture to be arranged. I will use them time and time again! They actually suggested I rent a truck for them to use! Stay far away from these people. I'm going to have to sue them for damages!

When I said no, cancel the order, they said my $3200 was theirs to keep. AVOID this company as it is nothing but fraud!

After submitting my inquiry for movers on Yelp (with super late notice - I needed service the very…read morenext day!!), I received quite a few estimates from other companies, and Best Price Movers BY FAR offered the best price for the 3 hours needed. Total came to $421 in case competitors are curious. And that included the fee for distance and travel time for 30 minutes and TWO stops with the truck!!! And I am happy to report that they did a fabulous job today. The two guys who came to move my things arrived within the quoted timeframe window and worked so hard. They were also very personable which was a plus since people can be weird; these guys were NOT! They had some issues backing the truck into my narrow parking area but then again so would I, given that truck's size! The only disappointment was that they couldn't remove the TV mount from the wall which would probably have required a socket wrench, but they did get the TV off of the mount. I understood the liability so I'm going to have a friend help me with that later this week. Even my parents were surprised by the deal I got. So yes, I would recommend Best Price Movers and their yellow truck to anyone I know who wants to shop smart and save their backs.

They were very efficient and very fast but the woman I spoke with prior to the move ensured me there would be 4-5 wardrobe boxes for all of my hanging clothes, they only brought one. I had to make 3 more trips in my personal car to pick up the rest of my clothes which defeats the purpose of hiring movers. I messaged the woman back on Yelp about this and she left me on read with no offers of a solution for over a year. About a year later I decide to give them another chance and bring up the issue with the wardrobe boxes before. She offers a $50 discount and this time I arrange for 3 people to come and move me from a first floor apartment to a single story home. The most inefficient move I have ever experienced, they took longer to move than when I lived on the third floor and the guys had to wait for the elevator. They moved at a glacial pace and I ended up paying for 3 guys for the same amount of time as it took the first time I moved. On top of all of this they didn't wear gloves or wash their hands so my light furniture has black handprints on it from the moving dust on their hands. One of the guys dragged a piece of furniture and broke off a leg and I watched him use a piece of plastic to wedge the leg back in. Very unprofessional movers in my opinion, only one guy was taking his job seriously and trying to get me moved quickly the other two just lingered around waiting for him to move and package all my things. I didn't see a point in reaching out about the damage or the handprints as the customer service had already proved once your move is complete they could not care less about you. I'm happy I'm in a home I purchased so I never have to experience these movers again.

I understand that technical issues occur- and the follow up to my complaint was meaningful and sincere. Michael immediately contacted me to let me know that he was sorry for the inconvenience and that he is committed to excellent communication and service. He went out of his way to acknowledge the error and extend a discount as a gesture of good faith. That is not too common in this world- and I will trust his company should we need service in the future. I do want to note that the gentlemen who moved us were polite, very efficient and careful.
